cc_star Posted 13 January 2011 Posted 13 January 2011 Following on from our cup heroics against ManCity, can we make it three on the bounce in the league. Two league wins & great cup performance is sure to have raised the confidence levels, but as we all know Leicester aren't immune to making hardwork of teams at the wrong end of the table. The first bit of team news has leaked out via Stringer's Twitter who said that Yakubu will be fit to face PNE, but Vassell is out Yak not available for Man City, fit to start Sat, Vassell not. So it looks like all the debate about potential changes to our formation isn't needed, and the Yak will slot straight into Vassell position
ScouseFox Posted 13 January 2011 Posted 13 January 2011 Vassell injured? Not too bad with Yak presumably coming straight in in his place.
Fox1651 Posted 13 January 2011 Posted 13 January 2011 Logan Neilson Mee Bamba Lamey Oakley Gallagher Dyer King Yakubu Berner Or no on second thoughts . . . . . Weale Naughton Hobbs Bamba Berner Abe Wellens King Dyer Yakubu Waghorn Subs Gallagher Logan Vassell (if fit swop for Waggers) Oakley Howard Mee The Moooose
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 13 January 2011 Posted 13 January 2011 Same as Fox1651 - well the 2nd line up anyway
B52 Posted 13 January 2011 Posted 13 January 2011 Weale Naughton Hobbs Mee Berner Bamba Abe Dyer Gallagher Wellens Yakubu A bit defensive but with a lot of goal-oppurtunitys. Or: Weale Naughton Hobbs Mee Bamba Abe Gallagher Dyer Wellens King Yakubu Subs: Berner Logan Neilson Oakley Howard Waghorn Vassell
AmyLGK Posted 13 January 2011 Posted 13 January 2011 Hmmmm preston have a new manager and new players - they are now an unknown force and - as usual cause Im pessimistic! - i think we could slip up here if not careful! BUT COME ON CITY! :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:
Jiggers the Fox Posted 13 January 2011 Posted 13 January 2011 as soon as the man city game finished i knew we would lose this! Typical leicester to play like champions against one of the best sides in the country and then lose pitifully to a struggling PNE!!
Salieri Posted 13 January 2011 Posted 13 January 2011 I'd be surprised if it isn't : Weale Naughton Hobbs Bamba Berner Abe Wellens King Dyer Yakubu Gallagher FEED THE YAK!!!!!!!!!
cc_star Posted 13 January 2011 Author Posted 13 January 2011 Weale Naughton - Bamba - Hobbs - BernerGallagher - Abe - Wellens - King - DyerYakubu Dyer & Gally obviously push on to make it 4-3-3 when the game is going our way Practically picks itself with the only debate being whether Mee will displace Hobbs or not, personally I think it will be a raw deal for Hobbs if that does happen, but Mee hasn't come to sit on the bench (I wouldn't have thought)
Gazza M Posted 13 January 2011 Posted 13 January 2011 I think it is going to be really interesting to see what team is selected for the Preston match. Lets pull no punches here, we must be winning all of the games against the bottom of the table now on in if we are going to climb in to the top six. They are going to be fired up as they have a new manager and they haven't won for a very long time, so it will be a difficult task. I see this as the starting line up: WEALE NAUGHTON BAMBA HOBBS MEE ABE WELLENS KING DYER GALLAGHER YAKUBU I dont think that Ben Mee has been brought in for no reason and I feel that he will get his debut this weekend. I think there may be a fair bit of rotation between him and Berner throughout the rest of the season. Yakubu will also start as Vassell is out, but whether he will make the 90 mins I'm not sure. I'm going for a 2-1 win. Don't care who scores, but I think Andy king will be one of them!
Stevosevic Posted 13 January 2011 Posted 13 January 2011 We will see: Weale Naughton Hobbs Bamba Mee Abe Wellens King Gallagher Yakubu Dyer
ScouseFox Posted 13 January 2011 Posted 13 January 2011 Weale Berner Bamba Hobbs Naughton Abe Wellens King Gallagher Yakubu Dyer Think there'll be a few goals in this one, 2-3, King, Bamba and Gallagher for us.
prestonfox Posted 13 January 2011 Posted 13 January 2011 Can't see Preston doing much more than stopping city and trying to sneak something. Sent from my GT-P1000 using Tapatalk
Guest Mee-9 Posted 13 January 2011 Posted 13 January 2011 Same as its been, Just Yakubu in for Vassell if needs must.
RowlattsFox Posted 13 January 2011 Posted 13 January 2011 Only question is whether Mee replaces Berner at left back and I think he will, not that Berner deserves to be dropped though. Could be some logic in it though because Berner has to play Tuesday, and if he plays Saturday and gets injured then we'll be struggling for left backs.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 13 January 2011 Posted 13 January 2011 Weale Naughton Bamba Hobbs BernerAbeWellens KingGallagher Yakubu Dyer Pretty much picks itself.
phillthefox Posted 13 January 2011 Posted 13 January 2011 a mate of mine is a forest fan and went preston last week in fa cup says preston were garbage , so we will prob lose to them, although i think yakubu and 3-0 weale naughton hobbs bamba mee wellens king abe dyer gallagher YAKUBU :sge:
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 13 January 2011 Posted 13 January 2011 Weale Berner Bamba Hobbs Naughton Abe Wellens King Gallagher Yakubu Dyer This team. Reckon we'll win 2-0.
Cheese Me Posted 13 January 2011 Posted 13 January 2011 Very wary of this one. New manager effect and all that, risk of complacency after Man City Sven needs to make sure he's got them right up for this, it will be a battle
shailen Posted 13 January 2011 Posted 13 January 2011 The score will be 5-0 to us. ( gally 2, king, dyer and bamba)
TheUltimateWinner Posted 13 January 2011 Posted 13 January 2011 Logan (IS IT ONLY ME WHO SEES TALENT IN THIS LAD?.. Yes.) Naughton Bamba Hobbs Mee Abe Wellens King Gallagher Yakubu Moussa (I Say give him a run out) And 4-0 Yakubu backheel from the centre circle twice. King 1 Gallagher 1
Kitchandro Posted 13 January 2011 Posted 13 January 2011 Weale Berner Bamba Hobbs Naughton Abe Wellens King Gallagher Yakubu Dyer Think there'll be a few goals in this one, 2-3, King, Bamba and Gallagher for us. Yep no need to change it apart from Vassell
