AKCJ Posted 2 August 2012 Posted 2 August 2012 Do we have any news? Hope it isn't too bad for the lad. Although he's not (IMO ) better than Whitbread or Morgan we'll need him for cover. Especially considering Whitbread's injury record.
kingfox Posted 2 August 2012 Posted 2 August 2012 Sean St Ledgerâ€@seanstledger12 Just found the results to the scan I'm Having a beautiful baby boy! Thought he was putting on weight, going by the pic on the website last night.

kingfox Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Leicester Cityâ€@OfficialFOXES City defender Sean St. Ledger out for six to eight weeks with a knee injury. More to follow...
Fox92 Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Oh no. Not happy with that. Injury probably pushed the Gerrard bid forward as well.

LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Well we have De Laet, Morgan, Moore and Whitbread! Gutted though
m00nie Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 Well we have De Laet, Morgan, Moore and Whitbread! Gutted though Well we have De Laet, Morgan, Moore and Whitbread! Gutted though 4 defenders for 3 positions dont sound too good
gingerlcfc Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 think we make get a defender on loan some one like hutchington from chelsea
ta-fc Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 .... Leaves us VERY short at the back considering Whitbread only averages 17 games a season!
Lambert09 Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 A loan would be fine, a signing will cause unrest in the camp yet again. Peltier and james can also play there if the need be. Don't panic
dakin_fox Posted 3 August 2012 Posted 3 August 2012 we could do with a loan although i would prefer a permanent deal as even before this injury we needed a center back
Dickov22 Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 Might be in the minority here but I'm not convinced by SSL. Doesn't win enough aerial challenges and seems to be messing around most of the time. Another of the expensive Sven era that we will offload IMO.
ozleicester Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 .... Leaves us VERY short at the back considering Whitbread only averages 17 games a season! as long as it the first 17... we should be fine
flowwolf Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 Don't think we will miss him much. He wasn't first choice last season he's just not good enough.
cuddly ken Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 Don't think we will miss him much. He wasn't first choice last season he's just not good enough. What a pleb you are! Another brain cell and you'd be a plant! You don't half sprout some crap! Get a life!

dpjfox Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 if hes not good enough for this league he would not have gone to the Euros ( we wont realise how steady a defender he is till hes injured and missing from the squad)
hackneyfox Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 NFP has fooked up here by getting rid of 4 defenders before any replacements were brought in. Every team niw knows we are short and will charge accordingly. if hes not good enough for this league he would not have gone to the Euros ( we wont realise how steady a defender he is till hes injured and missing from the squad) He played for Ireland ffs, just how many choices did they have?
Happy Fox Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 NFP has fooked up here by getting rid of 4 defenders before any replacements were brought in. Every team niw knows we are short and will charge accordingly. You mean 2 CB's right he has replaced one with Whitbread and the other will come whether that is permanent or loan, nothing to worry about, more concerned about the centre of the midfield than defense.
hackneyfox Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 Whitbread will not be fit for the start of the season, nor will SSL so that leaves us with ..... Agree about the midfield, seems to be full of very average players, not sure who will break up the opposition. We have a strike force that seriously underwhelms me as well. Never felt so down before a season starts and that goes back to 1977.
Babylon Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 NFP has fooked up here by getting rid of 4 defenders before any replacements were brought in. When you have to sell before you can buy that's generally how it works.

Daggers Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 Oh no, can it really be St Ledger's got an injury We'll be demoted to Division 3 It's the end of the world for me.
Fox92 Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 Might be in the minority here but I'm not convinced by SSL. Doesn't win enough aerial challenges and seems to be messing around most of the time. Another of the expensive Sven era that we will offload IMO. His aerial battle against Darius Henderson (which resulted in a Millwall goal) always gets highlighted on here. Thing is, Darius Henderson would beat most defenders in the air. St Ledger has a decent leap although he isn't dominating in the air. He is technical and can play the ball out of defence if/when required. St Ledger was capable enough during his time at Preston, which is when Preston were a good side in this divison and St Ledger was a solid centre half at this level. Also, he was good enough to attract a call up from Republic of Ireland but they sadly played three of the better teams in Europe, although St Ledger did manage to score. I think he is one of Sven's better signings and I think he can be good for us. He certainly isn't a bad player, I rate him anyway.
