Guest Col city fan Posted 13 November 2012 Posted 13 November 2012 One of the best things on tv IMO. Is Carl actually like that? Or is he an amazing actor?
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 13 November 2012 Posted 13 November 2012 Can't wait for this, unlike any other show and Pilky is a brilliant comic mind - whether he means to be or not!
sdb Posted 13 November 2012 Posted 13 November 2012 Gervais' stuff has definitely gotten worse and worse, but the bits of this i've seen have been ok actually. Assuming they're on the web somewhere to watch...? A link would be sweet if so, i'm dead bored.
purpleronnie Posted 13 November 2012 Posted 13 November 2012 If you listen to the early days of XFM when he was a producer its clear thats how he is, but I'm sure he now plays up to the part...he'd have to, on the raio he would be questioned about certain subjects and you (well gervais) could manipulate him into saying something stupid, TV is different its much more controlled so he'd have to be an idiot on cue....having said that I'm sure there are genuine times in the show where he just says idiotic things.
VinceNoir Posted 13 November 2012 Posted 13 November 2012 One of the best things on tv IMO. Is Carl actually like that? Or is he an amazing actor? I think he is like that, but it seemed far more real in the early XFM years when he was introduced, but now it seems as if he and Ricky are massaging their egos a bit, in my opinion. That 'Learn English with Ricky Gervais' thing was absolutely abysmal. Having said that, I'll probably still watch the new series of this.
stix Posted 13 November 2012 Posted 13 November 2012 Man Moth!? lol lol lol lol The single best conversation i have ever heard.
21st Century Fox Posted 13 November 2012 Posted 13 November 2012 "There was a fella outside our house who hit a lamp post, he had a helmet on but his head come off".
stix Posted 13 November 2012 Posted 13 November 2012 "There was a fella outside our house who hit a lamp post, he had a helmet on but his head come off". lol Its the way Gervais re-tells that one that has me in stiches.
