Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 For the first time, I am pleased Man Utd won. Fed up of this Holloway/Blackpool love in, really hope they drop like a stone.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 10 minutes added time. Did anyone who watched this know if the clock actually went to 100 minutes? I've wanted to see a game that went to a 100 in normal time, think I may have missed my chance!
StanSP Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 For the first time, I am pleased Man Utd won. Fed up of this Holloway/Blackpool love in, really hope they drop like a stone. Why? Against all the odds, they haven't done a Derby and just capitulated since day one and been mauled over by every team in the league. They've actually given it a proper fight and shown no fear against any side. No one would have expected them to do so well up until now. Credit due to them because it's fully deserved. But also credit to Man Utd today because a comeback like that is a sign of champions.
VinceNoir Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 Liverpool 1-0 up against Fulham. Perhaps the funniest goal this season.
StanSP Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 Liverpool 1-0 up against Fulham. Perhaps the funniest goal this season. Definitely up there! Comical defending. Don't know why he didn't just let Stockdale take it! For those that didn't see, it was a Torres shot. Deflected. Hits post. Bounces out. Hits Pantsil. Stockdale tries to grab it. Pantsil takes a few swings at it. His final swing, it slices off his shin and spins in to the goal.
ScouseFox Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 Second comedy own goal of the season for pantsil.
StanSP Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 Blackpool have been fined £25,000 for that team they fielded against Villa back in November. A match that very nearly ended with the beating Villa I think despite fielding a 'second-string' side.
StanSP Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 According to the Guardian, they're gonna release a big transfer news story at 5.30pm I'm guessing Suarez to Liverpool.
StanSP Posted 27 January 2011 Posted 27 January 2011 Turns out it was just that Inter are going to bid for Gareth Bale. Anti-climax!

Edmund Posted 28 January 2011 Posted 28 January 2011 Turns out it was just that Inter are going to bid for Gareth Bale. Anti-climax! £40,000,000 is the fee being branded about! Spurs fans on talksport saying he's worth more
StanSP Posted 28 January 2011 Posted 28 January 2011 £40,000,000 is the fee being branded about! Spurs fans on talksport saying he's worth more Silly money. I know he's been one of the top players in the CL, but he's got same amount of assists as Xisco, one (thanks OptaJoe ) Top player. But £40m

ScouseFox Posted 28 January 2011 Posted 28 January 2011 Hope torres leaves Liverpool. Ngog as their only striker
shen Posted 28 January 2011 Posted 28 January 2011 Hope torres leaves Liverpool. Ngog as their only striker Only until Suarez comes in
sdb Posted 28 January 2011 Posted 28 January 2011 Torres asks to leave for Chels according to Guardian.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 28 January 2011 Posted 28 January 2011 I think Torres is the most overrated player. He can be brillaint yes, but most the time he is either injured for weeks or ineffective. He didnt even seem to try under Hodgson, like he never wanted to play for him. Think they could find a better striker for that money, maybe an upcoming one.

You're not over-rated if you have best goals per minute record in Premier League history. Think it's something like a goal every 130 minutes?
Finnegan Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 Torres overrated? Behave. On form he's the best in the world, fact. That Liverpool can't look after or motivate him is more symptomatic of the fact the club is in a complete shambles than anything else. The idea of a Torres / Suarez partnership is sexual - they should be doing everything to keep him happy. Really hope he doesn't go to Chelsea.
Uncle Phil Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 Liverpool have rejected his transfer request. I agree Torres is top class, he's just become disillusioned with life on a sinking ship. Like has been said they should be doing everything possible to make sure he wants to not only stay but perform for the club. If their club is to succeed they need a performing Torres and now Suarez.
