Jimothy Posted 2 January 2013 Posted 2 January 2013 Newcastle in right trouble after that result! With Demba Ba going aswell doesn't help them. I think it does help them a little. Cisse and Ba never worked well together but Pardew persisted with them. Now he only has one to deploy I think the'll be a better team. Cisse has goals his him when he plays down the middle so they won't miss out, but will be a more effective team as a whole.

But if Cisse picks up an injury and they don't replace Ba then they will have a few problems.
Jimothy Posted 2 January 2013 Posted 2 January 2013 But if Cisse picks up an injury and they don't replace Ba then they will have a few problems. True, but that can be said for a few teams. Anyway they still have Ameobi
Corky Posted 2 January 2013 Posted 2 January 2013 Marin's challenge was a shocker, should've been red.
Jimothy Posted 2 January 2013 Posted 2 January 2013 Anyone spot Steve Guppy on MotD then?! On the Sunderland bench? He's coach there I think.
Guest MattP Posted 3 January 2013 Posted 3 January 2013 Am I the only one who thinks Ba will be shit at Chelsea? Newcastle play a system that makes strikers look better than they are, Carroll was a prime example and it doesnt take a lot to work out how a squad with Ba, Cisse, Ameobi, Ranger as the strikers intends to play it's football. At Chelsea he'll be expected to link up and play intricite one-two's around the box with the Oscars. Hazards and Mata's etc and I've seen nothing from him so far to say his touch or passing ability is anything like the standard of those, unless the completely change the way they played back to how it was with Drogba up front I'm calling it that he will seriously struggle.
Fox92 Posted 3 January 2013 Posted 3 January 2013 Also it could be very important for leicester to go up this year with QPR, Sunderland, Villa or possibly Newcastle come down then. Without doubt them teams would be near the top of the championship. You can say this every year though. When we made the play offs, we had Middlesbrough and two excellent squads in West Brom and Newcaatle to deal with. Anyone spot Steve Guppy on MotD then?! Yeah, he is a coach at Sunderland with Martin. Leighton baines. Different gravy. Agree. I like Baines, top player. His set piece taking is excellent.

Newcastle have got the best out of him, can't see him being as prolific at Chelsea.
Uncle Phil Posted 3 January 2013 Posted 3 January 2013 Mancini and Balotelli have handbags at training http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20901006
Leicesterpool Posted 3 January 2013 Posted 3 January 2013 I think that's the end of Balotelli's time at Man City, he'll return to Italy.
AyewJoking Posted 3 January 2013 Posted 3 January 2013 Newcastle have got the best out of him, can't see him being as prolific at Chelsea. Is it a Benitez or Abramovic signing?
Corky Posted 3 January 2013 Posted 3 January 2013 Is it a Benitez or Abramovic signing? I can't see Benitez staying beyond the summer, so I doubt any would be his signings alone.

A big man option up top, like Drogba? Except obviously not in the same league as Drogba was

FoxyPV Posted 4 January 2013 Posted 4 January 2013 'arry must be having a stroke or something... TAL BEN HAIM ****IN lol lol Ben Haim has been relegated every season for the past three years. I hope he makes it four in four.
StanSP Posted 4 January 2013 Posted 4 January 2013 Ben Haim has been relegated every season for the past three years. I hope he makes it four in four. Might as well go and sign Nigel Quashie!
Tom17LCFC Posted 4 January 2013 Posted 4 January 2013 Fergie urges football authorities to investigate Zeki Fryers' move from Liege to Spurs I remember something about Spurs after him in the summer but he went to Liege, and now 5 months later he's heading to WHL. EDIT: Fergie - "It's a blatant manipulation of the rules. It has Daniel Levy's fingerprints all over it" lol

StanSP Posted 4 January 2013 Posted 4 January 2013 What's Fergie getting so uptight about? Spurs have done nothing wrong? Fryers left Utd to go to a different club. So what if Spurs didn't want to pay what they would have though was an extortionate fee back then in August? Now they've signed him for less? It's just clever by Spurs. What can the league look in to?!
