Oh definitely, he impressed me. I thought he was a sitting duck and finished. I can't help thinking a couple of years younger and Vlad would've gone in for the kill though.

I think Vlad was as tired, he just didn't show it as much.

Mean AJ looked visibly punch drunk in the 5th before the knock down... but I wonder if part of that was the emotion of it all suddenly washing over him from flooring Klitschko the first time?

Vlad was tired but I think AJ was wide open and if Vlad was a few years younger AJ wouldn't have got to his second wind.

But AJ possibly earned that from flooring Vlad initially... and had great instinct just to somehow stick in there... he was also very clever to take an easier 7th round as he started coming back to himself.

If you take that as a base from which AJ can continue to learn from, presuming he maintains discipline he's got some promising months ahead you'd think.

Listen he is the champ

respect to the guy

I quite like him

this was a great step forward

to be honest I had my doubts

he silenced some of those doubts

some

but he is a classy guy and he deserves everything coming his way

well done to AJ

He will definitely have learned a lot tonight. The finish was phenomenal and there will be plenty of opponents that will fear that.

2 judges had Joshua winning comfortably...fvck off!!

On cards he was winning for me, Frochs cards are terrible sometimes, I don't know how many rounds you mean by comfortable though.

Too busy counting my winnings mate.

Had Wlad 2 up personally, not that it mattered. AJ got off the floor and showed the heart of a champion and a pretty good chin. He's a real humble and classy guy, unlike a lot of boxers, and this is only the start. He'll get better with experience.

Everyone looking and focusing on the knock out

but for 4 or 5 rounds Joshua was BEAT ! He finished the old man off well !

But huge questions can't be ignored

and right now there is only one heavy weight king

the performance of Tyson Fury in German now ranks as one of the great all time away performances by any boxer from these islands

AJ calling out fury now is very funny ... he wants a summer fight while fury is a Fat mess

Fury will wait till next summer and get his Wembley sell out

and if he is 100% and focused he beats AJ all day long ... but I fear we have seen the last of Fury

well done AJ took guts , he was wiped out in that fight twice ! Took guts to come back and finish it

but fury wouldn't have let him off the hook once  never mind twice

so given that I can't see Fury making it back to a ring what next for AJ

he will I'll take a simple defence end of year while The Bronze Bomber and the Scouse Bomber have a massive show down

with the winner taking on AJ

AJ beats either of them to be honest

then AJ beats Parker late 2018

and holds all the belts !

The division is already starting to look weak again !

Hold your opinion in high regard but have to say I disagree.

Not to take anything away from fury but that was a different wlad we saw tonight, fury got under his skin and they knew what they were doing, Pete furys comments for this fight just reinforced that for me, "if you want too beat a man who probably irons his own bed sheets you bring utter chaos to his world" and that's what fury did, in build up, in the  internal negotiations and in the ring.

AJ played no games, he boxed.

Tonight I saw a man who has twice as fit and twice as focused as I've seen than his previous fight and he's been knocked out. Like the 18 men before him.

The Klitchkos were not renowned, in any of their fights of ever going in for the kill. Both were just  better than the also rans.

Klitchko bros, were honest profi boxers, who had very  few decent opponents. But deserve credit for keeping the HW division

Ticking over. Obviously we had Lennox Lewis, who did excellently to fly our flag.

AJ has with this win, now finished Off the Klitchko era.Though it had ran its course in reality a few years back.

AJ, has now taken on a the HW mantel, hes young so mistakes were made tonight, but for the sake of this

division he had to win. Now lets see if AJ can create his own era, and how long will it last.

Fair dues to both of the fighters tonight, one of the best HW fights for quite a few years.

Wow. That was more incredible than I could have expected. Round 5 was just special. Thought he was dead and buried 5,6 and 7 but stuck at it and came back, fair play!

some flaws found and others will go for them now, but that's a hell of an obstacle to overcome, what a performance from Wlad!

A mate of mine who's young, free, single, no kids, and with far too much disposable income has paid £500 for a ticket tonight. On the pitch apparently, but nowhere near ringside.

I'm sure the atmosphere will be great but I just think that's fvckin nuts personally!

I really want to go to a big fight one day, probably now is the right time as I have disposable income (Although my mates don't...one of the reasons why i've not done it) but i'd get the cheapest ticket possible (even with disposable income) because imo ringside, you'd see **** all, in the stands, you'd see **** all, in the gods, you'd see **** all, if you go to a fight you are purely going for the atmosphere imo, which is what I want to do, don't get me wrong but if you want to see the fight the best place is on TV I think.

Don't know if anyone who's been to a big fight can agree or disagree with that, that's just how I imagine and see it.

Anyway, great fight, really good fight! Amazing.

Thought AJ was ****ed, not through taking punches, he actually took some decent punches, questions answered? He simply just punched himself out in round 5, he really did look gassed for the rest of the fight, I thought the only outcome from there was Klitschko on points, but he came through and won, well.

That's a fair comment

but AJ also was in a world of trouble last night against a man whose career mentally and physically was ended by fury in 2015 lol

 But Fury is gone

it's AJ's time and I hope he can keep on improving

he is a nice guy and it's good for boxing to have him

AJ will just dominate from now on

Agree and with his heart and courage he is going to dominate

there is only two fights for AJ

wilder who he beats easy

and

fury who is probably finished !

So easy enough to dominate
