We've got 3 good defenders, I hope we keep both and get them to fight for a place in the team. No need to go out and buy yet another defender when they should really be decent enough as 4th and 5th choice.

jock2612 Posted 25 July 2012 Posted 25 July 2012 We seem to be looking after Taft by sending him abroad for experience and he has played in the England youth set up.I think NP believes he can make it.Last time i saw him play for Kettering last season he was good in a side doomed to relegation.His positioning was a bit off and he needed to bulk up,but he had pace and a superb long throw!!! You never know,but i agree Bolger is not up to it,and Parkes is a better left back.

I'd have nightmares if Bolger or Parkes were our back up centre halves. These pair have been playing league football on loan for a few seasons now. Compare them to Liam Moore who looks head and shoulders above the pair who has had just about half a season in the game further goes to prove my point I think. I'm by no means saying these guys are shit. They're league two defenders and we play in the championship hoping to get in the prem. If they prove me wrong i'll hold my hands up, but I just can't see it.

And I've always thought Conrad is an able deputy and better still, happy to be so

If he is "absolutely diabolical" then i'm sure the managers that have been here during his time at the club would have let him go, unless you have a better eye for a player than them? Who would you suggest, that would be happy being number 2?

That isn't saying much is it?, are we pleased that our back up goalie is League 2 standard it really isn't good enough imo.

That game where many thought he was man of the match as without him we'd have lost in double figures. I'd rather we had another, better back up keeper but Conrad will do for now.

He was superb in League 1 for Bristol Rovers. Someone who is good in League 1 is definitely good enough to sit on a Championship bench.
