HEGGSY Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 So 4-0 Fanfvckingtastic! Beckford was immense tonight and to be fair the whole team was brilliant. As the commentator said when Beckford was substituted "maybe this is the coming of age as a Leicester player" Lets hope so. And Forest well... Lets hope we can kick on from this.
eastendfox Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Forest the worst side I have ever seen in my life. We're not suddenly world beaters but you can only beat what's in front of you.
MikeyT Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Bloody brilliant. Every man on that pitch tonight in blue was superb. Beckford...different man tonight! Well done! Bring on Swindon!
MrFox781 Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Ive got that feeling back again, looking forward to the next game.
Guest ttfn Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Good performance, great result. We must remember that it was Forest we just smashed. And they are properly shit. That was our first home win in 5 games, so please, please, please let's not go OTT? Beckford was excellent tonight. Made some proper runs for once, ones where there was a realistic possibility of him receiving the ball, and two of his goals came from that. Difficult to give MOM to anyone else, but I thought Neil Danns was outstanding in midfield, so he's a close second to Beckford.
trabuch Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Highs like this make the lows bearable... almost
TheUltimateWinner Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 YESS THENN! Ah god what a win! Clean Sheat - Bit of a coincedence that we don't concede when Sean St Legend returns... & Beckford - Phwoaarrr
martyn Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 We played well, with energy and the front 2 were livewires. If we could do it consistently we'd be onto something. Having said this, we can't go overboard. That Forest side were an absolute disgrace, possibly the worst performance I've seen by opposition in years.
MPH Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 AVE IT!!!!!!!!!! CHUFFIN WELL AVE IT!!!!! 72% posession aswell.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 *Awaits to see how many people on the back of one win state we are going to win the league and cup*
ScouseFox Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Shit in the league, who gives a fcuk, Jermaine Beckford, he's good in the cup...
Criggers Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Difficult to give MOM to anyone else, but I thought Neil Danns was outstanding in midfield, so he's a close second to Beckford. It pains me to say it but Wellens was brilliant tonight. Wanted the ball, ran with it, looked forwards all the time. He controlled the game for a lot of the 90 mins. Different player tonight, but was it just because forest were shit?
Guest Bilo Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Beckford MOTM by a country mile in my opinion, but as ttfn says Danns was impressive indeed. Not getting too carried away because were staggeringly, ball-achingly woeful and could well be plying their trade in places like Wycombe and Exeter next season on the strength of that. Nevertheless though, a fine win. Let's try to transfer this to the league now. PS: What was up with Beckford at the end?
Matt Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Played well, without taking anything away from the lads I just hope it wasn't a case of Forest making us look good. Good team performance and great game for Beckford, Man of the Match, The difference being? It looked like he wanted it tonight, he tried, he ran for things, jumped for things, looked lively. Just hope he keeps it up. Without sounded pessimistic, stay grounded people, don't get too excited, because I know some people will go on thinking we'll storm the league now.
dayday Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Superb tonight and what a difference Danns made playing in his right position.
casablancas Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Hope is kindled ... Nothing to say about the performance other than sublime. Everyone put the work rate in, ball played along the ground with pace and precision, was a joy to watch. Beckford has to take a bow, his little chip over the keep was stone cold. He was everywhere tonight with messers nugent and danns. Thought the back four kept it tight, with mills playing a few simple balls. Nice one lads !!!
leicesterisme Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Delighted for Beckford. A good peformance against a truely terrible side. How bad are they

Danns was awesome and even tho he didn't get on score sheet Nugent ran his socks off. Midfield looks better with Danns in IMO!!!! Hope to god we can build on this !!
HoustonFox Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 @Babylon as can't reply on match thread as locked. Alright, 15 games then... Great performance. Danns MOM for me followed by Becks, Dyer and Konch. SSL also immense. Also, Wellens looked good too. Great all round performance.
lcfcadam Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Well, well! For a start, Forest were stunningly bad. Really, I'd be amazed if they avoid relegation. That said, our approach to the game was absolutely perfect from the off. Refusing to allow an opposition player a moment on the ball, choosing the most realistic pass (not always necessarily the most obvious, but not always necessarily the most complicated) and confidently taking the shot on if it was there. Yes Beckford pulled out a star turn this evening, but I'd say Danns was the player who lit the ground alight this evening. Gallagher pulling off a ****ing immense performance as well ( I know, I'm as surprised as you!) A very, very enjoyable evening, particularly so because I wasn't expecting it in the slightest
Ozwin Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Andy King injury was a blessing in disguise. Danns was superb, best game for him in a Leicester shirt.
