Well technically it would be 1-1-8 as you need a goalkeeper.

You can thank me later

If NP needs advice on what substitutions to make, one look at the team sheet and he'll know who to call.

Toffee Fox on twitter saying there is no 'koren to leic' story.

To get anywhere in this league you need two capable players for every position, and with Wellens out untill October at the earliest I see no problem with adding more quality.

Dont disagree with that philosophy in theory but in practice??. Sven managed to get that amount of cover and look what happened. Cover & competition is one thing but no player wants to warm the bench or even worse not make the match day squad so it wont be long until toys get thrown out the pram. For all the players we had last season both sven and nigel ,by and large ,kept picking the same core team no matter how poor they had played..Koren is a class player and id rather have him than not,,, but it isnt that long ago he snubbed us because he didnt want to come here.

Did he? Or did he just buy loads of centre mids and centre backs and forget about the rest of the positions?

There are actual quotes from Bruce on this one so...kind of hard for the clause thing to be untrue

I'm aware of that... Me thinks you have wrong end of the stick.

Maybe Bruce is making the release clause up in order to avoid the backlash he would recieve for selling him... to us... please.

“@FoxToffee: “@koala1986: @FoxToffee what’s your view on the koren to Leicester story, any chance?†there is no story budâ€

READ TOFFEE FOX - this 'int going to happen - even Nige knows there's no point in buying another central midfielder ! To quote Bert a couple of weeks ago - "there's only likely to be 1 or 2 more signings before the start of the season". I think he had already counted Futacs - and the 2 positions to be filled are left wing / left midfield and centre back - and that's it, no more central midfield and no Koren !

I did consider that he might buy Koren, if he could sell 1 or 2 other midfielders (and I thought King and/or Gallagher were possibilities) - but, on reflection I think there's no way he's going to sell his 'creation' (like Frankenstein !), Andy King - and Gallagher ain't really a midfielder (I think NOBODY knows what Gallager is !).

Gallager is a new position on the pitch, in a formation pioneered at Leicester City by Paul Gallagher and is a roaming right, left, centre mid'forwards position designed to create, make, score and concede goals

I tend to agree with this. As I said yesterday, if Nigel knew about the clause all along, then what has he been waiting for? That suggests to me that he doesn't want him. Either that or he only just found out about the clause, like Bruce did?

Good - I like your assessment of his 'positioning and roaming' abilities - but I think the contribution Gallagher makes to creating/making/scoring goals (other than penalties/free kicks), is overstated and his contribution to conceding goals, is understated !

I agree - if Nige really wanted him, it would have happened before now.

If Koren is available for 500k I'd snap him up in an instant. A creative midfielder who can unlock a defence with a single pass was lacking last season. Koren is a very good player. In the role he plays, better than anything we have at the club.

We have seen Gally for long enough now to know he blows hot and cold. Brilliant one week, weak for the next two or three.

Exactly, so why haven't we?

Maybe Koren doesn't want to join us...

Possible.

Or Pearson doesn't want him, or we only just found out he is available and are now working on it. I can't think of any other reasons?
