Tunchev back in training

Heres hoping he'll be fit within a month or two, was pretty solid when he played and him, davies and hobbs all swapping between each other should sort out our defence pretty neatly.

was told the other day Birch said he's the only player in all he's years that when injured has turned up to training everyday

Typical Leicester luck.

He'll come back. Play a blinder, be defender of the year, and sign for someone on a free in January or the end of the year!

Oh how i pray his now glass knees don't shatter again

Tunchev is like the Rolls Royce of centre halves, be absolutely awesome to see him back in the back four.

I would assume Sven know's all about his capabilities and would try his utmost to keep him once he proves his injury nightmare is finally behind him.

Would be like signing 2 new players in my opinion. :scarf:

Not only does Tunchev share the same first name as me and birthday as me, but he also has some of the palest legs i've ever seen. haha! GEWON TUNCH.

He's got the same butt cheeks as you, and he screams exactly like you when were bum loving!!! :lei1:

Never saw him play I don't think, he played during my rebellious season when I forgot about Leicester. I've heard good things though, I hope he gets better soon.

oh how we have missed him one of the best defenders to put the blue shirt on hope he comes back ok we always seem to lose our really good players to long time injurys or they have to retire

Posted

from the pic it looks like he's doing more than just the basic ball work. I'd guess its just a case of strengthening the knee (s) now and upping the intensity of his sessions. you never know, we could see the Tunch back by Xmas

Posted

He's still got it, just look at the picture of him. He's pointing to the players around him to find space for him to thread one through to them. He reminds me of Ronnie O'Sullivan, he's always thinking 2 or 3 steps ahead.

All I want for christmas is my two tunchev's.

IF he can fully recover from this serious injury and SHOULD he be back to perform on a more or less regular basis this season already, that's our defense sorted then.

Would be a crying shame for him not being to play the beautiful game no more.

All the best, Tunch.

it's the cultured left foot, he was sublime at spraying those curling passes down the flank for Dyer to run on to. I remember when Walsh used to do them back in the 90's and they'd end up in the Carling Stand or on Bentleys Roof.

Tunchev and Davies with a Hobbs mixer would be obscene.

I sincerly hope tunch comes back fully fit and goes on to be our best ever centre half etc. BUT remember guys, tunch looked awesome in league one. The same league mattt fryatt tore apart. Look at him now, he doesn't look anywhere near the class.

I love tunch just as much as anyone else but I'm a bit sceptical has to how good he will be in this league. We'll have to wait and see I suppose

I for one can't wait to get him back so long as he's anywhere near able to play to the standard he did before his injuries. Even 80-90% Tunch would be better than our current defenders.

Ive got a bottle of Slivovitz in the Tantalus ready for the day he returns

i don't intend drinking the stuff though cuz it's fookin horrible

Anyone else zoom in and notice what looks like a row of stitches on the inside of his right knee? Was is the ligament below there which was the problem? It also looks like there is another patch of scar tissue just above and behind that - either that or some sort of protective layer.

Could be a trick of the light, I guess...

Either way he certainly looks like he can move feely, which is great. The past year must have been absolutely horrible for him, and I really wish him the best of luck getting back.

Part of me hopes he sees this thread as a bit of extra encouragement. He definitely has the support of the fans. We've not forgotten you Tunch! :scarf:
