The formation seemed better ( although bringing on weedy gally for nugent did have an impact unfortunately) We scored goals and were controlling things till the penalty decision.. Much better Sven and the boys and we can take that forward to the next game... Yep. It's getting better. Looked like a team. Huge MASSIVE dose of bad luck. Even with subbing Nugent etc, we were still better than we've been. Wouldn't change the team other than putting my nan (who's dead) in goal ahead of Weale.

BlueSi13 Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 This season has been utterly horrible up to now....do referees now feel they have to help out opposing teams due to the money the owners have spent? Nottingham Forest are a very poor side and before the embarrassing penalty and investigation worthy red-card we were cruising to a win. There's many positives we can take from this game despite it feeling like a loss. Though my fear is that despite these positives...we play run-away Southampton next in the league who have shown themselves to have the ability to play unsure and nervous teams off the park. They have the potential to blow any confidence we've got from this game away completely. Or they could hit the buffers and we turn them over of course. A big question for me is also Bury in the Carling Cup midweek. Does Sven play the same side that played today in order to get a win under out belts to gain some belief for the game at the weekend? Or does he rest a few and risk being beaten in another demoralising defeat? Whatever happens, unbelievably, i think next weekend's game will be a keystone for our campaign.

Crap refs are unfortunately common in this league, but the performance by Jonathan Moss today must take the prize as one of worst ref performances, I have ever witnessed. Cheap penalty, to the extreme harsh red card and then the frickin massive freekick committed by Boateng, when he completely overruns one of our players from behind when they equalize. Also Findley did not get a yellow, when he took a shot long after the whistle was gone for an offside decision. So unreal. That said, they had already gone close a few times with classic championship hoof up to Miller and we keep hoofing it away straight back to their defense. When we switched to 'All defend' mode, we really need a physical presence upfront to hold the ball, as with Gallagher and Vassell, we just gave it right back to them. If we do not learn to defend classic championship hoof, we will never get out of this league. Fernandes is an absolute beast and Danns and Nugent looking good too. But man, why can't our fullbacks cross a frickin football? Konchesky is a liabilty, who needs to get his confidence back soon, because right now, he looks like the weakest link in our team. I'm still fuming.....

Im sorry but going in at half time 2-0 up against a sh!te forest side and then drawing is a joke we should of controlled the second half and our players need to be a bit more professional that should of been our win and we through it away pee'd off if we do that every game then we wont even get in the play offs, we need to control and finish off, forest were just the same in the 2nd as in the 1st forest fans think they have won though !!! which is fair enough considering we should have controlled that game and we gave them the draw in the end bad subsitutions... whens he going to learn ? its only a matter of time before "chill theres x amount of games left" becomes too much of an excuse

shade Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 Schemichel made two fantastic saves during that game and was playing very well. His passion to throw the ball after the indignation of a VERY suspect peno was understandable. He probably shouldn't have got the first yellow card, and should have kept himself to himself, but it was a contentious decision to award them the peno. Throwing the ball out, as far as i could see, it almost skinned the top of a Forrest player's head. It was thrown with some venom. They complained and then he was off. I don't lookk forward to seeing the League show tonight, as it'll just infuriate me, with Claridges nonsense. Hopefully he's got a cold and can't make it into the studio. Forrest were always going to put us under pressure in the second half and then did. Nugent came off as injured, so I believe. Gallagher wasn't going to be the threat on goal that he was. Maybe Schlupp running at tired legs might have been better, but Sven was subbing tactically with experience in mind and just controlling the game a bit. I knew that before the game we would look to improve on our performances, and the doubters will no doubt find faults, but I was impressed by the team and know that we can improve further. The season will get better, especially based on the first half. We'll just have to hope that Schemichel will not get injured or suspended for the rest of the season, as Weale is Dr. Liability! how the fucc did that c.unt get a PHD?

Ricardo was absolutely hammered for some of the shit Weale has done and no one seemed to give a shit about that, Weale is a liabilty and should be sold as soon as.

nffc_Galidia Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 not sure we can play much worse than we have done today/this season,. buts somehow its our best start in years and we are in the top half of the league, its a funny old game. just hope the team settles down and plays some decent football, because at the minute its a bit painful to watch feel for you fellas.. the pain of football can be horrible.
