Fox92 Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Stringer: "Mahrez to Knockaert" Youngy: "Like Paris to Marseille"
ScouseFox Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 two crackers in a minute from youngy there "yanno ian, seriously, we seriously, are seriously good" Stringer: "What about Jamie Vardy, Alan?" Youngy: "He has got to be in contention for the happiest man in the world at the moment"
Trav Le Bleu Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Alan Young: "You like the guy who's in the shower."
pazzerfox Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Youngy said in the 80th or so minute that "James had made a great run to the back post". However James was off the field by this point!!haha, classic Young
tcrofts Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 Not necessarily for this topic, but didn't want to start a new one. Stringer getting passionate in the fa vase quarter final today https://chirb.it/wp/IrcrrG
ozleicester Posted 22 March 2014 Posted 22 March 2014 "Apologise all you like... youll be getting one on the halfway line pal" - Youngy after Rhodes hit Wes' eye by accident
Rincewind Posted 22 March 2014 Posted 22 March 2014 Young 'A competition to see who can hit the post'
JonnyBoy Posted 22 March 2014 Posted 22 March 2014 Stringer "score from the valley it's Charlton 2-1 burnley...oh sorry folks I mean burnley 2-0 up!"
Basingstoke Fox Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 Earlier when Knockeart was apparently on the ground, Alan said "Did he Schlupp?"
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 Watched a stream & listened to the two of them yesterday, their diabolical commentary on what's actually happening is very apparent. I won't be paying for this 'service' next year.
blueharmie Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 Listen to BBC radio Derby or cov then post again on here. Or shall we have Jason Bourne back?

I won't be paying for this 'service' next year. Ive eased up on my complaints about them this year as they seemed to have improved, but, I did the same as you and watched the stream and listened to the commentary on Sat, only then do you realise just how much you miss out on. Credit to both of them for their passion and enthusiasm, but they do not commentate the game. I listened to a bit of the Blackburn commentary (i was trying to get the stream and the commentary to sync, best i could do was the stream about 5 seconds ahead of the commentary*) and was impressed with his descriptions. *this is another moan.. im paying for a live stream from foxes player and it seems to be reguarly as much as 20 seconds behind the play.. if you watch the match thread.. the goals are commented on well before you hear them.

I'm with you on this, I've tried not to moan about them. I actually really enjoy their passion for the club too, and I guess that's what's kept me listening, but it's a poor service in terms of match commentary. I don't mind it being slightly late, but it does mean you can't watch Geoff on sky unless you watch that slightly behind too!
3stevo Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 Please tell me someone else heard this - During the Blackburn commentary at at the weekend 'Youngy' described the runs Nugent was making as 'doggy style'
Trumpet Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 Please tell me someone else heard this - During the Blackburn commentary at at the weekend 'Youngy' described the runs Nugent was making as 'doggy style' Hahahaha I remember this.

StanSP Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Stringer: Few celebrations after the weekend and it's just a bit 'bleurgh'. Brilliant.
MC Prussian Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Stringer: "Footballers are also humans, you know?"
StanSP Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Young: 'usually it's ratatatatat. Today it's not even got to 'ratat'.
