Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 5 August 2012 Posted 5 August 2012 Might also be the best... Club Atletico Newell's Old Boys
Finchy Posted 5 August 2012 Posted 5 August 2012 As if Arsenal's badge is in this thread! Perfect badge. This is pretty crap though
foxfanazer Posted 5 August 2012 Posted 5 August 2012 I've always thought Bolton's is crap. We really do have a great badge
Finnegan Posted 6 August 2012 Posted 6 August 2012 How people can suggest stuff like Fulham or Arsenal when there are some real shockers involving cartoon animals and zebras out there is beyond me. They might be a bit bland but they aren't embarrassing. Don't think there's much wrong with Cardiff's either besides the back story and the slogan, neither of which are the artist's fault.

Agree to be fair. Cardiff's is just a design by committee show of blandness, pales in comparison to the embarrassment of having a fvcking zebra on your badge. I actually think Barnsley's old badge is one of the worst, a cartoon bulldog? Come on. At least their current one makes a nod to the history of the town they represent.
Tielemans63 Posted 6 August 2012 Posted 6 August 2012 Bari's 'Frit' Chicken' crest is pretty cool. You can almost hear him saying 'What da fuuuuuuck?' Sampdoria's is just bizzare - no doubt someone who is much more proactive than me will find out what it means but I look it and see a heavily shadowed profile of a late Eighties Ruud Gullit smoking a pipe. Not sure if that makes me a bit of a racist - hopefully not. Wycombe's appears to feature a sado-masochistic swan / duck mutant bird with a penchant for asphyxiation and a less than discreet anal piercing.

Finnegan Posted 6 August 2012 Posted 6 August 2012 See Bari is more like it, that's blatantly a rejected design for chicken cottage. Sampdoria's is a sailor and represents the local shipping heritage.
Guest Bilo Posted 6 August 2012 Posted 6 August 2012 A dolphin playing football. Why? Just... just why?
purpleronnie Posted 6 August 2012 Posted 6 August 2012 A dolphin playing football. Why? Just... just why? Miami is full of 'em.
Guest Bilo Posted 6 August 2012 Posted 6 August 2012 The sad thing is that a lot of these will be tattooed onto somebody's arm.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 6 August 2012 Posted 6 August 2012 Barnsley's new one wouldn't look half as bad if they kept the griffin, crest and scroll and ditched the rest (the Village People).

It is possible to design a badge that makes a nod to the history of the club without it being ugly as sin. It's a terrible design - far too much going on and too many colours. It's a mess. They could have done something much more easy on the eye using just the important elements like the griffin, the pickaxe, etc.
Fox96 Posted 6 August 2012 Posted 6 August 2012 Probably been mentioned but Newells Old Boys, of Argentina.

Mike the Metal Ed Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 To be honest, I only know of this thanks to FM image packs. Whoever thought a photograph as part of a logo was a good idea should be sacked, particularly one of a crumbling old castle that was never actually a castle.
