cjslcfc Posted 29 December 2012 Share Posted 29 December 2012 Can't see a permanent deal being the case at the end of it. Can certainly see the loan deal being possible though. Not getting any game time for Utd, is young, needs the experience and we all know Pearson seems to have links with Utd! Would be a masterstroke by Pearson and Walsh i'd say. Through this, Wood and Baptiste (should all 3 occur) we would have strengthened the core of the team perfectly. I like how we are going about business

Babylon Posted 29 December 2012 Share Posted 29 December 2012 How many morons there are on twitter now stating as fact we've signed Baptiste and Powell. Do people not understand the difference between rumour and fact.

CosbehFox Posted 29 December 2012 Share Posted 29 December 2012 That's incorrect. Creative midfielder. Played both positions. As he developed Crewe found him wasted a bit as a centre forward.
kingfox Posted 29 December 2012 Share Posted 29 December 2012 Andrew Kilduff â€@TuftyMUFC Looks like Nick Powell is set for a January loan move, possibly to Leicester. Macheda set for a January exit. #mufc He is from the supporters trust and has over 5,000 followers.
Libertine Dream Posted 29 December 2012 Share Posted 29 December 2012 Powell didn't look great when the U21s were at Hinckley but its not fair to judge him on that especially as only two players on the pitch looked to be professional footballers, that Petrucci lad looks good
theboxman1986 Posted 29 December 2012 Share Posted 29 December 2012 https://twitter.com/StringerSport Talk of Nick Powell on loan from Man Utd to #lcfc nothing concrete. Rarely get much warning of a #mufc signing but Pearson likes Utd loanees
Mark_w Posted 29 December 2012 Share Posted 29 December 2012 I'd be surprised if they were eager to loan us Powell, we've hardly used the two we've got.

Libertine Dream Posted 29 December 2012 Share Posted 29 December 2012 I'd be surprised if they were eager to loan us Powell, we've hardly used the two we've got. But ourselves and Pearson have got plenty of history with Utd players
sdb Posted 29 December 2012 Share Posted 29 December 2012 Can you have 3 loan players from the same club at one time? I know there are restrictions, not sure what exactly.
Mark_w Posted 29 December 2012 Share Posted 29 December 2012 Can you have 3 loan players from the same club at one time? I know there are restrictions, not sure what exactly. Watford have got about ten from Udinese, so I doubt there are, unless they only apply domestically.

Raw Dykes Posted 29 December 2012 Share Posted 29 December 2012 Watford have got about ten from Udinese, so I doubt there are, unless they only apply domestically. I think you're right - I think there are different rules for domestic loans.

sphericalfox Posted 30 December 2012 Share Posted 30 December 2012 Watford have got about ten from Udinese, so I doubt there are, unless they only apply domestically. Udinese is owned by the same fella who owns Watford, therefore, I'm not sure if the same loan rule applies. Though happy to be corrected. I've not implemented this theory in a virtual FM format. Happy Fox Posted 30 December 2012 Share Posted 30 December 2012 Lingard isn't ready at this level, with Powell he has experience of League 2 football but having said that he looked a class above his opponents I think he made the transition to early to the prem, so a loan spell in the championship could benefit him. Well I hope no pressure from man u is put on pearson to play either of them they are just not good enough for a place in a side seeking promotion.
