Callabinho Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 Matt Derbyshire would easily get between 12 and 20 goals at this level.
Hack Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 If he does happen to sign for us he will be a more than solid acquistion for the club and be at least a 10-15 goals scorer. Lets not underestimate the connection he has with a number of our players especially Gallagher. Sven has brought in a number of players who have played together in the recent past which will help intergration and team spirit. A number of ex Man City player, a couple ex Fulham players and if Matt joins a couple of ex Blackburn players.
Marmite Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 Personally I think its abit of a panic buy, there are alot better players we could go for, ok there is no transfer fee involved but I would prefer Miller
Happy Fox Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 As a second striker he would be a good player would link up well with Nugent, but we should sign the Jong as well then I will be content, then get a winger then we are sorted
mancunianfox Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 Yet everyone raves over Shane Long, before last year he scored 23 in 131 games now he's 'worth' 7 mil?? He's had 50 games in the prem and got 5!! Derbyshire would be a quality player here, no doubts about that. This a million times.
frany104 Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 Would be a top signing imo. The lad is hungry to kickstart his career and knows how to finish. Is he a free agent?
patallsop16 Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 sorry if this has already been posted.........and also my map skills are terrible but would matt derbyshire be on this road if he was driving to leicester?? mattderbyshire2 Matthew Derbyshire Morning tweeps , just driving on m6 sorry if its a waste of time guys!!
Ric Flair Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 sorry if this has already been posted.........and also my map skills are terrible but would matt derbyshire be on this road if he was driving to leicester?? mattderbyshire2 Matthew Derbyshire Morning tweeps , just driving on m6 sorry if its a waste of time guys!! It depends where he's flew in to.
dpjfox Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 yes he would be on the M6 if he was traveling south from the North West
Stevosevic Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 It depends where he's flew in to. Not sure where he flew into, but he does live in the Greater Manchester area.
Marmite Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 Might be going back to Birmingham, they are only allowed to sign players on frees at the moment
The Padster Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 sorry if this has already been posted.........and also my map skills are terrible but would matt derbyshire be on this road if he was driving to leicester?? mattderbyshire2 Matthew Derbyshire Morning tweeps , just driving on m6 sorry if its a waste of time guys!! Potentially, if he's coming from oop north (west) then the M6 straight down to Brum and the M69 to Leicester would be my way to go.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 sorry if this has already been posted.........and also my map skills are terrible but would matt derbyshire be on this road if he was driving to leicester?? mattderbyshire2 Matthew Derbyshire Morning tweeps , just driving on m6 sorry if its a waste of time guys!! That could mean pretty much anywhere!
patallsop16 Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 That could mean pretty much anywhere! yeah, i just thought i would post it. sorry guys!
MikeyT Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 Potentially, if he's coming from oop north (west) then the M6 straight down to Brum and the M69 to Leicester would be my way to go. Then the M1 onto the A46 to Notts.
Happy Fox Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 I am little underwhelmed by this signing we would still need another striker on top of Derbyshire if we sign him maybe he is a replacement for Waghorn
RowlattsFox Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 My problem with this signing, if it happens, is that the formation we play requires the striker to play on his own for large parts. Derbyshire doesn't look like someone who could lead the line.
Jimbo Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 Potentially, if he's coming from oop north (west) then the M6 straight down to Brum and the M69 to Leicester would be my way to go. I'd prefer M6-A50-M1 myself
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 yeah, i just thought i would post it. sorry guys! I wasn't having a dig mate, just saying that could mean he could be going opposite ends of the country. He was linked with Blackpool over the weekend and could just as easily be using the M6 to get up there as to come down here
Ric Flair Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 My mate is a football agent, it's between us and Forest. Forest seem more eager to get him though from what I gather, we've had this on the back burner all summer and I wonder if Matt has got a bit pissed off with us?

Quite possibly he will be hacked off with us. But then again, i think he knows that if he signs for us he will play alot of games, Gallagher may have had a word in his ear as well.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 think we need other options sooner rather than later, so he (Derbyshire) would be a good signing
