Schmeichel 6 - Not much to do and some pretty woeful kicks to be fair

Peltier 8 - Best game in a while, can't record Stewart or Brady getting past him

St Ledger 7 - Decent defensive display, few sloppy passes though

Morgan 8 - Absolute rock today, big difference from recent games

Konchesky 7 - Fairly consistent performance as usual

Marshall 9 - That's what I have been waiting to see, hardly put a foot wrong

Danns 8 - Played very well up until red card, some great tackles

Drinkwater 7 - Some good interceptions, but more quiet than others

Dyer 10 - Honestly he deserves a 10, absolute incredible goal and incredible display

Nugent 7 - Up and down game, but worked hard as usual

Beckford 8 - Led the line very well, good shift

Subs

Bamba 7 - Was shite against Chelsea, but today he looked good, great shot which hit post

Kennedy - N/A

Everyone was woeful until our goal, so these marks are for after the 1st goal only, before that 1/10's all round

Kasper - 7 - Much better than his past couple of games where he's made poor decision and paid for it. Hull never really beat our fullbacks & tested him on crosses though

Peltier - 7 - Again, much better than recently, stuck to defensive side of his game better

Morgan - 8 - The rock is back

SSL - 7 - Accomplished defending, but weaker than usual passing today

Konch - 7 - Standard

Drinkwater - 7 - Did some good stuff, but still to press his character into our team

Danns - 6 - Would have been an 8 were it not for his reckless two footed lunge, which could have cost us

Dyer - 9 - Incredible, something happened every time he got the ball, genuinely exciting (MotM)

Marshall - 8 - Wonder goal... again.

Nugent - 6 - Tracked back well, but didn't see enough in attack

Beckford - 9 - Brilliant, ran the line excellently, chased the ball down & was always making himself open for the pass

Subs:

Bamba - 8 - Think I want to see him in the middle again

Kennedy - N/a

Pearson - 9 - Chronic injury problems but despite a clueless first ~20mins the team selection & formation won the day & good subs and at the right time

Officials - Didn't see much wrong tbh, got Danns decision right IMO, although the stream was a bit blurry

Schmeichel 6 - Kicking was bad, apart from that when called upon decent. Might have done better for the goal? Need to see it on tv.

Peltier 8

St Ledger 7 - Decent, although some of his passing was bad.

Morgan 9 - Solid. Outmuscled every Hull player who tried to challenge. Man of the match for me.

Konchesky 7

Dyer 8 - Much better. Ran at players all game, and a great strike. Prefer him on the right.

Danns 7 - Think he lost the ball for Fryatt's goal, but other than that and the red card he was good.

Drinkwater 7 - Started abit shaky, but grew into the game. Should have scored as well.

Marshall 8 - All over the pitch, running at players, winning the ball and a great goal. Good performance.

Nugent 7 - Stuck out wide, but he was his usual self. Chased everything and looked ok.

Beckford 8 - Chased every ball. Unlucky not to score, deserved it.

Kasper 6 had a decent game but his kicking was dreadful

Peltier 7

Morgan 8 Rock

SSL 8

Konchesky 7

Marshall 8 Good goal even though it took a deflection but oh well, it won us the game!

Danns 8 Brilliant performance, got stuck in, captain material! From my view it wasn't a sending off.

Drinkwater 7 Decent game again, was unlucky with his shot at the end

Dyer 9 Ran at opponents, good finish and some good crosses. Where have you been Dyer!

Nugent 7 was out of position with the 4-2-3-1 formation but another good game

Beckford 8 worked hard, made some good passes and held up the ball.

Well it took conceding a goal to make us play good, thought the first 10 minutes we were awful and the midfield was no where to be seen and was saying why no 4-4-2 but after the goal we controlled the game well. If we won wednesday then we would of been 2 points from the play offs with a game in hand with Forest but never the less lets just take it a game at a time, get in the play offs it will be great but if we don't well then another season at it.

Our defence was solid today and it's frustrating that we have not played like that every game because we know we can.

Matt who?

Kasper - 6 - Having a few crappy games, no? He saves fine, but his kicking is piss poor

Peltier - 7

St Ledger 7

Morgan 8

Konchesky 7

Dyer 9 - What a beast

Danns 8 - Good game. 50-50 and gets sent off. Balls to you ref

Drinkwater 7

Marshall 9 - Outstanding performance

Nugent 8 - Is he a universal player now?

Beckford 8

Just seen Danns challenge on highlights on Sky Sports News, looked a woeful decision from the stands but looking at it ref got it spot on.

Nasty challenge went right over the ball, with two feet.

Schmeichel - 6. Should he have done better for their goal? Dodgy distribution at times but at least he's ambitious/optimistic with it.

Peltier - 8. I don't read everyone elses comments until I've done mine so I don't know about you lot, but I thought he had a great game. Stewart always looked a threat yet Peltier always seemed to avert it. Far, far better.

St Ledger - 6. Thought he was generally alright but Jesus he's slow, outpaced by fvcking Fryatt.

Morgan - 8. Solid game, won everything.

Konchesky - 6. Alright game, he's been better.

Danns - 7. Thought he was having a good game until his red. Not seen a replay but for once I thought the ref got it right. Was just miffed that all the Hull players avoided bookings.

Drinkwater - 7. Another good display, probably should've scored.

Marshall - 8. What a goal lol so much for Hull fans "we even dare to shoot from distance now Pearson's gone", have that. I can always sympathise with a player who gives it away whilst trying to create something good, which he did. Very good game and I'm starting to really take to him.

Dyer - 8. Very good game. Got involved more and scored a good goal too, far more ambitious display by him.

Nugent - 6. Fairly quiet but not bad.

Beckford - 7. Good game. Work rate really has improved.

Subs;

Bamba - 7. Jesus Christ, he tries so many daft things yet they always seem to come off, FLAIR as fvck and so nearly scored. Thought he was solid.

Schmeichel 6.5 - Kicking worse than it has been for a while. His throwing is brilliant, not sure why he doesn't do that too often. Not too much to do, but made a couple of decent stops. Little he could do about the goal.

Peltier 7.5 - Best game for a while. Their number 7 was a tricky customer but he stuck at it and largely nullified him.

Morgan 7 - Still not sure what to make of him. Put in a couple of great blocks though and some good clearances.

St. Ledger 6.5 - Awful first half an hour, then made some great blocks.

Konchesky 6.5 - Not his best game, but again made few mistakes. His experience is invaluable to us.

Danns n/a - He was either really quite good or completely irresponsible, depending on whether he should be sent off. Lost the ball in the build up to their goal too. Will wait to see a replay on the red.

Drinkwater 6.5 - Neat and tidy without offering much penetration (woof).

Dyer 9 - Outstanding.

Marshall 8 - Regardless of the deflection, he struck the ball very well for his goal. Some clever touches in midfield. Gallagher must be fuming that he's injured the one time we decide to try and play someone in the hole! Marshall took his chance today.

Nugent 6.5 - Again, not his best game, but made one or two excellent runs.

Beckford 7.5 - Offered very little goal threat today but the rest of his contribution was good. In fact it was the complete opposite to many of his recent performances. Best bit of play came at the end when he latched on to the Kennedy ball over the top and had the presence of mind to pick out Dyer (who sprinted 70 yards to get up with him). I was completely taken aback by that - it showed real presence of mind and an appreciation for his teammates' positions - something we haven't seen much of even in his recent goalscoring run.

Subs:

Bamba 7 - I don't understand how this man retains possession. Must be a brilliant five-a-side player.

Kennedy n/a

Pearson got everything right today.

Agree with you about his performance but trust me, from my vantage point it was a definite red.

Schmeichel 6 should of been out quicker for the goal and some woeful kicking

Peltier 7

Morgan 7

SSL 6 left for dead by Fryatt but recovered and played well after

Konchesky 7

Danns 6 at fault for the goal and stupid tackle to get himself sent off

Drinkwater 8

Dyer 8

Marshall 9 seemed to love this role superb strike

Nugent 6

Beckford 7

Kasper 6

Peltier 8 - thought that Stewart fella was meant to be good. Pelts had him.

St. Ledger 6 - not his best.

Morgan 7.5

Konchesky 7

Danns 7 - decent but a poor tackle.

Drinkwater 7

Dyer 9 - would be a 10 if he actually stayed out wide. Not complicated man. Out wide for about half the game, scores, terrorised wing backs and looked boss. For the other half he stood in the middle and looked lost.

Marshall 8 - good.

Nuge 6 - I couldn't work out what he was meant to do, looked like he couldn't either.

Becks 8.5 - brilliant.

Posted

Kasper - 6 Kicking woeful, needs sorting.

Peltier - 7.5 - Decent game

St Ledger 6 - Looked all over the place first 30 mins, no pace

Morgan 8 - Colossal.

Konchesky 7 - Steady

Dyer 9 - Worked hard, great goal, MOM by a long way.

Danns 7.5 - Was having a good game, my initial reaction was that it wasnt even a foul let alone a card, but footballs gone soft.

Drinkwater 6 - Square pass, backpass, square pass, backpass, and missed a sitter.

Marshall 8.5 - Got stuck in, nice goal, does everything that Gallagher wont.

Nugent 7 - Quieter than usual

Beckford 8 .5 - ran his bollocks off.

Re Schmeichel and his kicking. I thought it looked deliberate to me - last 30 mins anyway.

No apologies from him when he kicked half a dozen out for throw-ins & no reaction from the others. Yes it gives the ball back to the opposition but it's well in their half and takes-up valuble seconds.

His distribution is very erratic. He has shown numerous times that he can kick a ball very well and accurately, yet he doesn't do it on a consistent basis. His throwing is very good, but does he use it enough?

IMO, he doesn't throw too often, he either goes for the quick kick out of his hands or a short roll out to the defenders. However when he does throw it is very accurate.

RE: Marshall, did he actually save that glancing header off the line or did it hit the post and then he cleared it? I couldn't tell from where I was sitting. :/

Morgan- 8 (Dominant)

St Ledger- 7 (Struggled early on but grew as the game went on)

Konchesky- 7 (Typical, solid Konch)

Dyer- 9 (Brilliant. Ran and ran. Always offered an outlet)

Danns- 6 (Not his best)

Drinkwater- 7 (Should've scored, but generally good)

Marshall- 8 (Getting better all the time. Not afraid to shoot)

Nugent- 6 (Stuck out wide for the most part but gave his all)

Beckford- 8 (Not a goal threat but his link up play was excellent)

Posted

Schmeichel 6: Distribution generally poor today, NP was going mental.

Peltier 6.5: Thought he did OK against Stewart to be honest

SSL 6.5: Shaky first 20 mins, improved thereafter

Morgan 7.5: Solid and composed throughout

Konchesky 6: Josh King had him on toast 1st half, often got caught the wrong side. Better 2nd half

Drinkwater 7: Composed on the ball and not afraid to play in tight areas.

Danns 5.5: Thought he was the main man culpable for Hull's goal, we were starting an attack and instead of playing a simple lay off, turned into trouble leaving our defence exposed. Poor tackle for definite red card

Marshall 7: Got a good technique for certain, still flitted in and out but more involved than previously

Nugent 6: Looked a bit lost out wide

Beckford 7.5: Some nice link up play today, especially when we went down to 10

Dyer 9: MOTM, best player on the pitch by a mile.

Bamba 6.5, Kennedy N/A
