Dreaded 'vote of confidence'

I really am suprised the amount of people on here who don't know what a vote of confidence is or means, especially as Sosa, Holloway, and pretty much ever manager Mandaric sacked got one.

A dreaded vote of confidence is if you are backing the manager in public to try and get fans on side so they won't give the owners grief, when in reality you are on the verge of sacking him, it is quite a common trait the fact that many of you have fallen for the trap is quite worrying

Oh **** OFF the lot of you. We're second in the league for ****'s sake.

If we'd lost 5 on the trot and the owners came out with a vote of confidence, then maybe they'd be gearing up to sack him but why would they sack a manager who has won 4 on the spin and has us in the automatic promotion places?

Absolute ****ing madness on here lately, you bunch of absolute ****ING ******.

I don't think this reads like a vote of confidence, and assuming they do want to close off the speculation there's not a great deal else they could have done. Glad the club have come out with this and hopefully will eventually lead to kudos for both the thais.

Pipe down dick head I'm not saying that is a vote of confidence I am saying I am suprised at the amount of people on here who seem to be completley unaware of what one is.

EDIT: And the other two posts you've quoted are clearly having a joke hence the smilies at the end.

Apart from throwing money about like a drunken Scots man and being naive what have the owners done for some fans to distrust them?

Spoken to Redknapp beyhind Nigels back.

I'm not sure people don't know what one is. I certainly do. However they just think that our situation is different to most of the other situations in which one would be issued.

Normally a vote of confidence is only issued when a team/manager is struggling and everybody starts speculating of whether the manager will be sacked. For example if QPR or Southampton released one from where they sit in the league, that could be seen as the dreaded vote of confidence.

What makes our situation different is the fact the we are sitting 2nd in the league, and have had the best start in 10 years. Not to mention playing some of the best football we have played during that time as well.

That is the reason people don't think this looks like a standard vote of confidence, not because they don't know what one is.

So you're just bring a condescending dick head then. You're superiority complex is getting a bit boring now.

...........

As far as this whole situation is concerned we should just move on and get behind nigel. After all this speculation was created by a second class journalist working for a ridiculously poor paper. And the owners it seems have been forced to comment on this due to the response from fans.

Without any evidence best to trust then owners rather than the mail but I understand there will always be the smoke without fire feeling about the whole thing.

According to WHO ? The media ? Sightings in Morrison's ? My mates dog who has licked someone's arse ? Or a source at the Club?

To quote

"We fully accept the football club is constantly in the public eye and, as such, will be a constant subject of media scrutiny and debate.

"For that reason, we adopt a policy in which we do not feel compelled to respond to a media agenda.

"However, given the recent unwarranted and inaccurate speculation in relation to our manager, we wish to set the record straight in the most unequivocal manner."

Dont you understand what this means ? or shall we just ignore it as it was not first posted on Tawtter ?

Can we not judge the owners on what they do and say and not by what others claim ?

I AM judging them by what they have done.

They give the manager money to spend and they are suddenly trustworthy?

How does that work?

Make no mistake, though. I am big supporters of them being here. Never said anything else.

But they are buisnessmen primarily and have an investment to protect.

There are quite a lot of people saying they wanted the Thais to release a statement of support as it would then be impossible to sack Pearson as they would look stupid sacking someone after they had released a statement of support, these people must not be familar with the concept.

The conspiracy theorist will never go away, they can't help themselves.

At Leicester we have a great set up, a manager who wants to do well for Leicester City, the best squad in a decade, a comfortable if sterile stadium and owners who seem willing to invest in the future of Leicester City.

Rather than looking for something to fail, why not back the side, back the manager and applaud our owners.

Throwing money about like a drunken Scots man ? Never in the history of money has any Scots man thrown money about drunk or other wise. :source:

I actually don't think we will win now after this. I kind of liked the Pearson under pressure. maybe now will be a bit complacent.

The beauty of Pearson is he means what he says, all of the time.

He won't get complacent, his character is absolutely exemplary IMO.

As for the statement. Still not convinced myself, still got it on very good authority they spoke to Redknapp but hope for once my source is wrong. I'm glad they've made this statement and it's quite a strong one too, but I'm still extremely cautious about these owners and I have been ever since I saw our funding was one big loan.

Throwing money about that we'll have to pay back at an even bigger rate eventually, and being naive in itself surely? lol

I think these owners are nowhere near as good as I once hoped they were going to be.

Fair enough. To me this statement doesn't mean that if we suddenly fall towards the bottom of the league having completely lost the plot on the pitch, he would still be safe. It just means that right now, and as long as things keep going well, he will be fine. That's all I wanted to know.

Didn't Stringer's agent say on the boot room last night than he knows Redknapp's agent and he told him Redknapp and our owners had a meeting a couple of weeks ago?

Maybe I misheard or dreamt it - suprised it isn't being mentioned on here
