I bet Bristol City feel rather pi**ed off now for not cashing in,because if he carries on this goal drought his valuation will plummet. I know it may just be a loss of form,but i think we have got lucky by not splashing the £6million that was offered and Beckford will prove to be a better option than Maynard in time.

Yes,that's what I was saying in another thread. Could well have been a waste of money. Probably he will be allowed to go in January, but his price will have plummeted.

Not scored for a shit team in 7? Dreadful... Vassell would (often) kill not to score in 7 & have you noticed how many Beckford has scored & for a much better side than Brizzle. Form is temporary & how cares about another club's player's form? On just as relevant a side note, I signed Maynard in FIFA (£5.3m was the magic number) & sold Vassell have an awesome strength in depth with Nuge, Beckford, Schlupp & Maynard now.

Ashley Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 Another Maynard thread? Nugent and Beckford are better. I'm glad we didn't spend the £6M on him to be honest. Beckford for £2.5M rising to £4M is a much better deal.

Had they accepted the offer, they'd have been able to afford the defence and creative player they desperately need, and wouldn't be favourites to go down. Poor move by all at BC, but if theyre as rich as they say theyll be fine in L1. Big loss for them not so much for us

I think we would create more chances for a player like him but that ship has sailed. We are on a good run and lets build on it with the players we have at our disposal.

Jace Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 Bristol City must be pissed that he didn't want to agree terms with us they are going to get relegated this season and no doubt he will leave in the summer for free when he is out of contract, 6 million lost which they could of really done with to finance their new stadium getting under way hope Sven puts in a cheeky 1 million bid for him in January just to take the piss
