Trav Le Bleu Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 I thought that was a booking? Especially if he stopped forest players getting the ball. Not that I know. The ball goes back to the centre circle after a goal - doesn't matter who puts it there.
sphericalfox Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 Nooooo, Dr Weale. See? Glad I didn't respond on my first initial reading of the post. Ha! Bit touchy after all that drama.
blueredswed Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 I will only say to your Nottingham supporters, Well done to the refree hope you will get him every home......playing.....and you will win every if not 0-0 but with goods hand as Maradona say and the refree you must go up
HEGGSY Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 not sure we can play much worse than we have done today/this season,. buts somehow its our best start in years and we are in the top half of the league, its a funny old game. just hope the team settles down and plays some decent football, because at the minute its a bit painful to watch feel for you fellas.. the pain of football can be horrible. Differences between mikehuntington and nffc_Galidia One embraces the fact that we were better and that forest were a tad lucky and the other one...well
katieakita Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 All, Hope he teaches better than he refs, For whatever reason Weale has lost it but reckon even without him flapping Moss would still have us playing until they equalized.
Petchy Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 Ref stole the spotlight at, what was otherwise, a very good game. We played brilliantly first half, then the second half was the downfall and not by our own doing. The ref was looking to give a major decision and did just that when Mills 'handled' the ball, despite the fact he was already on the ground. Then, Kasper threw the ball up to the half way line for the restart. It wasn't out of frustration, it wasn't his usual kick into the stands, it was simply an eagerness to get the game going again. Robbed.
Guest Col city fan Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 how the fucc did that c.unt get a PHD? No idea he did... Hehe

gazfox9 Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 hope you enjoyed the first half. surely we will appeal the ban. sounded like a shambles. You can't appeal 2 yellow cards
purpleronnie Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 Not that I know. The ball goes back to the centre circle after a goal - doesn't matter who puts it there. Dunno, I thought if you stopped the opposition getting the ball after a goal it can be a bookable offence (maybe I dreamt it ), plus surely he threw it out of frustration just like someone kicking the ball away, the fact it went towards the centre circle surely is irrelevant, we all know he wasnt helping forest . But I'm sure more people on here are aware of the rules.
cc_star Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 This season has been utterly horrible up to now....do referees now feel they have to help out opposing teams due to the money the owners have spent? Nottingham Forest are a very poor side and before the embarrassing penalty and investigation worthy red-card we were cruising to a win. There's many positives we can take from this game despite it feeling like a loss. Though my fear is that despite these positives...we play run-away Southampton next in the league who have shown themselves to have the ability to play unsure and nervous teams off the park. They have the potential to blow any confidence we've got from this game away completely. Or they could hit the buffers and we turn them over of course. A big question for me is also Bury in the Carling Cup midweek. Does Sven play the same side that played today in order to get a win under out belts to gain some belief for the game at the weekend? Or does he rest a few and risk being beaten in another demoralising defeat? Whatever happens, unbelievably, i think next weekend's game will be a keystone for our campaign. If we lose that, all the good work done in today's performance (well 60mins of it) will be wasted, we need to keep the momentum on IMO
shade Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 No idea he did... Hehe haha, I was referencing the bit in the post were he called him Dr. Liability.

topharry123 Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 You kidding? He's talking about Forest not us.
Rincewind Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 Pizza if they won. Cheese on toast for a loss. I have a dilemma. Don't think its right to say we were cheated, the ref was bribed etc. But there does need to be consistancy. The only person ythat isnt interviewed after the game is the ref. The managers are not allowed to say too much. Maybe after a game the manager should be able to fill a form in. Maybe a Q/A type which is handed into the football league then the ref/officials could respond. And a panel could decide on his peformance. Maybe rating out of 10 which could go towards future games. Low scores means low league higher means high profile games. I know some managers would always blame the ref but the panel would review any relevant footage.
superfox1980 Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 Absolutely gutted !! But...........1st half display is defo encouraging, we were fantastic. Sven picked a team and system that seemed to work well. 2nd half, forest couldn't get any worse than in the 1st half so it was inevitable they would get into the game at some point. It all seemed to go wrong when Nugent went off. We were really lightweight up front from then on and there was no out ball. Shocking pen decision by the nob in black. All in all.........encouraged by a great first half display, let's move on and upwards by bringing Southampton down a peg or two. Up the blues !!

Terriblle refree
tickler28 Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 Innocent individuals? Ricardo was absolutely hammered for some of the shit Weale has done and no one seemed to give a shit about that, Weale is a liabilty and should be sold as soon as. Fair enough. But you're blaming him for what happened today????!?!! how can you possibly be serious. My point is what decent goalkeepers are going to want to sit on the bench all season unless the goalie is sent off or injured? Especially in the championship. Name some????
gazfox9 Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 Well all i can say about that game is.............. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAAHAHAHAAHA. Thanks for the point. Congratulations w@nker. On that evidence your in for a long season.

But I'm sure more people on here are aware of the rules. I didn't notice Forest players going for the ball. Kasper was lightning quick to pluck the ball out of the net. But other than that, you're absolutely right and people have been saying it already: His frustration after conceding goals serves no-one in the team. If we lose that, all the good work done in today's performance (well 60mins of it) will be wasted, we need to keep the momentum on IMO There were plenty of positives to take from the game. Mills was much improved and Pantsil looked quite solid too. Vassell, Danns, Nugent all did a good job, Fernandes won us the game point and Wellens was OK if not great. The only players in danger of being replaced IMO are Konchesky (not realistic) and King. If Michael Johnson is close to match fitness I wouldn't be surprised to see him start the next game.
