For what it's worth, we are apparently close to getting Aluko from rangers. Of course completely different players but I think it makes korens exit a step closer.

Hull fear Robert Koren exit as talk of Leicester move grows

Hull City manager Steve Bruce fears Robert Koren will leave amid mounting speculation he is about to be re-united with Nigel Pearson at Leicester City.

Foxes boss and former Tigers manager Pearson was linked with Koren in January and the 31-year-old midfielder has a buy-out deal in his contract.

Steve BruceHull City manager

"We've opened up negotiations with Robert and we've spoke to his agent," Bruce said. "I hope to keep him.

"But he has a buy-out clause. There's a problem there for us."

Koren is entering the final year of his Tigers contract and the buy-out figure is believed to be £500,000.

And although Bruce had said he was hopeful of keeping Koren, he is now not so confident.

Bruce added: "If a club comes in with the value then we're essentially powerless and that's unfortunate.

"If someone matches that price and he wants to go, then that's that.

To get anywhere in this league you need two capable players for every position, and with Wellens out untill October at the earliest I see no problem with adding more quality.

As Wellens will of missed pre-season, i can then see him being sent out on loan to get some match fitness until at least december....

He was struggling to train last season, so with a bad injury it wouldn't suprise me if we never saw him in a Leicester shirt again.

Reading twitter gets me more and more excited about the possibility of Koren. Hull fans seem to really want to hang on to him, and reckon if he does leave he should go to prem. So if we do manage to get him, sounds very promising.

Sky Sports. Hes a Hull fan.

Ok, cheers. Got confuzed at first but after reading twice I know what he means.

Ahhhh, a good old fashioned "sighting" at the stadium. I miss a good "spotted" rumour.

Of course it will be promising, it would be a massive shock if he comes and he turns out to be shit.

He is one of the best players in the Championship, was class at West Brom was class at Hull, just hoping he is class for us if he comes.

Because he could potentially be our best signing of the summer by far.

Would be immense but I imagine one or two centre miss would depart. Koreans decision may well come down to wages.

Still he can pick a pass and might actually thread a few for Beckford!
