Why can't Harry do Spurs and England?

I would like that to happen up till the end of the season but would like him to be full time after.

It will be Redknapp I'm sure.

Get ready for at least four more years of Lampard!

Seriously though I do think he's the obvious choice, even if he is a cock. I just can't wait to see the back of the old guard.

I bet you the old guard will remain.

Michael Owen and Beckham to return.

The only thing I actually want from whoever is given the job is that they have the same sort of outspoken pride a certain Mr Beckham has when it comes to representing their country.

Well saying as I predicted yesterday's events perfectly :P.

Ive put some money on Alan Pardew. Mainly down to timing... I think if capello ha left after Euros then it would of been Harry no contest, but I think Harry wants to stick around and see how close he can get to the title.

Step forward Mr Pardew, however he may himself be put of by the timing and the chance of a cheeky fourth place finish for the Geordies(something I also have money on haha)

I just have a horrible feeling it will be Stuart Pearce. Similar to McClaren events, but not identical. Let's hope we get hammered by Holland in that friendly so the FA don't get a good representation of him. Redknapp for me. Second option would be Hiddink

I think the FA will offer it to Harry, no question. Will he accept though? No guarantees. Bet bet is him part time until the summer. He can put in place a backroom team with existing FA coaches etc, then put his full team in place in the summer.

What a massive day yesterday was for Redknapp!!

I bet Spurs fans will be bricking it at the thought. He should without doubt be the long term manager, but would he really leave Spurs right now? I'm not dead certain he'd leave them in the summer, nevermind now. I'd like to see Pearce come in now unless Arry wants it part time til the end of the season. The players need someone they'd respect. Both fit the bill

Don't think its going to be Pardew.

Mourinho won't take it, Hiddink is a possibility.

But with the clamour of the press for an Englishman (they weren't complaining when Capello got the job though) I can't see him getting it.

It would be good to have a real world FM situation, a manager doing a league and international job, I really dont see why it cant work, I mean all Fabio did anyway was watch a different match each weekend, and a club manager would get a chance to see whoever he wants to pick week in week out playing against whichever club he manages. If anything he would get a better perspective than a manager watching from the stands.

I might be the only one here who thinks Harry Redknapp simply isnt international class

I agree, also remember how Real Madrid took Spurs to bits last season.

I think they should employ whoever it will be over a long term contract. Not two tournaments, or four years. How about six to eight years? Its a long term project, any relaistic England fan knows that. The FA need the balls and brains to employ someone knowing that it will not be turned round overnight, and that we'll probably get worse before we get better. (a bit like us being relegated)

I'd get rid of Terry, Ferdinand, Lampard, Gerrard, and Rooney. Let them go. Rebuild from scratch. I'd much sooner work around a front three of Welbeck, Sturridge and Young, than incorporating the waste of space that is Rooney. Someone has to have the balls to this and to know that the FA will back him in doing so.

Redknapp- (Don't like him anyway he's a total scumbag, however I think he's worried on leaving spurs a chance of winning the league and takeover England get humiliated at the euro's)

Padrew- (Probably will be looked at by the fa, if he was offered he would take it in a second)

Hodgson- (Same as Padrew)

Mourihno- (A slight interest but he would want a huge offer from the fa to take the job)

O'Neill- (No Chance in hell)

Benitez- (Won't be surprised if he's applied, but he won't get hit)

Hiddink- (Probably sent his C.V in already, I do think he will be considered)

Pearce- (He'd take it on a temporary basis, maybe to the euros)

Disagree. This is the mistake the F.A have made before. Look at the millions spunked away giving the likes of Eriksson and Capello highly lucrative, long term contracts. The contracts should be short term, tournament to tournament and only extended in the event of successful campaigns.

Capello failed miserably at the World Cup and should have gone then but as he was sitting on such a fantastic contract it was not financially viable to fire him then. A manager should only get an extended contract if he qualifies and at the very least makes the Quarter Finals of the tournament. It should be bonus related, so unless relative success is achieved then these ridiculous amounts of money would not be earnt.

You could argue that such a stance would narrow down the potential field of candidates but if that rules out the greedy mercenaries then i'm all for it.

Probably too idealistic in the modern environment but that's the way it should be.
