Jaspa Posted 15 June 2012 Posted 15 June 2012 Would be the end of Wellens if this happened Im sure we were linked with him back in the darker days, when he was free agent again, done fantastically well in the last three years after that and is a superb brain to have in the team. I think its unlikely he will come here tho -
kingfox Posted 15 June 2012 Posted 15 June 2012 Will go Blackburn then... But despite him not being the biggest of guys, it will be the defensive midfielder we need, could be quality at this level.
Happy Fox Posted 15 June 2012 Author Posted 15 June 2012 Blackburn are a hardly an attractive proposition at this moment in time.
paddy Agyemang Posted 15 June 2012 Posted 15 June 2012 Please come to us Danny boy. Make him our captain
Steven Posted 15 June 2012 Posted 15 June 2012 Be a good signing but age is a concern He did manage 43 appearances last season.
David Guiza Posted 15 June 2012 Posted 15 June 2012 Would absolutely love this to happen, he would be a country mile ahead of midfields in the championship class wise. Definitely got a couple of years left in him, especially with someone like Danns alongside him. I really can't see him signing for neither us or Blackburn though.
EnderbyFox Posted 15 June 2012 Posted 15 June 2012 He's past his best, which is why I don't think Fulham will offer him a new contract, especially now they've got Diarra He'd still boss the championship though, top player. EDIT: My phone attempted to auto-correct Diarra into Diarrhea, how humorous.
Dan Posted 16 June 2012 Posted 16 June 2012 Doubt it, definitely got the talent but will he have the hunger/drive? Not a Pearson-like signing so for that I won't believe it until it happens.
ealingfox Posted 16 June 2012 Posted 16 June 2012 We have to go for this. Would be a very good signing.
leicesterisme Posted 16 June 2012 Posted 16 June 2012 Would absolutely love this, make it happen Nige! In all seriousness though I can still see him signing for a prem club.
ronnup Posted 16 June 2012 Posted 16 June 2012 Would be the biggest signing since..... Er..... When wa the last time we bought someone really good?
Fox92 Posted 16 June 2012 Posted 16 June 2012 I would love it, love it, if Danny Murphy signed for Leicester. Would be quality, still looked good on the ball for Fulham.
Happy Fox Posted 16 June 2012 Author Posted 16 June 2012 http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/9765613.Rovers_plot_ambitious_move_for_Murphy/ BLACKBURN Rovers boss Steve Kean is lining up an ambitious move for veteran midfielder Danny Murphy as he looks to kick start their Champ-ionship preparations. The 35-year-old midfielder is out of contract at Premier League Fulham this summer and Kean will look to tempt Murphy to Ewood with a two-year deal. A host of clubs, from the Premier League and Cham-pionship are understood to be interested in Murphy, but few are so far prepared to offer him two years. Sources close to Murphy have suggested the player would prefer to stay in the Premier League, with a new one year Fulham deal still a possibility, but the extra security of another year could persuade him to a drop down a level in East Lancashire. Kean knows Murphy well having worked with him at Fulham and would see the former Liverpool, Spurs and Tottenham midfielder as the ‘experienced’ player the club lacked last campaign. The under fire Rovers boss has already stated he is looking to add more experience this campaign, to compliment the club’s promising youngsters. Sources close to the player have indicated the enquiries are at an early stage, with most of the staff at Ewood Park still in the dark about next season. Kean’s efforts to bolster his squad won’t be helped by the uncertainty that still exists around Ewood Park, with owners Venky’s yet to communicate their plans .
Mark_w Posted 16 June 2012 Posted 16 June 2012 This is just another 'Lets tag Leicester to the end of the story because they're rich' deal. I highly doubt he'll end up here.
Burmesefox Posted 16 June 2012 Posted 16 June 2012 doubt it will happen but maybe Konch can have a word with him
Guest shearfox Posted 16 June 2012 Posted 16 June 2012 This would be a top signing, always rated him and at this level he would be one of the best midfielders in the division.
dog_4 Posted 16 June 2012 Posted 16 June 2012 he wouldn't come to a club that paid yakubu the same wages has Gareth Bale! we're not big enough
