cambridgefox Posted 30 April 2013 Posted 30 April 2013 Off to Tignes tomorrow for some end of season boarding. Starting to wrap my head round some freestyle stuff so really looking forward to the parks there. Anybody else going that way soon or been this season? You lucky sod.High altitude resort, could well be snow .Alpe dhuez for me this year, too much snow while there 1ft a day.Vision terrible for 3 days, never been over so many times.Enjoy.
Ric Flair Posted 1 May 2013 Posted 1 May 2013 Don't take the speedboats, those things are rough. The slow boat takes two long days but the scenery is worth it and the boat is full of backpackers to talk to. You used to be able to go the other way up into China too but not many people did it so I'm not sure if that company is still running the trip. Yeah that's what we'll do, we'll be going for a month so a couple of days travelling is no bother. Cheers
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 Just booked America and Central America for late August for 2 months can't wait except to fly home from Costa Rica via New York takes close to 50 hours in transit.......that's the issue with living in a country fooking miles away.

Why do you have to fly via New York? Surely that is in the opposite direction.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 Saves me about $2k....not ideal but san jose to Melbourne was 34 hours anyway. NY return $1250 and one way san jose to new york $180 Melb to NY $1100 and san jose to melbourne $2200 more direct $2600. It's a joke i know but $2k when on a budget is a lot of coin.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 forgot to mention i'm starting in New York hence why my return is there as opposed to one of the west coast towns and i'm not going west coast

Guest MattP Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 Flying to Banus tomorrow then Marbella for a few days. Annoying thing is after Sunday I still can't myself up for it.
Carl the Llama Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 Just got back from Brussels, also went to Bruges for a day. Had a great time! Bruges is a shithole.
MC Prussian Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 Not planned anything yet, but Morocco in late summer/early autumn looks like it fits my bill. Always wanted to go there. Anyone having recommendations? Anyone been to Casablanca, Marrakech, Rabat, Fes, Tangier? Not so keen on Agadir, I fancy a "cultural excursion" and not that much lying around at a pool or near the sea. Read a newspaper article on Moulay Idriss Zerhoun a few months back and I've been hooked every since.
Wymsey Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 Going to go to Malta for the Air-Rally competition, in a month's time, for a week (as Step-Father taking part, and he invited me). Then Dinard, France, in August for a week.
Ozwin Posted 14 May 2013 Author Posted 14 May 2013 When's the best time to book? Lets say we want to go late July/early August you reckon we should sort it soonish?
whoareyaaa Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 Menorca end of the month to chill out for a week, may go Florida in August.
ousefox Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 Off to Crete for a week in 3 weeks time, just for a bit of a relax after exams etc. My mate's Grandad has an apartment in Murcia so will probably go there with a couple of mates just for a laugh- much to do there anyone? Will probably book a last minute lads holiday, want it to be as cheap as possible as none of my mates seem to be able to deal with their finances at uni! Anyone know the best places to book last minute deals? Haven't really done it before..
Simmo86 Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 All my money is going into my house. No sun for me this year
Webbo Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 When's the best time to book? Lets say we want to go late July/early August you reckon we should sort it soonish? If you want a late availability they start offering them 6 weeks before.
JimmyB Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 Going to Cuba for 2 weeks next month. Someone please tell me it's gonna be amazing. Thanks.
ronnup Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 Going to Cuba for 2 weeks next month. Someone please tell me it's gonna be amazing. Thanks. Depends where you're going, but I loved Cuba. Havana is a sensational city and there's lots of great places. Amazing country.
JimmyB Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 All inclusive in Cayo Coco mate, could be a struggle to pull in any time at Havana, as much as I'd like to. 6 hour drive or a flight isn't ideal!
