Best Story In A Game.

Final Fantasy 7 or the Mass Effect series. Epic plotlines, with impossible amounts at stake and twists/revelations around every corner. Next question.

(Oh, and FF6, 8, 9 or 10 could have an honourable mention here too)

GTA:VC maily because it copies from many a gangster film from the 80's.

Any 3D Zelda game... they must be good as the missus like to watch me play them!

MGS series hands down for me.

I like Metal Gear but the stupid com screen ruins it for me. Thats bad presentation for carrying a story forward, I always get bored of Otacons ramblings and end up skipping through. A game with a good story should keep you glued to the cutscenes.

Not a long way at all.

FF8.

I'm aware it's not an overly popular choice but I actually loved it, for some reason. I don't know why but it appealed to me far more than 7 when I was younger.

I think the Baldurs Gate series has a fantastic story too, to be fair.

I've just started playing Baldurs Gate using the Baldurs Gate 2 engine and widescreen mods. It's very good.

GTA Vice City & Metal Gear Solid series for me, Black and White was good intregiuing as well.

few old classics on ps1 like lunar, kingdom hearts... the games are all shite now days their more bothered about the graphics than the actual game play and story lines.

Can't believe nobodies mentioned any of the Elder Scrolls games yet.

Think FF7 is my choice though, never been more into a game when i was playing it

Morrowind

I also enjoyed the story line of Pirates of the Caribbean, if you don't know it it wasn't at all about the films (save one or two encounters with the Black Pearl). Shame it was the glitchiest game ever developed.
