Jon the Hat Posted 22 July 2011 Posted 22 July 2011 Brighton will get him then This line is getting a little tiresome now. Brighton got CMS because we decided not to. If we decide not to sign Derbyshire they can have him too.

Glad im not the only one sick of it then. Id like to see Derbyshire here. Surely worth a punt, on the cheap aswell
Darkon84 Posted 22 July 2011 Posted 22 July 2011 Bet he ends up at Brighton I'll let you off, because youre on the wind up and not actually trying to be funny
Ric Flair Posted 22 July 2011 Posted 22 July 2011 I think he'll end up here. Heskey, Nugent, Derbyshire. Maynard can bollocks
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 22 July 2011 Posted 22 July 2011 I think he should go Derby... 'Tumble weed' As long as we don't sign Jack Lester
Wherethefoxhat? Posted 22 July 2011 Posted 22 July 2011 Glad im not the only one sick of it then. Id like to see Derbyshire here. Surely worth a punt, on the cheap aswell Not prolific enough ???
Darkon84 Posted 22 July 2011 Posted 22 July 2011 Not prolific enough ??? For the minimal price you would pay, he would be a decent player to have, and im sure given the chance, he would score at this level. The reason Derbyshires stats dont look so good is because so many of them were made as a substitute, whereas (if comparing) Maynards strike rate looks alot better as he has always been the main striker and rarely starts as sub. If you take this in to account by assuming su appearances are 45mins, their rates arent too dissimilar. Alot of assumptions i know, but i think Derbyshire would be a decent acquisition, but thats just my opinion

I think one of them will be a midfield player ......and a PROLIFIC goalscorer with genuine pace . I personally believe Derbyshire to be too similar to Nugent .....and of course .....although he'd be minimal price ....it's another player on the wage bill, and he's been used to Premiership wages and would have been on a decent screw at Olympiacos !! We shall see ....
Itsthejoeker Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 Dragging this one up... Fourth_Official Fourth Official Another striking option Leicester have kept open is Matt Derbyshire, Long is still currently Sven's priority however for 20+ goals #LCFC He's also in England today
mancunianfox Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 I have a feeling that he would be a shrew signing for a team in our division. His goal scoring record at a lower level (Greece & League Cup) is good and he did score a few goals for Blackburn in the PL as well. His time at Birmingham was a bit of a nightmare but I don’t think that is a great indicator of how he would find the Championship. Imo he would be less of a risk than Miller for example and also has an uncanny ability to score last minute winners.

Bob Weasel Fox Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 if we sign Derbyshire, and then F****t re-sign Lester, Derby would presumably sign someone called Shit?

One Arm Babba Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 if we sign Derbyshire, and then F****t re-sign Lester, Derby would presumably sign someone called Shit? That is brilliant.
funkyrobot Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 With only a 23 month lifespan and a voracious sexual appetite, I'm not sure a shrew would be such a good signing, tho I do agree that the signing of said shrew would solve our 20+ goals a season problem. Before anyone suggests getting mice, they are a waste of time with only an 8+ goal return.
elbucko Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 Is fourth official playing his usual cryptic clues game? Has Derbyshire signed for us or is he off to Shrewsbury ???
VampLCFC Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 Matt Derbyshire has clearly signed for someone.... Fourth_Official.... Good luck at a new club Matt Matt Derbyshire...... Cheers
irDeano Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 That looks like it needs taming Tame the Shrew and he will score
