Andy king 50 or 49 or 46 career goals

Recommended Posts

I'm sure he scored a ridiculous chip against Barnsley as well, he really is capable of some fantastic goals.

Quality goal, no idea how he managed to get it over a standing keeper and back down again from that close.

Brilliant finisher and excellent defender before, but now he's added a presence in the middle, in no small part to Drinkwater playing next to him.

It's obvious that now we are playing the ball on the floor the centre midfield looks more involved.

This is where opinion doesn't matter. King is a class act. If he can continue to develop then the skys the limit for him. Last season was his worst and he was still decent. People who doubted him just have no footballing brain. He is so accomplished in what he does; comfortable in attack and defence, always plays t his strengths, keeps it simple but has that touch of class when needed. Most important and valued asset since the MON days IMO.

We regard Muzzy, Heskey and Lineker as legends of the club. Once King has passed their milestones do we call Kingy a legend of the club?

He is the closest we have come to a legend (ignoring the long serving Logan) since those days, another 5 years and 50 goals, and I'd say he is pretty much there.

King's almost definitely benefitted from playing alongside Drinkwater, I can't remember the last time we had a pair of central midfielders look so in sync with each other. They're only slight figures but they win possession and dictate play superbly.

It's fantastic to watch us play such exciting football in a league often chastised as brutal and physical.

He's been great for us, got a lot of criticism on here before the new season when really he has only had one bad year, last year, which was a result of injuries. He's come back in and looks really confident again, think he could be a crucial player for us for years to come.
