Guest BlueBrett Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 Quote from sky sports highlighting Liverpool's crazy desperation - : Interesting stats - if Liverpool pay £35million for Andy Carroll they are getting a player outscored in the Championship last season by Peter Whittingham, Nicky Maynard, Gary Hooper, Michael Chopra and Charlie Adam They are bloody mental.
Babylon Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 Sky now saying £35m plus ad ons, could go to £40m............................ Just get Nicky Maynard for a bag of peanuts. What a waste of money.
surrifox Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 Bristol City to sign Martyn Woolford and once the loan is cancelled by Wolves/Cardiff, Keogh's going to Bristol C on loan! Surprised Cardiff haven't extended his loan as I thought he was doing okay there. pretty good bit of business by BC - S****horpe presumably clearing the decks ahead of the end of year relegation exodus
ScouseFox Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 Apparently Charlie Adam to join united is now 1/4 with a few bookies, interesting.
CloudFox Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 Sky now saying £35m plus ad ons, could go to £40m............................ Just get Nicky Maynard for a bag of peanuts. What a waste of money. That's equating Carroll to the same value/worth as Sergio Aguero, and around £10 million more than Edin Dzeko. This is making Man Citeh look like bargain hunters!! ...and people thought Villa were mad to pay up to £24 million for Bent...
StanSP Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 Improved Carroll bid has been REJECTED by Newcastle. Seems like he's staying put for now then! How much do they want?!
ScouseFox Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 Improved Carroll bid has been REJECTED by Newcastle. Seems like he's staying put for now then! How much do they want?! As much as they can get out of Liverpool. Everyone's aware they're (probably) about to gain around £50,000,000, and they're panicking about having no replacement for Torres. Newcastle just milking the situation to get as much as they can presumably.
StanSP Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 No replacement for Torres? Suarez And don't forget eggnog!
sdb Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 Carroll, for me - £20 mill player, potentially 25. £35 is insane. They could/should get Anelka/Adam/Young for that money.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 Improved Carroll bid has been REJECTED by Newcastle.Seems like he's staying put for now then! How much do they want?! They need their heads testing if they have turned down 35 mill for him. Carroll, for me - £20 mill player, potentially 25. £35 is insane. They could/should get Anelka/Adam/Young for that money. He's not even worth that. 10/15 at most for me. He will become less and less effective as time goes on. When he first came to the Prem people were taken aback by his size, power and aggression and that was how he did so much damage. They are all attributes that can be guarded against though if properly planned for. It's not as if he's particularly quick or skillful or creative.
StanSP Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 Is Carroll actually going then? He wants to. Newcastle want more ££££.
Corky Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 Will Newcastle get an adequate replacement though?
ScouseFox Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 Rumours of Peter Crouch heading to Newcastle if they lose Carroll.
ScouseFox Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 Newcastle "reluctantly" accept transfer request from Carroll. Liverpool are looking like signing him now, dependant on the Torres deal I assume.
ajthefox Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 As if Newcastle are "reluctant" to accept. This is possibly the worst signing I've ever seen. £35 million for Carroll, 35 fvcking million. Absolute joke. Liverpool's new owner and indeed Dalglish are both MUGS.
Jon the Hat Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 I am going to piss myself if Roman pulls the plug and the whole house of cards collapses.
Guest Bilo Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 Well if Liverpool have paid £35 million for Carroll I shudder to think how much they'll pay for Charlie Adam. I reckon we could get a good couple of mill for Robbie Neilson if they fancy it.
accessory Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 Rumour is that Man Utd have put in a bid for Charlie Adam. I'm not sure whether they really want him, or if Fergie just wants to see Liverpool jizz even more money away!
VinceNoir Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 Liverpool closing in on Adam now.. Blackpool should hold out for around 10 million. Especially if bloody Carroll is worth 35!! Thought it was mad when Villa bought Bent for 24 million, but this is just utterly insane.
Bob Farley Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 On other news, Wolfsburg sell dzeko and get tuncay haha
