Monk Posted 24 October 2012 Share Posted 24 October 2012 Good, hopefully he'll beat Fryatt's record soon. Deserves it - he has been an awesome player for the club and loyal through the bad times.

fleckneymike Posted 24 October 2012 Share Posted 24 October 2012 Don't think Sven knew how to work him either. He did score 15 goals the season Sven and Sousa were in charge.
lcfcsnow Posted 24 October 2012 Share Posted 24 October 2012 That finish at Cov a few years ago was sublime, I'd love to see that again.
Bugg Posted 24 October 2012 Share Posted 24 October 2012 That finish at Cov a few years ago was sublime, I'd love to see that again. I'm sure he scored a ridiculous chip against Barnsley as well, he really is capable of some fantastic goals.

Quality goal, no idea how he managed to get it over a standing keeper and back down again from that close.
Corky Posted 24 October 2012 Share Posted 24 October 2012 Brilliant finisher and excellent defender before, but now he's added a presence in the middle, in no small part to Drinkwater playing next to him. It's obvious that now we are playing the ball on the floor the centre midfield looks more involved.
RumbleFox Posted 24 October 2012 Share Posted 24 October 2012 The best player we have. A genuine class act. We love you Andy. Stay with us. X

dmayne7 Posted 25 October 2012 Share Posted 25 October 2012 This is where opinion doesn't matter. King is a class act. If he can continue to develop then the skys the limit for him. Last season was his worst and he was still decent. People who doubted him just have no footballing brain. He is so accomplished in what he does; comfortable in attack and defence, always plays t his strengths, keeps it simple but has that touch of class when needed. Most important and valued asset since the MON days IMO.

Bert Posted 25 October 2012 Share Posted 25 October 2012 We regard Muzzy, Heskey and Lineker as legends of the club. Once King has passed their milestones do we call Kingy a legend of the club?

Captain... Posted 25 October 2012 Share Posted 25 October 2012 We regard Muzzy, Heskey and Lineker as legends of the club. Once King has passed their milestones do we call Kingy a legend of the club? He is the closest we have come to a legend (ignoring the long serving Logan) since those days, another 5 years and 50 goals, and I'd say he is pretty much there. Langston Posted 25 October 2012 Share Posted 25 October 2012 King's almost definitely benefitted from playing alongside Drinkwater, I can't remember the last time we had a pair of central midfielders look so in sync with each other. They're only slight figures but they win possession and dictate play superbly. It's fantastic to watch us play such exciting football in a league often chastised as brutal and physical. Langston Posted 25 October 2012 Share Posted 25 October 2012 The peach against Scunthorpe at Glanford Park to send us top of League One to never look back is the one that sticks out for me.
Mark_w Posted 25 October 2012 Share Posted 25 October 2012 He's been great for us, got a lot of criticism on here before the new season when really he has only had one bad year, last year, which was a result of injuries. He's come back in and looks really confident again, think he could be a crucial player for us for years to come.
Babylon Posted 25 October 2012 Share Posted 25 October 2012 Was never 100% sold on the lad if I'm perfectly honest, but he seems to have added something extra to his game this year as well as linking up with DD brilliantly.
