Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 Not so sure about Shmeichel, Leeds did let a lot in last season although that could be blamed on the defence. Heard mixed things about him, but think he is as good as what we could realistically get.
Marmite Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 Be good to watch there interviews on the local news tonight

iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 Cracking days work Sven! This will be a steal I reckon.
Walshy5 Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 From what ive seen of him i think he,s quality! My only concern is there must be a reason why leeds were so keen to get rid
Jon the Hat Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 From what ive seen of him i think he,s quality! My only concern is there must be a reason why leeds were so keen to get rid He only had a year left on his contract and we offered them a million quid. Obviously they think they can spend that better elsewhere.
Alexikokopops Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 Erm...I clicked it on walking and it suggests walking straight through the middle of the ocean It also only thinks it'll take 3 1/2 days walking It also says "this route includes a ferry". And that's 3 and a half days constantly walking. As in 84 hours.
sdb Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 Jury out for me, both regarding his all-round ability and genuine desire to play for this club (a 3 year deal means FA if we were his only option). (Cue a barrel of abuse.) That said, i'm quietly confident about him. Hope we keep Weale, a very decent no.2 and hopefully he can slowly get back to his old self.
Staff Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 hope thats the end of weale and every shot from outside the box resulting in a goal!where are all the leeds fans now?
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 An experienced defender is going to be crucial next season. Schmeichel is a stunning shot stopper but he's still not the finished article when it comes to organising his defence and that's why we need a warrior at the back who can lead by example. Bougherra would be a dream but not sure that's likely. Bougherra would be great, but I really do think if we get St Ledger - he'd become a legend here !!
TheUltimateWinner Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 Well done sven for pulling this off! Great signing, Schmeichel is easily the best GK in the championship. And he has bags of PASSHHUUUN Can anyone upload Schmeichel's interview with foxes player?
Brown Fox Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 Jury out for me, both regarding his all-round ability and genuine desire to play for this club (a 3 year deal means FA if we were his only option). I think the whole public statement thing was a hacker on his twitter so wasn't him. And I can't see who else we could have got better than him, for that price anyway.
Legend_in_blue Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 Bargin of the Season Last Year For Us! Bargin of the Season This Year for Leicester! i was hoping for at least 2/3 million...........sky sports news says in the region of 1 million. absolute disgrace. im livid about this. simon grayson said it was the best deal for the club because kasper didnt want to sign an extension and he only has one season left............so does max gradel so are we gonna jump at the first bid for him aswell? This is getting more & more worrying, you can say what you want about Kasper but he was still a top keeper & one for the future. I suspect we are not going to compete on a level playing field this season with the likes of Cardiff, WHU & Leicester throwing money around & paying extortionate wages. SG worked wonders last season with his meagre transfer budget & we just have to hope he can do the same this season. I thought we would finish mid table but I can honestly see us struggling to stay up if we continue to strip our squad of our better players. Still if we do go down we will have the best corporate facilities in League 1. Honestly can't believe this move. We sell a young keeper who was the best keeper we've had for years and had his best years ahead of him, had just been called up for his national side....and to a team who are going to be competing with us to go up this season...and for seemingly a ridiculously low fee. What is going on? Good day for Leicester with Danns for free and a cut price Schmeichel, while Leeds are left behind in the starting blocks yet again. I'm trying my best to reserve judgement until August, but it is really hard to believe now 4 days before preseason begins that we are going to have a squad that is going to be competitive with the top clubs in the league. just one lie after another with this club trying to make the players look bad , they best sign gradel to decent contract and snoddy as both of them only have a year left. You have to laugh. Played Sven! :sge:
Clarkielcfc Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 great interviews from kasper, spoken very very well! great signing
lcfcsnow Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 I won't critise Stringer again after hearing the guy doing the interview on Radio Leicester now.

I wouldn't read much, if anything, into the Twitter saga. Any disappointment he had from being told he could leave Leeds (he had probably settled well having lived in the area for many years) will quickly have been erased by the wage rise, reunion with Sven and the prospect of an ambitious promotion attempt
