RumbleFox Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 Did you watch the Fooball Leafue Show last night? "Leicester faced a wave of attacks from Brighton but the defence held tight" (or something like that). I hate to moan but do these people actually go to the games? We were never even in trouble. We comfortably beat the "best team in the league". Anyway, I need to eat my bacon sandwich so I'll go away now just really annoyed. Rumble X

Rumble X yep stayed up for it last night (even though on dodgy shifts at mo) and once again its like we are the poor relations in the media's eyes, fook em just fook em
Jay Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 I saw that and thought the same. Clearly they weren't actually at the game becuase we were very comfortable in victory
somebum Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 I agree naff reporting but exactly who called Brighton "the best team in the league"? Was it not "the league's in form team"?
vegas Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 like the guy on Final Score who said "Leicester's goal was scored by Japanese new boy Yuki Abe" - get your facts straight. Rant over.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 The unfortunate reality of having to cover the entire Football League is needing to be everywhere at once, as well as being at the day's Premier League games. So the commentary is pieced together from the footage they're provided. That being said, the stats (Leicester 11 SOT, Brighton 5) hardly point towards Brighton being dominant at any stage, so maybe more factors need to be looked at when guessing at the narrative of the match. Still better than the 8 seconds ITV used to give us though.
cc_star Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 I thought this Missed the game, even the commentary so FT was my only insight It was if that clip was prepared for Sussex TV Hopefully we're leaders b4 too long then we'll get the bias of coverage, although I suppose it will be "big spenders leicester..." then
shiv Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 I really hate having the label "big spending Leicester"
thybluefox Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 I really hate having the label "big spending Leicester" That's exactly what Manish called us on the intro to the highlights. Useless program.
Mack Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 To be fair CMS missed an absolute sitter from 3 yards.
leicesterseddon Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 I really hate having the label "big spending Leicester" At least it's not 'Sven's Leicester'...
Dan Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 Totally pathetic coverage. They are so, so biased. Make it sound like Brighton killed us, 22 shots to their 7. I bet the ref was spot on with Peltier's disallowed goal too eh cvnts.
gazfox9 Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 To be fair CMS missed an absolute sitter from 3 yards. TBF he did just that, but it was the only decent chance they had all afternoon.
Corky Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 They did dominate. For the first few minutes.
bluebeau Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 TBF Brighton were all over us, we were very lucky to get the win as we weren't really in the game. Sven should be sacked immediately for such crap, negative football & he's spent massive amount of money. The ref was totally biased towards City, Kasper kept us in the game with the amoint of fantastic saves he made. Mikail-Smith or whatever his name is run rings around Sol Sol Samba Sol Sol Samba. On yesterdays form we are certainties for relegation!!!
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 The fact Poyet says we deserved goes against what the FL show says. Load of shit that show.
Fox92 Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 RumbleFox, I love your posts and I agree. I always find that they always say incorrect stuff like this.
bluesbrothers Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 EMT gave us a fair little round-up, without patronising us or anything. Reported Abe's goal as his first for Leicester though? Unless they reset the tally each season, that's lazy journalism.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 Though the FLS described their handball as blatant, which is a bit harsh IMO
Trav Le Bleu Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 Historically there have been lots of gay people in charge at the BBC. Go figure.
bluearmyfox23 Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 Tht manish supports Leicester as well !!!
bluebeau Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 At least Claridge wasn't on it Claridge is a City legend & one of my favourite City players, but what makes him such an expert in football management? He really gets my back up, criticising Sven & City. He says that Sven is the wrong man in the job at City, & that he should bring in players that will form an effective team, not just bringing them in 'cos they are Premier players etc. He doesn't have a good word to say about Sven or City, but the funny thing is, I don't remember him being a great success in football management! He soon got found out that he was blody useless! Keep it shut Steve & I have a feeling that you may have to eat your words! In Sven we trust!
h block Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 You`re getting a complex boys. Ooh the BBC are giving more attention to the team that topped the league at 3 yesterday than they are to us. Ooh they hate us. What a whinging bunch you lot have turned out to be.
