Wayne Bridge makes himself unavailable for England

Really feel for the bloke. To pass up an opportunity to play for England (and almost-certainly his only chance) makes me think this whole situation meant far more to him than many have imagined.

Indeed, people who have experienced the effect cheating can have on a person and there families will realise how devastating it can be to peoples lives.

Ignorant thinking.

pretty tough decision - didn't realise that your woman in question was the Bridge had his kid with. i think that adds another dimension to get your head round (shouldn't but it does). if she was just an ex then you'd just have to get on with it and call terry all the ****s of the day.

sigh.... Its just a bit of rooting,

I cant believe people take this whole "affair" business so seriously.

If your religious... then you believe sex is for married people only and so Bridge shouldnt have been ****ing her either.. not to mention a "bastard child"

If you not religious.... then who's rules say she cant **** JT?

Women arent goods and chattels owned by men (hah if only), she decided that she wanted to root another bloke, dont take it personally Wayne.

Where is the line? does Bridge not put his hand up if...

She smiles at JT

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

She talks to JT

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

She has a cup of coffee with JT

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

she pecks JT on the cheek

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

She slips JT the tongue

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

She gets/gives a handjob

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

She gets/gives a bit of oral

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Or is it just that "final act". that is reason to end it..... for crying out loud, we live in the 21st century and we still run our lives by moral rules set by religious nincompoops 500+ years ago.

I don't think he's going to be missing anything this summer.

As a squad we appear to be in melt-down.

First-choice left-back crocked, second-choice left-back withdraws, possible inexperienced left-back, first-choice right-back injured, new captain has hardly kicked a ball all season and is still broken, old captain's head trying to fix a broken marriage and no definite first-choice keeper.

We know when we're really in the sh*t - when the press mention fookin Titus Bramble.

As for the rest of the squad, they're praying that Terry and Cole are OK for the World Cup as they won't want to be in South Africa if Terry and Cole are left at home in England.

Anyway, I've woken-up in a bad mood for some reason.

if Toni Poole can go back to shagging JT , I can't see why a bloke can't show enough bottle to play football with him.

show some spine man :)

Bridge is perhaps not as good as the other options, Baines and Warnock, but this is quite sad news when a player is forced to leave the squad (ok, I know he wasn't forced as in "forced")

Just wish the papers would have left himself and Terry alone though.

I don't reckon he'd have got in the squad anyway but yeah, breaking news on sky, he's made himself unavailable.

Cause he would of got in the squad you moron! Who else would Capello of taken?

Anyway I personally think Bridge may have done the right thing here because even though he will be gutted at missing out on the World Cup, he will also be saving himself the embarresment of seeing Terry everyday and living with Terry everyday for a month, more importantly I think it will save England the embarresment aswell because whilst England are at the World Cup so are the media following them everywhere so we dont really need them nobheads making false stories up about Bridge and Terry whilst in Africa.

If Capello wants to take a natural replacement then I would take Keiran Gibbs if he is fit enough, I would take him so he can gain experience on the big stage. People may not realise but if Walcott does get selected for the World Cup squad then its going to be easier for him to settle in because he has been away with a World Cup squad before and knows what he is going to expect, when it comes to pressure the players are under, the media, not seeing family and friends for a period of time.

Bridge not being in the England squad will not be catastrophic for the England squad, but his experience will be missed in Cole's potential absence.

Agree with other posts in the thread re: him quitting though. Very, very sad that he has to be the one to go when he's the victim in everything. I can imagine if the same circumstances arose in normal, every day life, there'd have been retaliation and maybe even injury caused to the person playing Terry's role in everything.

Infact, Terry wants to count himself lucky that Bridge has more dignity and self-control than, for example, Roy Keane. Otherwise he'd probably be missing the World Cup as well.

Still time for that, bridge is in the man city squad for tomorrow. As much of twat terry has been, i hope he can restrain himself tomorrow if any 50/50 situations arise between himself and terry tomorrow. Only time will tell i guess.

To be honest I would back JT in any 50/50 against most players! Bridge isnt going to do anything stupid on the pitch.

The pre-match handshakes will have a lot of cameras on the players tomorrow.

Does this issue actually go away WITHOUT Wayne Bridge being there?

I mean, players in the Bridge camp would still be in the bridge camp, regardless of his absence? or am i wrong?

Also, i dont see why it should be the perogative of the PLAYER to make himself unavaiable for a national squad. That decision should not be put in his hands.

In fact it is Bridge that has made his OWN position untennable as he himself obviously feels the current situation will not enable him, or his squad members to perform to their optimum in his presence.

So whilst i can understand why he did it, i also think its a selfish act.

IM NOT STANDING UP FOR JT AT ALL.

I also thik the timing was 'convenient' in the sense it came right on the eve of the Chelsea game, and, for one reason or another, im pretty sure this helped drum up more support for the decision.

If I was in his position I'd find it difficult being around John Terry.

I'm sure some people will come in here saying hes overreacted etc, but he hasnt.

Agreed, I know I couldnt do the job 100% if I had to work alongside the guy who just did the dirty with my wife. I feel so bad for the bloke.

Probably get banned from youtube for this.

He should have gone to shake his hand and then thumbed his nose at him. That'd learn him.

Many thanks for posting the youtube videos...

I am only guessing the football league and prem claim copyright because some guy is sitting there searching for their material . This may sounds silly, but if you name a leicester highlights youtube video ' saturday night out' or ' summer holiday in wales' or something equally silly, would they be able to find it? I guess if the video is specifially for foxestalk folks it doesnt really matter what its called....

If you dont want to risk them finding it and banning your account even with an obscure name i am happy to trial the idea on my youtube account....

I dont have the recording facilities, tho... so let me know if you are intrested...
