Craig Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 First five minutes... "BECKFORD YOU USELESS C***", "**** OFF BECKFORD", etc. Oh how I enjoyed it.
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Obviously happy with the result and being in the next round with (touch wood) a real chance of progression. The pessimist in me says that a match in which Beckford was clinical, Danns had an imapct, Wellens didn't look past it and Gallagher didn't have to be carried, owes more to how poor Forest were (and that was very, very, shockingly, start worrying about relegation poor) than how good we were. But the optimist will take the positives; Beckfords goals, St Ledger playing his way back in and a comprehensive win. I hope this is the turning point for us, for Beckford, for Pearson
LTID Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 From the red scum forum: - "This is disgusting and woeful, never have I been so ashamed to call myself a Forest fan. Nothing . . . no crumb of comfort that might persuade me that there is a way out of this. The FA Cup isn't important, how we play and how we carry on from here is. Thank you Mr Doughty, this is the Forest that YOU created. Proud of yourself ? Still think your monkey is doing a good job ???" NewburyFox Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Brilliant win. It amazes me the way that the players were knocking it around and taking the piss just three days after the shambles versus Barnsley. Same team for Southampton please. And Forest are truly awful. They're going to need miracles this season to stay up.
Bert Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Sean St Ledger goes even further to prove that he's been our best defender whenever he's played.
easilee Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Oh come on, just enjoy it. It looks good Felt like we had more possession than that.
tylesta Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Felt like we had more possession than that. Probally did as i remember kasper tiping one over the bar that was on target!
city1993 Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 POSITIVES: Jermaine Beckford - The lad scored a hat-trick with a bad cold and didn't really want to play, didn't look like it though? Work rate superb. David Nugent - Excellent work rate, chasing the channels, the men, the ball, everything was being hunted down, great shift. Neil Danns - Passed the ball well, won tackles, spread the play, gave us time to re-group in sticky patches, was a very commendable midfield performance, good man. Lloyd Dyer - Delivery was good, kept his width well, passed the ball to feet and in between the lines at the right times. Lee Peltier - Excellent performance from the lad who said he didn't think he was ready to play before the game, you couldn't tell at all. The team worked for each other, fought together, ran together, tracked back quickly and as a unit, and kept their heads when defending (minimal I know). Pearson CELEBRATED THE GOALS! NEGATIVES: Gallagher's delivery wasn't good from corners and his long-range shooting wasn't great but we were winning 3's and 4's by then so we'll let him off. Mills shouldn't be allowed to kick the ball any more I think, every time the ball is at his feet you worry for the next movement. Think he needs to stop with the long balls that go nowhere, only heaps pressure on us, don't want to see that against Southampton but we all know it will happen. We won 4-0, excellent. Now let's see how we do against a top side, can we keep consistency? Can we play at the same tempo as tonight? Will Pearson keep the same side? We'll see. For now, enjoy tonight! Foxes never quit.
jamesmilner Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 great result !!!! keeping it real ,a woeful forest side should of scored at least twice . still room for plenty of improvement . southampton away next ! thats the time to get things right . good luck city for monday and its onwards and hopefully upwards !

iancognito Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Great win, pleased for Beckford as he's clearly a confidence player and got better as the game went on. But honestly that's the worst Forest side I've seen in years, probably ever. Long may it continue
Koke Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 To put in perspective the shit outfit we faced tonight...saw this on a Forest site. 11 of their last 13 results. Brown Fox Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Great game tonight. Absolutely thrilled at that performance. Won't get my hopes too high because Forest are so wank it's unreal. Greening and Boateng were so inept it was hilarious. And that miss. WOW. Big difference today seemed to be the fact we played the ball about much faster, crisper and most importantly, on the floor. Obviously Mills was giving if the hoof, but SSL had a great influence on him and they seemed very solid together. The midfield was class today. Wellens and Danns ran the show. The major difference was the fact that we were playing the ball through to Beckford for him to run on to, especially Wellens. Danns was superb and was literally everywhere. Dyer ran at Forest and scared the life out of them, and bloody hell where did Gally come out with that performance. Seemed to be moving into more central areas and linking up play and getting his shots away. Beckford and Nugent were so lively it was so good to watch. Once again don't want to get my hopes up but if we can continue like that and use that as a confidence booster, maybe we can do something with our season.
whoareyaaa Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Beckford was a different class today and showed what he can do when given the proper service from midfield and what he can do himself when he is constantly chasing down balls and scaring defenders. hope he continues this form and got a well deserved hatrick with a lovely chip in between. great work from the whole midfield and especially to Danns great performance like the ones he use to put in at Palace, I dont think we really missed Andy King today and it showed as we looked like we had the extra man in midfeild something we lack when Kingys playing. All the defence looked solid coped very well athough there wasnt too much of a threat from Forest for 90% of the game, would be good to keep SSL seems good on the ball and looks good alongside Mills. Lets take this to Southampton and keep taking points off everyone above us and see where we are come May

RedHux Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 well, congrats on the win. Although you didn't really have to break into a sweat to do it. I did say before the game that we are woeful. Coterill makes McClaren look like a genius.

It's been a while since i've heard "you're not fit to wear the shirt" chanted, I'm not surprised though, i tend to agree!
lcfcadam Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 well, congrats on the win. Although you didn't really have to break into a sweat to do it. I did say before the game that we are woeful. Coterill makes McClaren look like a genius. When you came on here saying something like "regardless of how bad you are, we're worse" I found it hard to believe, because our performance against Barnsley was just so impossibly inept. However, yeah - you were really, really not very good today. To you personally (cos you always come across as a decent chap): best of luck for the rest of the season To the rest of those inbREDs, hope Charlton kept League One warm for you
MC Prussian Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Nottingham F"*wst were poorer than I expected them to be. Against an appalling opposition, Beckford had a stroll in the park with his three goals. All well-taken, mind you. Possession stats (felt): Home 75%, away 25%. I haven't seen a Leicester side this dominating for a long, long time. Still undecided whether it was thanks to our mindset or F"**%st being so unbelievably shit.
EnderbyFox Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Post match interviews Pearson : Matt Mills and Danns :
cc_star Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 I couldnt believe their fans were singing "Sacked in the morning". Never heard anything like it wow, thought it was us That's staggering
lcfcadam Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Possession stats: Home 72%, away 28%. Wouldn't wanna question these rather impressive looking stats but the BBC and OS only say 59 / 41?
Libertine Dream Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Great result today and can't wait for Swindon. The people on their forum seem to think they are Barcelona and we are Hinckley just because theyve got mardy cvnt Paulo. Another 4-0 would be great, but we'll struggle to be that consistent:p
