The Year Of The Fox Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 Came back from Venice a couple of weeks ago. Lovely place which didn't smell either. Though I'm not interested in museums, architecture and churches so I personally thought a couple of days there was ample for me.
Soar Fox Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 Just got back from Magaluf today. Missed my flight this morning after going back to some girls hotel last night and didn't take my phone out with me for my friends to contact me. Had to pay €170 for a monarch flight home, €40 for a taxi to the airport and £35 for a taxi home from East Mids. That was an expensive night.

Soar Fox Posted 24 June 2013 Posted 24 June 2013 Was she worth it? Cant really remember. By the time I got back to her hotel the unlimited free bar I had been drinking in had well and truly kicked in.

Though I'm not interested in museums, architecture and churches so I personally thought a couple of days there was ample for me. I used to love putting my earphones in and just getting lost wandering around in the city before stopping for a pizza (best pizza I've ever had around Venice and lido) and trying to work my way back to St Marks. Love Italy.

Ozwin Posted 24 June 2013 Author Posted 24 June 2013 So it went from Turkey to Gran Canaria to...Canada. Yeah. 2013 WOOO!
ronnup Posted 25 June 2013 Posted 25 June 2013 Traveling Marseille to Barca in July August. Hearing very mixed reports of Marseille. I quite like places to have a slight edge, some character. Anyone been to Marseille?

Guest MattP Posted 25 June 2013 Posted 25 June 2013 Hahahahaaa good lad! I went 2 weeks ago, it was the fuuckin pits but in a good way. Mambo's in the day absolutely buried me. Quality place, I couldn't stop being sick after going on the Bronco.

Mambo's is quality, the gobshite on the microphone in the afternoons had us in stitches at the some of the stuff he was saying.

Soar Fox Posted 25 June 2013 Posted 25 June 2013 How was it mate? Going there on the 31st July Like Ric Flair said its the pits but in a good way. Alcohol at night is dirt cheap most of the time I was getting buy one get one free on bottles of Stella. Or paying €6/7 for all you can drink for an hour in most bars. BCM square is a good place to drink in, especially when they do the Magaluf wet T-Shirt competition.
Soar Fox Posted 25 June 2013 Posted 25 June 2013 Is it still the geezer with the ponytail who is about 50? No, bloke in his late 20's early 30's with short hair. Right gobby bloke but funny. Nice relaxing atmosphere in there in the afternoon.

Guest Posted 25 June 2013 Posted 25 June 2013 Anyone got any tips on places to go in California? Thinking of basing myself around LA for around 10 days then San Francisco for another 10 in October. Hiring a car shouldn't be a problem so driving about to stuff should be straight forward
Guest MattP Posted 25 June 2013 Posted 25 June 2013 Anyone got any tips on places to go in California? Thinking of basing myself around LA for around 10 days then San Francisco for another 10 in October. Hiring a car shouldn't be a problem so driving about to stuff should be straight forward Spend most of your time in Santa Monica if you are in LA, beautiful place and you'll bump into a Curb cast member at some point. San Francisco is one of my favourite cities in the World, so many beautiful sites and the bar scene is so laid back. Twin Peaks, Golden Gate Bridge, Lombard Street, so many things to see.
Ric Flair Posted 25 June 2013 Posted 25 June 2013 Hahahahahaa that bloke in Mambo's is amazing, but we upset him. He was chuntering on being abusive to people and I walked past in a POLSKA cap that i'd bought in Krakow. I like to pretend to be Polish on holiday as the abuse you get is immense. He said on the mic " bloody hell, POLSKA have Tesco's let you have the weekend off? " which was funny and he then asked me my name and where I was from so I said I was from Derby and that I was Mick Philpott's nephew, that went down about as well as a mug of sick. It takes a lot to upset that bloke. Hahahahaaa I bought 3 litres of schnapps from the bar for 100 euros and he was genuinely a little perturbed by us. I also went on the bronco in the nude. I'm nearly 30, I should be put down.
Fox in the North Posted 25 June 2013 Posted 25 June 2013 Just spending 5 days on the isle of bute with the girlfriend. After a hectic day travelling back from my year abroad it's pretty chilled with food and drink. Life is very good indeed.
