21st Century Fox Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 How about put the effort in each game, chase down balls and show passion and looks like he cares and not stroll around like he his playing Sunday league. He is a talent thats for sure. Squad full of egos thought, nearly all of them need to take a long hard look how they have let the fans down this Season. Disgrace of a season. You lost me right here and you spelt it wrong.
Mark_w Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 I said we made progress. But only fans who consider the lower leagues as our natural habitat could deem his record as being successful. He could only do the job he found himself in and he did it brilliantly, plenty of sides have rotted in League One for years following their relegations, and he didn't spend anywhere near the amount Sven spent but still managed to get us in the Play-Offs. If it wasn't for Nigel we could be a side that consider the lower leagues our habitat. If you include the Championship as lower leagues then get used to it because the Prem hasn't looked like our natural habitat for ten years! Who brought both Brown and Kermorgant to the club in the first place? These events happened on his watch and therefore he has to take ultimate responsibility for them. Steve Walsh found him Tunchev in League One, if he'd told me Kermorgant was a good signing in the Championship I'd have believed him. Brown did a good job as a player, Nigel couldn't have known he was such a twat.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 I'll save him the trouble. Winning mentality, we need to be playing like Barcelona. You missed the bit about Alan Sheehan saving us with his set pieces!
21st Century Fox Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 You missed the bit about Alan Sheehan saving us with his set pieces! And how Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would have won the league by now because he's a winner.
Kitchandro Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 Just seen the goals. Dreadful defending from both teams. Don't blame Schmeichel for any of theirs. The first was unlucky, Konchesky was beaten in the air and he palmed it against Wellens who was standing on the post. They didn't show the build up to their second but I did see St Ledger on his arse and Bednar scoring so we must have ****ed up somehwere. The third looked embarrassing, there looks like no positioning or organisation, just panic - 2 players in the right back position and neither anywhere near the bloke who crossed it. Phillips just arrived on the scene unmarked. They looked even worse than us, good finishes from Beckford but they didn't half make it easy for him. He waltzed through for the first and the second was just a joke, not a defender within 5 yards of either him or Marshall. I wouldn't read too much into our attacking flair from those 3 goals though they were finished off well and good assists from Drinkwater and Marshall.
Charl91 Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 Matt Mills!! He's the saviour! Some of you clowns are unbelievable, this guy was getting pilloried for his indiscipline earlier this season. When will some of you realise that changing 1 centre half is not necessarily going to make us a more solid unit. Football is slightly more complicated than that. Nigel Pearson has proved in the past that he knows how to sort out a side to be solid and not leak goals. If we're still conceding bucketloads come November next season, then get back to me. Yes, he was. But it appears he's the best of a bad bunch. Our defense, while not great, wasn't this bad when he was playing.
Underdog Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 Midfield and forwards were superb tonight let down by pub football defending again. Mood in car was just utter despair on way back.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 Defence is ****ing wank. A load of shite, i am sure some of us could defend better. Phillips free header from a corner? As if he can even last a full 90 mins for **** sake! Needs to be sorted desperately, and thanks to the wank defence the season is over definitely now, no arguements.
Guest Col city fan Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 Tonight was pretty gutting to be fair. The front two looked particularly lively and appear to finally be developing that crucial partnership so needed at any level of football. Both Jermaine and Nugent took their goals cooly and precisely and the former is looking increasingly dangerous. The midfield looked to be controlling the game for large parts of the time. We were certainly the better team tonight. Why did we not win? Well three reasons for me. Firstly, the defence, including Kasper, suddenly look shaky and nervous. The number of goals conceded recently is now worrying. Secondly, yet again this season.... Frustratingly its still happening... When we absolutely need to hold onto a lead, we cannot keep the fookin football. In my opinion, our inability to 'see out a game' and to defend 'as a team' has been a major Achilles heel all season. Thirdly, Kevin Phillips ... At about a hundred and twenty this fella has still got class oozing out of every pore. His runs and positional sense off the ball were as good as his ability to do something when he was on it. Finally, the support tonight again was cracking. Long journey and we nearly did it but that's gotta be it now.
Daggers Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 I said we made progress. But only fans who consider the lower leagues as our natural habitat could deem his record as being successful. Oh Colin - you are a wag. Go on, drop your trousers again, just to make this even funnier!
Happy Fox Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 Key thing is finishing the season well, then on too a difficult next season just 4-5 additions max in the summer (Gunter, Etuhu,Rhodes,Stewart/Vardy and Smithies), keep the nucleus of the team offload Pantsil, Wellens, Gallagher, Dyer,Howard, Weale, Logan and Tunchev. Then hope for the best that the team will eventually keep the lead, improve the mentality and get promotion.
blueharmie Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 You lost me right here and you spelt it wrong. I didn't say he wasn't a good player as he is. But you cannot defend his performances earlier in tw season. He could not be bothered, it wasn't just beckford though. I like the way he tries now but it's too little too late.
Jace Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 Pearson needs to give Mills another chance or at least address to the fans why he is not welcome at the Club because right now we are not as strong at the back as we should be. No offense but you're all pulling this Mills stuff out your arse, I didn't realise we were this unbeatable force when he was in the side and there weren't topic after topic calling for his ****ing head on a stake after every game. You are right Ozwin I'm talking out my arse we are as strong at the back as we should be..
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 Thats it now another chance of getting up the division slides away, what a shambles of a defence, Pearsons teams were always known for their solid defence, but not now, gutted, we are scoring goals but conceding plenty. On the BBC they reported Holloways teams are always attack attack attack, dont remember that when we went down with a whimper at Stoke in our relegation year, rubbish.
ibbosuk Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 If Nigel the cvnt had any decency he wouldn't even get on the bus back to Leicester tonight. The tools on here that support him should fvck off with him.
Thracian Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 Where is Thracian? he usually pops up with a thesis on solutions to LCFC's problems and tbh he doesn't half talk some sense sometimes. I've not seen a lot of point in commentating on what is beyond excusing and especially now that our season is effectively over in terms of promotion. You simply can't win things with a team that fails to attack and defend as one and which lacks the ruthlessness necessary to maintain a match-winning authority. It would be interesting for the statistically inclined to analyse how many times. either here or elsewhere, a Pearson tema has gone a goal ahead but no more. Seems to me we totally lack the philosophy required to score and then score some more. In almost every game I've watched we concede ground once we've scored and defend from deeper. It's a form of footballing suicide. I never gave a toss about personalities as a manager and would willingly pick my worst enemy ahead of my brother if he was a better player. I don't necessarily think Mills absence is the reason for our defensive woes but why our manager thinks Morgan is any sor of answer defeats me. Peltier has long been a weakness - not just positionally or as a marker, but in the indifferent support he provides. With two glaring weaknesses and others perhaps faltering as a consequence we've become vulnerable and the opposition has soon sensed it. Winning in sport depends so much on confidence but can only come when players have complete belief in the manager and when the manager knows exactly what he wants them to do. I listen to Pearson's interviews and they're all bland and considered. No driving philosophy comes to the fore with very little burning passion and or emotive expression. There's none of the inspiring oratory that made players love to play for the likes of Bill Shankly. Pearson comes over as thoughtful and decent, not inspiring and ruthless. And everything leads on from that - every chink in our armour and there are so many...both individually and as a collective unit. Meeting Pearson I'm sure it would be easy to like him but that's a long, long way from believing in him or his showing himself worthy of being believed in. Ruthlessness requires you to be uncompromising. Pearson compromises in so many ways. Especially when we go ahead. It's alright saying that, theoretically, the season isn't over. That fails to recognise why we've been faltering so frustratingly and anticipates some sort of personality transplant, affecting both players and manager, to change all that. I'd love to be wrong but just don't see it happening. Being winners really is about attitude as much as anything and we don't have it.
The Guvnor Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 Millsy must be pissing himself, I would be. Bunch of clowns If anyone will be pissing themselves with laughter its Reading FC
Thracian Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 And one other thing. Winning football matches is not about the defence or attack - it's about the team as a unit. It's about thinking as a unit, working as a unit and having players with the all-round ability to cog into a unit. Anything else is the sort of compromise I've previously mentioned.

The tools on here that support him should fvck off with him. I agree sir his substitutions totally lost us the game you knew what was coming with ten minutes left we try to defend deeper and deeper it just doesnt work Mills and bamba central defensive partnership until the end of the season please There is a saying never go back the thais havent heard it obviously cos pearson shouldnt have!
Mark_w Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 Mills and bamba central defensive partnership until the end of the season please Just let Nigel do his job, he's had relative success every time he's managed at this level, but we have to give him a chance and a full season with his own players for that to happen again.
foxesfan1989 Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 Has anyone got the audio of the Pearson post-match interview? I was so gutted and angry at the last minute goal i couldn't listen to the post match analysis with all those callers shouting for Pearsons head.
Criggers Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 Massive over reaction because of a late goal. If it had been us getting a last minute draw I'm sure a lot of these posts would be massively different. Most of us would have taken a point from tonight per match, we're just pissed that we fooked it up in the last min. Looking at the run in I don't think we should fear anyone. We have a good run of home games now to try and get a run going and the only two teams that should worry us are Leeds and West Ham. Well West Ham is at home and Leeds got hit for 7 by Forest. And you never know, by the last two games of the season we might be in a good position and playing with belief and confidence, who knows?! Plenty to play for still. So why all the negativity? As for next season, a couple of defensive signings and a midfielder or two and we should be laughing. No need for a squad revolution like last summer. I think Pearson knows where he's going with this squad and in Marshall and Drinkwater he's started the new build. More than could be said of Sven or Paulo, or in my opinion anyone else that we could employ.
Kawwaah Kawwaah Posted 22 March 2012 Posted 22 March 2012 I think a draw isnt a bad result in all fairness. Blackpool are no mugs so to get a draw up there is great really! Fans are miffed because we let a 3-2 lead slip in the dying seconds but had we come from 3-2 down in the dying seconds the atmosphere on here would be more positive, yet the bloody result would be exactly the same! Yes we have too much to do this season, get over it, promotion isnt happening. But even if we were sitting in 2nd place now and blackpool were where they are (6th??) we'd have been happy to come away with a draw! Its not a bad result JUST because we need to win every game until the end of the season to make a play off place which we dont really have any right to achieve after an up and down season
