Richie " what ever title you wish to put in" Wellens off to Leeds?

Hahaha ! Wellens is an average championship player there is a reason hes spent his whole career playing for average teams (us and Doncaster) don't get me wrong he's had some good games for us. But we've had the best out of him. I'm glad he's going hopefully Gallagher will follow his mate. They both have massive egos and can't be good for the dressing room. This club needs a new breed of player and NP realises that drinkwater danns schlupp waggy pelts nugent are the future not wellens and gally who perform when they feel like it. Out with the old in with the new.

I've just come back from a christening at the KP stadium,I was talking to one of the security guards there.I was trying to get some info off him,He seemed to know some things but, didn't want to let on.He said that they have signed a form saying that they will stay silent. But I kept trying, eventually he told me that 3 players will be going and 4 players are coming in before the deadline.I then asked him if Richie Wellens was leaving and Snodgrass and Delfonsoe coming in! He answered "Your not far off at all"that's all I'm saying.I then asked again "is Wellens leaving then ",and he nodded, to say yes!He told me that all the stuff is done down the training ground but the kit men give them the info when they are at the ground.Im not saying it is gospel but I thought i would share what he said!

So is that not enough to piss a player off?

How is he getting off lightly? Some other players never get jeered or booed for mistakes.

I don't think it's strong enough to make him seek a move. It might well piss a player off, but if you don't play well it's going to happen.

Some players don't, some players get plenty of stick. Wellens is in the middle- has received some criticism in recent weeks while before that he was supported and well liked by the fans.

You look at the way Ricardo was treated, and Gallagher is, and Beckford has been, and he doesn't get that much stick at the ground. It's more on here.

He's a massive pussy if he wants out because a few fans shouted of fvck off richie when he gives the ball away. What a joke of a man.

It's not that, it's a lot of people booing and then sarcastically cheering when he got substituted. If the season is going to shit and then you feel like your own fans hate you you'd probably want to go.

If I felt the boos and jeers were because of lack of effort instead of people just thinking he was crap I wouldn't raise the issue.

Last couple of games he's been excellent, he's absolutely ran the midfield. For him to thrive he needs runners around him so he can be the playmaker that he is. We've not provided that all season. I for one really hope he doesn't leave, as next season he could be the ideal 'quarterback' this team might need.

I'll be in the minority here, but we'll miss him when/if he leaves.

He was awful against Barnsley and ok against forest calm down !

I don't see the point of you all slating each other because you have differing opinions over Wellens or whatever else.

I do think Wellens has taking an unfair proportion of the criticism on here this season but if we're able to cash in on him, I reckon now's the time.

He was utterly atrocious against Barnsley! What are you talking about?

I agree with walker. wellens played well with a runner. When we are in posession wellens is the playmaker and goes forward. when we lose possesion danns does to running and gets the tackles in. the 2 worked well against forest.

Was a good win, but as decent as we were, Forest were twice as bad. Even I would have looked good playing that night.

You have to be good, to make the other team look bad

If we weren't much better than we were against Barnsley, it would have been 2 awful teams playing a really shit game.

We danced around them like we danced around Derby, hopefully we can play with that tempo against better teams too instead of trying to spoil them & in the process spoiling our own game

The whole team was atrocious, makes the person's job who's supposed to be pulling the strings very difficult if there's no movement & leaves no choice but to resort to unrealistic passes, something he's slated for weeks & even months as we've generally been poor as a team more often than not... whilst no one appears to notice there's no one to pass to if they're all static & marked-up.

hold on, hold on, hold on.

Wellens gets the ball down?

I better have a fvcking word with specsavers 'cause they've clearly got my prescription wrong. When I see Wellens play he doesn't keep the ball down, he launches it long, to avoid having to actually move his fat ass and make space to get the ball back.

Unbelievable !

You sir should take up Gardening because you are wasting your money going to watch football .

Or you can look at the other side, where you look good and can play better football because the other team is so poor.

Yes we finally started to play how we should have been all season, some of our players were seriously up for it which helped. Though the way Forest stood off us for periods and allowed us to stroke the ball around and build our confidence more etc helped a great deal.

Im right with you though about the better teams bit. If we actually go out and want to play our kind of game, instead of stifling ourselves, we could see a change around in our season, and I bloody hope so! :fc:

He's been an excellent servant to our club for a number of years, would be sad to see him go.

Just amazes me that some of our fans want to see the back of him. The guy is suffering from a common problem called "dip in form", a lot of professionals suffer from it and usually bounce back.

I would personally like to stand by a player who has done so much for the club as I know he will be back to his best! Give it time people... Wellens will be good again.

why? Because I don't jerk off over an incredibly average championship journeyman?

He was fairly good first season, pretty average last season and has been abysmal so far this season - if that's indicative of the route he's taking then we need to offload as soon as possible.

You are absolutely right. Three of the four fans who think Wellens is fantastic have been on this thread this morning, 'bless 'em'.

Totally agree with what you say.

But there are exceptions to everything.

The fact mr Wellens is tired and finding it hard to train means if he discovers his from how long will it be for.

If we get an offer we need to think serrious about it.

Also he would be a big wage moved out and give NP more options in the market.

So if he comes good now great but at 31 and tired whats he gonna be like at 32 and 33.

He has about 3yrs on his contract has a high earner.

Do we really want to be paying that money to someone thats tired for 3 yrs.

If he gets the chance and wants off TVM richie and all the best for the future good bye.

Wellens was superb against Barnsley, back to his best.

In my opinion anyone who says he was pony just has a downer on the bloke, whether it's at the detriment to the team or not.

Work that out
