New goalie - Myhill (or possibly Carson) ?

I have heard from colleagues in Birmingham, that Stowell has been making a few trips recently to the Hawthorns. He has been to 2 Albion reserve games and 2 first team matches. The talk is, he was intially looking at Boaz Myhill - who has failed to make much of an impression at West Brom since his move from Hull - but more recently has been looking at Scott Carson, who (apparently), Roy Hodgson doesn't rate and might send on his way in the summer.

I'd be happy with either of these. Myhill was rated very highly at Hull and Carson had a good reputation - until the Albion defence became a bit dodgy.

If they are not good enough for WBA then they are not good enough for us.

I think Carson played for England Under 21's when Sven was the Boss. We know he likes International players (and he's got 3 full caps) - there might be 'some mileage' in this story. I think I'd be happier with Myhill though - I saw him keep the Spurs attack out (amost single-handedly) when Hull visited White Hart Lane last year - and his performances in the early part of that season, were one of the reasons Hull were not far from staying up.

Myhill's decent, he never blew me away playing for Hull really, that City team played beyond the sum of their parts, but he'd be solid.

I've heard about Myhill from my mate who's a WBA fan, he's not happy sitting on the bench. Could be some substance behind it.

I wouldn't be surprised if Hull went back in for Myhill actually, he was loved there and they need a keeper too.

Teams in our position can't expect to sign world class players. Carson would be a decent signing.

I can't stress enough, Carson is crap. Even for us, even at this level. Not much between him and Weale.

Sorensen, Myhill, Westwood, Kuszack - all miles better.

Please excuse my skeptisism for this but this post has come on the exact same day it is revealed in the bbc gossip section that Hodgson is looking at replacements for boaz and carson...

Myhill - I rate him, although he does let in goals from inside the other half (remember Joey Gudjonsson) ?? I actually like Lonergan from Preston tbf.

That was what i was thinking, with them being relegated could possibly get him

I'd rather have Thomas Sorenson.

Carson would cost a lot and i'm not convinced he'll be leaving west brom. I think he's the club captain as well.

I can confirm from my contacts within WBA that Scott Carson is unhappy there, and is looking to move in the summer.

However, he is looking for another Premiership club, so therefore won't be joining Leicester.
