sbfox Posted 13 January 2013 Posted 13 January 2013 Liverpool fans proving why smoke bombs are complete w***.
Guest shearfox Posted 13 January 2013 Posted 13 January 2013 A real poachers goal from Sturridge there, got Liverpool back into this one...
Danizen Posted 13 January 2013 Posted 13 January 2013 Urrgh! Playing, 'Glory Glory Man United!' over the tannoy. Embarrassing. Almost as bad as butchering 'Country Road' and trying to adopt it as an anthem. Hate, arrogant, blinkered Yaanited fans.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 13 January 2013 Posted 13 January 2013 Yeah because their only been singing glory glory man utd for 2 years. Country/United roads ? Who else sings that ? Utd hardcore support is the best in the country. Bring on the sunderland and arsenal bring on the scouser by tge score. We stole that from Utd.
Danizen Posted 13 January 2013 Posted 13 January 2013 I know they've sung it for years, I was saying it was shit playing it over the tannoy. Who do you actually support?
Hugo Sanchez Posted 13 January 2013 Posted 13 January 2013 better then playing black eyed peas or all together now. Atleast its their own.
Jimothy Posted 13 January 2013 Posted 13 January 2013 For a minute then I thought Szczesny or Tevez had got sent off, but great call by Mike Dean sending Koscielny off. But how the hell did that penalty not go in!!!!!
lcfcsnow Posted 13 January 2013 Posted 13 January 2013 Just give a penalty for god sake, game pretty much ruined because the refs gave two punishments for one offence.
Jimothy Posted 13 January 2013 Posted 13 January 2013 Just give a penalty for god sake, game pretty much ruined because the refs gave two punishments for one offence. Yeah but it's in the rules. Koscielny had to go. Dean would get a right bollocking for not sending him off there. I do agree it shouldn't be a red, but at the minute the laws state it is, so he has to go.
Danizen Posted 13 January 2013 Posted 13 January 2013 Just give a penalty for god sake, game pretty much ruined because the refs gave two punishments for one offence. It was pretty cynical by Koscielny, he knew exactly what he was doing. I'd rather have the odd game ruined by an early red than have widespread professional fouls denying goalscoring oppurtunities.
Kitchandro Posted 13 January 2013 Posted 13 January 2013 Just give a penalty for god sake, game pretty much ruined because the refs gave two punishments for one offence. Firstly, that's the rules, why are you blaming the ref when he has no choice? Secondly - that instance is a great example why giving the penalty isn't enough. If defenders knew they could deny a great goalscoring opportunity and give the goalkeeper a better chance to save it, and still stay on the pitch, why wouldn't they do it? The sending off is a deterrent to players who think 'he's going to score, I better rugby tackle him/hack him'. Thirdly, what makes you say it's ruined the game? It's still level, the crowd are even more up for it, and there's no guarantee Man City will win.
I am Rod Hull Posted 13 January 2013 Posted 13 January 2013 Tasty finish from Milner. who missed a peno Man city? typical. No harm done, that bet you had is in the bag
whoareyaaa Posted 13 January 2013 Posted 13 January 2013 Tasty finish from Milner. No harm done, that bet you had is in the bag not yet plenty of time to **** me up.
whoareyaaa Posted 13 January 2013 Posted 13 January 2013 scrap that I think its in the bag now. 2-0 10men, sweet!
I am Rod Hull Posted 13 January 2013 Posted 13 January 2013 not yet plenty of time to **** me up. 2-0 mate, game over

Exactly, Niall Quinn's doing my head in saying he didn't need to send him off when it was clear Dzeko would have had a tap in if he hadn't of scored. On Quinn, how the hell is this guy employed by Sky? He seems completely clueless about the game and ruins the enjoyment of every match he co-commentates on as I constantly end up shouting at the tv like a madman
Corky Posted 13 January 2013 Posted 13 January 2013 Definite red, Koscielny had both arms round Dzeko and had no intention of playing the ball. It was a goalscoring opportunity and the referee would've been criticised by his assessor had he not shown the red card.
anotherharboroughfox Posted 13 January 2013 Posted 13 January 2013 Kompany's red was very harsh wasn't even two footed.
AKCJ Posted 13 January 2013 Posted 13 January 2013 Not a red card in a million years. He gets the ball with one foot.
Guest ttfn Posted 13 January 2013 Posted 13 January 2013 Not a red card in a million years. He gets the ball with one foot. I think the problem is that once you leave the ground, your whole body weight is transmitted into the challenge, whether contact is made with one foot or two. That would seem to constitute excessive force.
