Fingers crossed on this one.

Also a player I have wanted here for a while, being linked with him in the past I just hoped he would join us but nothing came of it.

If he signs, this will be our best signing of the summer by far, such a quality player who will score a lot of goals.

tho I agree he is a decent player just have a feeling he could well end up playing like Wellens last season.hope I'm wrong and he creates & scores a lot of goals.

I think it's more important that he sets them up.

Believe me, get Koren here and we'll see those slide rule final passes that everyone has been craving.

Very good player.

Get in! Koren is a player I've always wanted here. A midfielder or two must be heading out though, Marshall, King, Danns, Koren, Wellens, Drinkwater, James, Gallagher, Dyer. That is a hell of a lot of players for just midfield

Out of the ones you've listed would be king and Gallagher. It's all speculation currently so I won't hold me breath for this to happen, but would be an excellent signing

I agree about Koren, but I disagree that we have too many midfielders. I think that's about right. We might be using 4-3-3 or 4-5-1 sometimes, when we could need 7 or 8 midfielders (5 starting + 2 or 3 subs) in the matchday squad. Wellens is out for a while and James might be needed to cover at centre half as things stand. A couple more injuries or suspensions, and we might even be short of numbers.

In a 4-5-1 though you're rarely playing 5 midfielders, it's usually 2 wide forwards who drop back.

Would be a good signing though.

I will never understand why people want to get rid of King? He is an absolutely fantastic player and has been by far our best and most consistent midfielder since he came into the side. He might not have had a great season last season, but he was injured for a lot of the time and to be fair, no-one really lived up to expectations last season. He gets assists, he's scored about 30 goals over the past 3 seasons which is a great return from midfield... I don't know what he's got to do to win people over? All people say is that he 'goes missing' during games, which is simply not true. You might not notice him for a while, then out of nowhere he'll make one of those late runs into the box and score or set up a goal. I would be absolutely gutted if we got rid of Kingy.

Talk about exaggerating...

King is not 'an absolutely fantastic player'... He's a player that doesn't consistently get into the Wales team for a start.

King is an intelligent footballer. He instinctively knows when to time his runs into the box. He's also good on the ball.

However, he's very slightly built, he's not particularly quick and he's easily bundled off the ball. I don't care what you say. I've watched King enough to know that if we are controlling a football match, he's useful. If we aren't controlling it and are becoming over run, he DOES go missing. So does Gallagher of course. I don't want to be starting next season relying too heavily on these two players. Millwall away last season encapsulated all this very well. The lightweight midfield was dominated, over run and we lost the game easily.

Both King and Gally are good in a game where we have possession of the ball and are going forward. When we are backs to the wall, they are not the players we need in a scrap. This, for me, was a major problem last season, it can't be allowed to happen again this.

I'd show Wellens, Gallagher and Dyer the door if that was the case, and bring in someone better for the left flank.

StrovolosTiger's view...

It doesn't matter about a release clause in the slightest. If Leicester want him and he wants to go then he will, whether there is a release clause or not. What we have to do is to make him an offer good enough to keep him here.

What happened to, 'we would never accept an offer from Leicester' then? :D

I don't even like the word cringeworthy, but I don't know what else to say. I think, if he was to leave, they really want it to be Reading, or any other club apart from us.

Hopefully Wellens has played his last game for us, Danns will probably be a regular, King, Drinkwater and James will alternate with Koren possibly ahead of them.

i think we forget that its usually about 4 spots on the field, and also with 7 subs, they'll be used. I have to admit that I trust what Nige does transfer wise because for the second half of the season, the 3 signings he made were arguably the best in the team a lot of the time.

Surely if Leicester were to lose a decent player you'd rather he didn't go to a fellow championship club?

Where has that Dull fan gone anyway? Not seen him in a while

With any luck, both Strovolos and Dangerous have both been eaten by Tigers.

But the thing I'm getting at is that they are so anti-Pearson/"he doesn't want to go to Leicester anyway".

As for us loosing a player, not really bothered what team he signs for as long as we get a decent fee. A lot of people said 'why are we selling Peltier to a promotion challenger' but if they are the only club that bids, what can you do? etc

With any luck, both Strovolos and Dangerous have both been eaten by Tigers.

I know he is a bit anti-Pearson, but isn't DangerousTiger a Leicester fan?

Obviously.

But they'd rather he go to any club but us.

We already have bragging rights with Pearson and beating them with 10 men. They'd die of shame if we were to sign their best player for 500k lol

They were mauled.

I've been waiting patiently so this beauty can get another airing, Here's my chance.
