dmayne7 Posted 29 December 2012 Posted 29 December 2012 He played center forward at Crewe. If you mean as a number 10, in the hole then yep he did at times. Mostly used as an attacking midfielder
dmayne7 Posted 29 December 2012 Posted 29 December 2012 Yeah very much like Andy King, dare I say with more ability? Not really the same type of player. Powell is more of a creative, flair midfielder with the ability to do the spectacular whereas Kingy is a complete midfielder, box to box style.
kingfox Posted 29 December 2012 Posted 29 December 2012 its Joe_LCFC on twitter Yeah the lad that said Wood would be having a medical Thursday, and his Dad's mates Dad or something drinks with Birch. I said he was chatting shit, yet he was right about the medical. So who knows, would be a good loan signing if true though.
AKCJ Posted 29 December 2012 Posted 29 December 2012 Nick Powell is thenext Frank Lampard. They're so similar.
Milton Keynes Fox Posted 29 December 2012 Posted 29 December 2012 "Man utd confirm #lcfc will sign nick Powell on loan with view to signing him in the summer."
GLC Posted 29 December 2012 Posted 29 December 2012 Why would they let us sign him in the summer!? He's one og the best prospects in england atm!
azaa holland Posted 29 December 2012 Posted 29 December 2012 According to sources on twitter Nick Powell will join lcfc on loan with a view to a permanent deal
Adster Posted 29 December 2012 Posted 29 December 2012 According to sources on twitter Nick Powell will join lcfc on loan with a view to a permanent deal .
dbt_lcfc Posted 29 December 2012 Posted 29 December 2012 I could see this happening on loan..... no chance of a permanent deal though
Babylon Posted 29 December 2012 Posted 29 December 2012 I just can't see it, the lad has been utter quality when I have seen him. I don't often remember players performances but he really stood out.
kingfox Posted 29 December 2012 Posted 29 December 2012 According to sources on twitter Nick Powell will join lcfc on loan with a view to a permanent deal If that came out on the 21st and you asked me to bet on whether the World would end or Nick Powell signing for Leicester on a permanent deal, I would of betted that the World would end.
Soar Fox Posted 29 December 2012 Posted 29 December 2012 Could see a loan until the end of the season, but there's no chance of a permanent deal in my opinion.
Tielemans63 Posted 29 December 2012 Posted 29 December 2012 Could see a loan until the end of the season, but there's no chance of a permanent deal in my opinion. Exactly what I was going to post. He's highly rated at United. TBH I would've thought he'd be more likely to be loaned to a Prem club - someone like Wigan maybe.
GingerrrFox Posted 29 December 2012 Posted 29 December 2012 There is more chance of me smashing Victoria Beckham, Kim Kardashian and Kate Upton in an orgy than there is of us signing Nick Powell on a permanent deal!
Happy Fox Posted 29 December 2012 Posted 29 December 2012 Michael Melbourne â€@MickMelbourne @StringerSport Ian, just been informed that we are approaching Man U about nick Powell on loan for the rest of the season. Wot about trotter Details Reply Retweet Favorite 5:25 AM - 29 Dec 12 · Details Follow Ian Stringerâ€@StringerSport @MickMelbourne yeh heard that elsewhere as well actually. Interesting
FrankieADZ Posted 29 December 2012 Posted 29 December 2012 a permanent deal for Powell.....not a chance imo. Loan would be possible,
deep blue Posted 29 December 2012 Posted 29 December 2012 He played center forward at Crewe. That's incorrect. Creative midfielder.
Babylon Posted 29 December 2012 Posted 29 December 2012 The lads sheer quality, would be chuffed with that. Quite a big lad as well isn't he? Must be 6ft plus. Would still be amazed if it happened.
Unabomber Posted 29 December 2012 Posted 29 December 2012 The lads sheer quality, would be chuffed with that. Quite a big lad as well isn't he? Must be 6ft plus. Would still be amazed if it happened. Why? He is not getting any match time at man u and Pearson ha a track record of getting promising youngsters on loan from them.

A loan maybe likely, ain't even been on the bench for Man Utd in recent weeks. If true though, it would be absolutely fantastic, a spunk worthy signing.
Ross-Kemp Posted 29 December 2012 Posted 29 December 2012 It's down to him. My source is the same person that told me about Sven, Yakubu & Vardy.
Babylon Posted 29 December 2012 Posted 29 December 2012 Why? He is not getting any match time at man u and Pearson ha a track record of getting promising youngsters on loan from them. Purely on the basis that I think better teams than us would be interested.
pazzerfox Posted 29 December 2012 Posted 29 December 2012 He's 23 so he needs to be playing games. It's not like he is 18/19. Good chance to get him IMO.
