Webbo Posted 25 April 2011 Posted 25 April 2011 Weale-7 Didn't do a lot wrong Van Aanholt-7 Shouldn't be running into the box when we're defending a lead. Vitor-8.5Superb Mee-8 Not sure about his part in their second will have to watch the replay. Naughton-7 At fault for their first. Abe-7.5 Ok Wellens-7 Bruma-8.5 Sound game in midfield two superb goals King-7.5 Made some good runs Gallagher-7.5 Some of his corners even looked threatening today Vassell-7.5 Worked hard. SUBS: Yakubu-8 Maybe he's better from the bench Dyer -N/A Tunchev-N/A
The Doctor Posted 25 April 2011 Posted 25 April 2011 Weale - 7 - He's not the worst keeper in the league. Had no chance with either of the goals and didn't have that much to do otherwise. Naughton - 7 - Caught out for their first but still did quite well. Vitor - 8 - The boy just oozes class. Mee - 7.5 - Could have done better for their second but still looked good PVA - 7 - Played well, good touches and got forward well Abe - 7 - OK, needs to perhaps look for the shot rather than moving the ball on every time. Wellens - 7 - Did well, still showing he's better with abe alongside him King - 7 - good runs but his touch infront of goal appears to have deserted him somewhat. Bruma - 8.5 - Spectacular goals and so much more assured in midfield. Gallagher - 7.5 - Set-pieces still lacking a bit but got stuck in and harried more than usual. Vassell - 7 - As usual hard work with little reward infront of goal. Subs: Dyer - N/A Tunchev - N/A Yakubu - 8 - Played with a point to prove, chased more and got his reward after two mistakes by loach.
MC Prussian Posted 25 April 2011 Posted 25 April 2011 Weale - 6 (didn't have a lot to do today, to be fair) Van Aanholt - 8 Mee - 7 Vitor - 8 Naughton - 7 Bruma - 9 Abe - 7 Wellens - 5 King - 5 Gallagher - 7 Vassell - 7 Subs: Yakubu - 9 Dyer - N/A (too little playing time) Tunchev - N/A (too little playing time)
lcfcsnow Posted 25 April 2011 Posted 25 April 2011 Weale - 5 nowhere near saving goals as always, almost made a right mess towards the end of the game. Naughton - 6 two bad errors first half one which led to a goal, but much better in the 2nd. Vitor - 8 class act as always. Mee - 8 i love the way he plays. PVA - 7.5 much, much better. Abe - 7 Wellens - 6 King - 6.5 Bruma - 8.5 very comfortable on the ball, two wonder strikes. Gallagher and Vassell - 8 for their effort alone, brilliant. Yakubu - 8 great to see a hungry YAK!
Brown Fox Posted 25 April 2011 Posted 25 April 2011 Weale 6 - Not much to do and couldn't help either goal Naughton 6- Probably his worst performance for us but I'll let him off cos i love him and he's been sensational all season Vitor 8 - Dealt with Graham so well Mee 8 - Solid PVA 6 - Some decent runs but needs work defensively Bruma 9 - MOTM. Oozed quality today and looked so comfortable at CDM than CB. Nobody got near him and he scored two 40 yarders. Fair play to him. King 6 - Missed a sitter albeit on his left foot. More involved today but looked leggy Wellens 6 - Tried to influence the game as usual but took a knock and couldn't continue Abe 7 - Very good on the ball I just wish he would shoot! Gallagher 8 - Actually got stuck in today. Won a fair few tackles and 2nd half became more central and started to pull the strings. Wouldn't mind him playing CAM if he could be more consistent there. Vassell 7 - Tireless work and quality skills. Could have had a goal but scuffed it. Terrifies defenders when he runs at them. Really like him playing down the middle. Subs: Yakubu 8 - Put himself around and bagged 2 goals. Much better! Dyer N/A Tunchev 10 -
ScouseFox Posted 25 April 2011 Posted 25 April 2011 Weale 7 Naughton 6.5 - weird today, not himself getting forward and caught out for their first Vitor 8 Mee 8 PVA 7 Abe 7 - 7 on second half performance alone, wouldve been much lower had he been continued out wide Wellens 5 - poor, then injured King 7 Bruma 8.5 - good touch, strength, worked hard and hit two stunners. MOTM Gallagher 7 Vassell 7 Yakubu 8 - worked hard, scored twice. Love that. Tunchev - Dyer -
Bert Posted 25 April 2011 Posted 25 April 2011 Weale 6 - Beaten from long range again! Only joking. Other than the goals, very little to do. Naughton 6 - Not his best game, at fault for goal #1 but recovered well to put a respectable performance in. PVA 6 - Thought he did everything he needed to do with little fuss. Vior 8 - Top class again. Mee 7 - Got done for goal #2 but was otherwise solid. Bruma 8 - His best performance for us yet, 2 fantastic strikes. Wellens 5 - Garbage. Vastly improved when he went off. Abe 6 - See PVA. King 7 - Got more involved, found gaps and made the fourth goal with a great run. Vassell 7 - Works so hard for the team and I think a lot of his hard work goes unnoticed by many. Gally 7 - Quality from set-pieces yet again, always there for a great outlet. Yakky 8 - Made the difference when he came on. Dyer N/A Tunch 10 - GREAT to se him back.
acooling08 Posted 25 April 2011 Posted 25 April 2011 Weale - 7 - Did well. 2 goals would of beaten any keeper. Naughton - 6 - His worst performance for us and still a 6! Cock up gave them a goal. Vitor - 9 - This guy is God. Mee - Sign him Sven. PVA - Good going forward, not sure defensively. Bruma - 8 - Fackin wondergoals and solid on the ball. Abe - 5 - Barely touched the ball first half. Why won't he shoot? Oakley is better. Wellens - 6 - Decent then injured. Gally - 8 - Got stuck in, good crosses and corners. King - 5 - Still not regained his early season form. Vassell - 7 - Ran a lot. Final product lacking somewhat.
Thracian Posted 25 April 2011 Posted 25 April 2011 Weale 7 (Not at fault for the goals and made two important saves) Van Aanholt 7 (Competent enough for the most part) Mee 7 (At fault for the first leaing Vitor all alone to defend a difficult situation) Vitor 7.5 (Might have prevented the first goal by by far our best defender) Naughton 6 (Caught trying to dribble with the ball in the back third which cost us a goal) Bruma 8.5 (Two great goals, the second a real screamer but was also caught in possession to our cost). Abe 7 (Industrious and quite adventurous particularly second half). Wellens 3 (Poor all round and our recovery was dramatic once he went off and we started passing the ball faster and with more purpose) King 7.75 (Played a part in two of the goals and was involved in so much of our best work second half. Missed two good chances, one on his left foot which he curled wide and the other a driven shot that he might have turned into the net had it not been going so fast. Instrumental in passing the ball fast and accurately during our best spell and teed up one sitter which was wasted by Vassell or Yakubu, I forget which). Gallagher 7 (Well involved and quite accurate with his corners. Linked well with King when Wellens went off) Vassell 7 (Lively and laid the ball off well in general) Subs: Yakubu 9 (Scored one goal out of nothing with an inch perfect angled finish, kept cool for the second and worked quite hard as well) . Dyer - N/A Tunchev - N/A.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 25 April 2011 Posted 25 April 2011 Weale - 6 Van Aanholt - 7 Mee - 7 Vitor - 7 Naughton - 7 Bruma - 8 Abe - 7 Wellens - 6 King - 6 Gallagher - 6 Vassell - 7 Subs: Yakubu - 8
Trav Le Bleu Posted 25 April 2011 Posted 25 April 2011 Weale - 6.5- Didn't have much chance with the goals from my perspective, but didn't actually make any saves. Distribution still poor to fair. Van Aanholt - 5 - Didn't seem interested and did some interesting ballet dancing in the box for their second goal. Vitor - 9.5 - I was tempted to give my first ever 10, but I guess he was beaten for their first goal. A colossus! If he's the only loanee we keep I'll be happy. Mee - 8 - Solid at the back for the most part and nice distribution Naughton - 7.5 - his worst game for us that I've seen. Tired or one eye on future deals? Abe - 7- when out on the wings (though no one was using him despite finding tonnes of space!) 8.5 - when moved inside for Wellens. Great distribution and movement! Wellens - 6 - Sadly, his injury was probably the pivitol moment of the game. Wasn't showing much before. Bruma - 8 - Shakey start, caught on the ball too often and passes went astray, but improved and two fantastic strikes King - 7.5 - Upped his work rate and put in a decent, threatening display. His determination created the 4th goal. Gallagher - 8 - Like King he put in a shift and (for him) ran his socks off. Nearly scored from his free-kick. Vassell - 8 - His pace had Watford on the back foot for long periods and played some nice balls. SUBS: Yakubu - 9 - If the ref had been fairer he would have had a few freekicks (it seems that he constantly backs into defenders; it's never them climbing all over him!), maybe a penalty and a possible hat-trick. Yes he looks lazy, but he puts the ball where it should be, in the opponent's net! Dyer -N/A Tunchev 10 (No seriously though... 10! )
dannythefox Posted 25 April 2011 Posted 25 April 2011 Weale 7.3 Naughton 7.7 Mee 8 Vitor 8.2 PVA 7.5 Wellens 7.2 King 7.2 Bruma 8.5 Gally 8.2 Abe 7.2 Vassell 7.9 Thought the yak did alot better when he came on today aswell. 8
bigneville Posted 25 April 2011 Posted 25 April 2011 Weale - 7 - Did he actually make a save? Much quicker in possession today though. Still very nervous when it came to leaving his 6 yard box. Naughton - 6.5 - Lost a half point for being at fault for the 1st goal. Still looks a shadow of the player two months ago, but was fairly solid. Mee - 8 - We finally got to see Mee and Vitor partnership and we had a balanced and composed pairing. Good game. Worked very well with his partner. Vitor - 8 - As above. Van Aanholt - 7 - Caught out of position several times but offered a decent threat down the left hand side. Bruma - 7.5 - Two wonder strikes added an extra point to his rating. Much better in midfield than the back line but really needed to move the ball a lot quicker. Too often caught in possession Wellens - 7 - Was just getting going when took a knock. King - 6 - Better than the last few games but still really struggled to make an impact Abe - 7 - Played out of position to start but the return to centre half after the Wellens injury allowed him to relax into the game. Kept it simple and provided a solid screen in front of back line. Gallacher - 7.5 - Has improved greatly this season and this was another game where he looked to try and create and get involved. Set pieces were loads better today. Vassell - 7.5 - Added some energy to the front line through the middle but really stepped it up when out wide right. A constant threat. Deserved a goal Subs Yakubu - 7.5 - When he runs and makes leads he is a quality player. He did this more often today than the last three games and was rewarded today with two smart finishes. Dyer - 6 - Didn't have time to make an impact Tunchev - N/A - Great to see him back in a Leicester shirt
Alf Bentley Posted 25 April 2011 Posted 25 April 2011 Weale 7 Took responsibility well after the Forest gaffe Naughton 5.5 Mr. Consistent briefly loses consistency; cost 1 goal, nearly 2 Vitor 8 Top professional; would love to see him return Mee 8 Pretty much ditto - a little bit more to learn, but great positive attitude PVA 7.5 Final ball a bit wayward, otherwise good Bruma 8 Passing a bit clumsy, if decent, but 2 stunning strikes Wellens 6 Hit & miss, closed down a lot King 6.5 Involved, but still a bit tired or low on confidence - will rise again Abe 6.5 Returning to form Gallagher 7 Some decent passing / corners Vassell 7 Quiet 1st half, much better 2nd Yakubu 8 Great movement/teamplay, crowned by 2 classy finishes - enigma! Dyer N/A Tunchev 10 Moving to see him back - that's a lot of rehab - left with hope rather than confidence
Father Ted Posted 25 April 2011 Posted 25 April 2011 Weale 6 - Yet again beaten from long range and I would also like to have another look at their second goal. Did look shaky at times and had a bit of a lack of communication with Van Aanholt at one point but other than that sound. Naughton 6 - Got caught out for their first (although looked to me as if he might have been fouled). I also liked his no-nonsense approach when he just hoofed the ball into the stand when under pressure He really is a genuinely good character and throughout the season, i've picked up on these little things like his excitement on the radio after his first goal and on numerous times he used the f word as well as getting angry against Norwich when things weren't going our way. A genuine player who really is a footballer because he loves the game - not just the money. Mee 7.5 - Good performance again. Got stuck in. Won his headers. Same old. Sign him up. Vitor 7.5 - See above. If we can sign these two permanently, what a centre-back pairing we could have in the future! Van Aanholt 6 - Iffy performance. Had his good bits and had his bad bits. Crossing was decent but defensively really is suspect. Bruma 7 - General play was not great. Sometimes too slow on the ball and missed good passing opportunities. One good goal and another thanks to shit goalkeeping. Improved performance but still not good enough to don our shirt. Wellens 4 - Had a real off day today and we seemed a lot more balanced when he went off (although I think this was because we had more pace on the wing with Vassell, with Yuki moving in and the Yak dominating up top.) Yuki 7 - Did his job, thanks for coming. King 6 - How does anonymous sound? I watched him carefully for a couple of minutes and he really was labouring, he's completely puffed out, send him on holiday. Gallagher 7 - He made a tackle. His corners were a constant threat. Great free-kick saved. Decent. Vassell 7 - Got stuck in, chased and charged forwards with the ball in the 2nd half. On his day, he can terrorise defences. Yak 8 - Changed the game with his presence, was unlucky to not get the 'Stevie Howard' TM free-kicks. Two goals and now 9 in 17 looks much nicer although I would sign him, I still feel that we would need another striker to play with him or to be the main striker. Tunch 10 - welcome back son, L1 will miss you.

bigneville Posted 25 April 2011 Posted 25 April 2011 I'm a massive Wellens fan I must admit, so maybe I have some biased views on him. But rating his performance at 4's seems a little harsh? He wasn't near his best today but he was certainly trying to get the team going, he took a knock early doors and never really recovered from it.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 25 April 2011 Posted 25 April 2011 Weale - 6 (didn't have a lot to do today, to be fair) Van Aanholt - 7 Mee - 8 - briliant partnership in CB with Vitor Vitor - 8 - briliant partnership in CB with Mee Naughton - 6 - not his best games Bruma - 10 - 2 great goals and thats where he should play! Abe - 7 - decent game just should shoot more Wellens - 5 - didnt play that much due to injury King - 5 - didnt do much today Gallagher - 8 - he must of been knackered running to take the corners 3 times in a row Vassell - 8 - one of his best games since being at leicester i think Subs: Yakubu - 8 - we should put him on the bench often Dyer - N/A Tunchev - 10! - the best 10 seconds of football he has played in 18 months
kingfox Posted 25 April 2011 Posted 25 April 2011 Weale 6 - Could of sat down for most of the game, couldn't stop both goals Naughton 6 - Gave the ball away cheaply sometimes but fair enough game Vitor 8 - Solid as usual unsung hero Mee 8 - Magic Mee solid again has kept us in a few games this season same against Watford some immense blocks Van Aanholt 6 - Ok nothing more to say defensive wise was a bit shabby but better than past times Bruma 8 - Played into trouble a few times but world class strikes and very good passing King 6 - Where are you Kingy yet again hardly in the game Wellens 5 - Same as King but he was injured though Abe 7 - Very solid performance tried tirelessly and wanted to score but of course he didn't Vassell 7 - Very decent performance shame he can't score works hard all game Gallagher 7 - Not the best but was good nothing more to say most improved this season though by far Yakubu 8 - Two goals off the bench must be kidding, he actually ran so he gets a firm 8 Dyer 5 - Not on long enough Tunchev 100 - Best player on the pitch by far

ithuriel Posted 25 April 2011 Posted 25 April 2011 Saying Weale had nothing to do was funny, made a few saves and even dived in on the edge of his penalty area at which their forwards made a feeble attempt at saying he handled the ball outside the box, did nearly drop it mind when mee was in his way whilst trying to gather in the box. Brumma played quite well in the midfield role he had and was dangerous with long range shots.
okie fox Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 Weale -6- Not tested much Naughton -6- Lost ball for first goal, mis-kick almost gave them another, much better second half Vitor -9- Superb positioning and covering Mee -8- Defensively very good PVA -7- Played more responsibly than usual Abe -6- Lost on the wing, better in centre mid. Bruma -8- Two rocket goals from centre field, could be good in midfield if he learns to pass quicker and reverse direction of play Wellens -6- Injured. Team played better after he limped off, but this is due to change in system (2 forwards, Abe not on wing) King -6- Ran a lot as usual, still needs more bite in his game Gallagher -7- Good Vassell -6- Not good as lone striker SUBS: Yak -8- Much better, made a big difference when he came on Dyer -6- Not on for long Tunch -6- Cameo 2 minute appearance. Couldn't tell how fit he is. Watford: Very average side, the sub Sordell was their best player Sven: Strange starting eleven, but got tactics sorted at half time!
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 Weale - 6 Naughton - 6 Vitor - 7 Mee - 7 PVA - 6 Abe - 7 Wellens - 6 King - 6 Bruma - 8 Gally - 7 Vassell - 7 Subs Yakubu - 8 Dyer - 6 Tunchev - 200 Billion in short a pathetic awful first half by the whole side but quite the opposite 2nd half and some cracking goals
