Thanks, I think we will fly. I have flown to Schiphol before but I went to Enschede then and only visited Amsterdam for half a day on the way back. I am not sure where we will be staying but it will probably be 3 guys aged around 24; we will want to stay in the centre for a decent price but don't mind paying a little more for a nicer place.

I suppose it all depends on what you're after but you really are spoilt for choice & there's something for everyone.

You'll have a great time!!

Loved it.

Go to Atlantis for a bit but not to much, Movida is a great club but pricey.

irish pub in media rotunda is great but its name scapes me.

If racing is on at Meydan or Al Jeli go for that.

Place is full of prostitutes as well.

Schiphol is HUUUUUUUGE! A LOT of walking to do in that airport!

Best way to get there though on a 50min flight.

We would like to remind all cushtomers that schiphol airport maintainsh a non schmoking polishy... Learnt that while sitting waiting for a flight from there once.

I went on a week's cruise as part of my 18th birthday celebrations around the UAE - The notable places went to were Bahrain Dubai, Qatar and Muscat.

Dubai was the best by far.

When we off-boarded from the Dubai port, we had lunch at the Atlantis (which MattP mentioned); I would certainly stay there if I were to visit in Dubai again - in a great location too.

I, on the contrary, hated Dubai lol Stopped there for 3 days on my way to 3 weeks in India which I freakin' loved so I guess that shows my preferences!

As an aside, I was in NYC last week and, on the day we got shafted by Watford (KO 7:30am, killer) I ended up in a hot tub on a rooftop after an all you can drink champagne brunch - it's what I imagine you get up to on holiday :D

I might be in New York later this year, send me the place where you can do that.

I broke the record for champagne on the Hong Kong - Dubai flight according to the attendant when I sank 27 glasses. I'll give that all you can drink lark a real go and get my monies worth. :D

I would but for the arguments I would get into with Zingari on my return.

Off to Edinburgh this weekend, been leg down by a mate so unfortunately - I'm on my own.

Staying in the city centre, any idea of stuff I can do to keep myself entertained?

I went last year during the Fringe so spent most of the time drinking and seeing average comedy. The Natural History museum was good though (and you can go on the roof which has a good view). I also popped to the Botanical Gardens where I coincidentally bumped into Monk. Send him a PM and he can tell you more I'm sure!

The brunch was in the Meat Packing district - there's a few of them round there. They're champagne cocktails. I'll get the names of a few places from my mate who lives there. The hotel with the hot tub was the Standard. I think you need a guest car to operate the lift but we staggered in drunk at the same time as some guests so fluked our way up

Nice :D

Booked a week in Paris for late June, nice time to go and I can catch some good racing while we are there, French Oaks is on at Longchamp and that's the last French classic I need to complete the list.

Off to Tunisia in July, Is it too early to be in wind-down pre-holiday mode with 6 weeks still to go?

Also booked Orlando for next October, excited but never had to wait so long for a holiday.

Timeshare is in Qawra.... North of the Island, one bay up from St.Julians

We love it.. The culture, the History, the Fireworks (best in the World) and the climate.
