I am Rod Hull Posted 1 August 2012 Posted 1 August 2012 After hearing that wind boarding is to be added to the next games, I wondered what sports you`d like to see added or kicked. I`d add 5 aside footie.
I am Rod Hull Posted 1 August 2012 Author Posted 1 August 2012 T20 cricket. Rugby Sevens. Snooker. Venues for T20 could be a bit of a problem for some countries. I thought of rugby sevens when I made the post, it would be easy to sort out.
leicesterisme Posted 1 August 2012 Posted 1 August 2012 Rugby sevens is going to be in the next Olympics isn't it?
Jaspa Posted 1 August 2012 Posted 1 August 2012 Out - Ping Pong in - Free Running Theres a few, but I cant think of many atm
Haydos Posted 1 August 2012 Posted 1 August 2012 Rugby Sevens 20Twenty Paintball (for larrrrfs) Seems like swimming should get a crazy new stroke as well. People saying darts and snooker can do one. I'm don't even like the fact that horses are in it. These aren't sports.
definitely not finners Posted 1 August 2012 Posted 1 August 2012 Out: Rugby, football, tennis, basketball and any sport I've missed whose pinnacle is not and never will be the Olympics. The Olympics doesn't need these side-shows and it shouldn't have them swaggering around taking a glint off of the magic of the height of athletic achievement. I love international football and I love rugby sevens, they're two of my favourite things to watch, but I can already see the finest of the sport compete at the World Cup or on the IRB Sevens circuit. Olympic football is just a novelty for youth internationals and a pre-season distraction that countless professional coaches and managers consider more of a disruption than anything else. It doesn't really mean anything to the competitors, not like the 100m finals will mean to Usain Bolt or the keirin and sprints do to Hoy and co.
Hollism Posted 1 August 2012 Posted 1 August 2012 Football should be removed. I love football as much as anyone but let's be honest, we have enough of it.
Webbo Posted 1 August 2012 Posted 1 August 2012 As far as I know there isn't a basketball world cup so that's probably permissible but I agree about football and tennis.
Fox in the North Posted 1 August 2012 Posted 1 August 2012 Rugby sevens and squash. And add bombing to diving

Leicesterpool Posted 1 August 2012 Posted 1 August 2012 cricket for certain, female topless pole dancing, rugby. sports to rid- equestrian, golf (coming back in brazil sadly!)
Captain... Posted 1 August 2012 Posted 1 August 2012 For development of the great game 2020 cricket, I think we need to get rid of football and some of the other sports that are just weird and confusing, such as fencing, and judo, why judo and not karate? Or kung fu? Another sport that deserves to be there is squash, why ping pong, badminton, tennis, but not squash, there is talking of some of the Spanish paddle sports being included but they are played almost exclusively in Iberia.
