BHAFC Braders Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 Sorry guys - missed the game ( one of only two I'm missing this season) , but was expecting us to get spanked and by the sound of it we held our own. REALLY need to sort out this striker problem mind.

BHAFC Braders Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 what's the other away you're missing? Very good draw at QPR though, and a clean sheet too Charlton boxing day , and yeah our defence seems to be doing alright , conceded 1 in the last 4 - just need to be a bit more ruthless with our chances.
Corky Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 QPR have drawn with Brighton. Early of course but they don't seem to be steamrolling the league atm, scrappy 1-0 wins at home, it's not overly impressive tbh. Might I suggest they aren't the dominant force some thought they would be? Still think they're the best team in the league but are they really that good? Given the love for Redknapp's style of football I'd have thought they'd be winning more convincingly by now. They will click at some point and I'm pleased we're in touching distance of them.

ealingfox Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 Beckford Watch Fine start to the season for Jermaine, 1 goal so far meaning he is on course to reach the dizzy heights of 9 goals per season, his customary return. His all-round contribution, impressive work rate and endless talent have also helped his new side to 3 points from their first 8 games. Keep it up Jermaine!
Fox42 Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 QPR want an on-loan striker. Like they're desperate for one. I seriously don't understand that club.
Leicesterpool Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 I don't think QPR will run away with the league, they seem to remind of the leicester team of 2011-12 season where we've got a squad full of big named players that are under performing. So a bad run awaits them!
ADK Posted 19 September 2013 Author Posted 19 September 2013 QPR are top of the league with 17 from a possible 21, not sure why people think that is some how not running away with it.
Loggy88 Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 It's gonna be tighter than ever this season for me. QPR will be in contention for automatic promotion in the latter stages of the season, but they won't run away with it. They have been very lucky in at least 2 or 3 games already and havnt scored many or let in many but sooner or later they will lose a game and then we will see how they react. Redknapp still a good manager but they don't have me quaking in my boots. Reading will get better i think. Forest will get better i hate to say as well. We are just as good as anyone In the league at the moment. We could beat QPR, without question.
LCFC FOX Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 Pete O'Rourke â€@SkySportsPeteO4m Nottingham Forest are set to win the race to sign Chelsea midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah on loan. #NFFC #CFC Good signing that

cc_star Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 Shame for us but Forest seemed more keen to pay his wages as requested by Chelsea so fair enough. Would be a big loan fee too We might have had more room to manoeuvre with new arrivals had we been able to offload the likes of Gally, Konch, Danns... As it stands I doubt we'd have been able to afford the loan fee Chelsea were demanding

Super_horns Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 Would be a big loan fee too Not sure but it was reported Chelsea wanted any club to pay most of the 35k a week Chalobah is on! I think Chalobah will be a top player but if youngsters are earning that much at 18 then no wonder some don't have the appetite to progress and make sure they improve....

If and when he doesn't become a top player and an also ran at the club, good luck in shifting him.

Totally agree with every word. Sums Chelsea up that they're paying someone of his age that kind of money. The club is poison to the game.

conLAD logan Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 its a striker they need, not a midfielder, but hey don't let them hear that!
lgfualol Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 Wow, I'd love 35k a year. And I'm older than the ****.
RedHux Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 We've got hundreds of strikers of all different kinds. We need to replace the chap we sold to palace because Andy Reid, despite what his ego might tell him, is no defensive mid.
Harry - LCFC Posted 20 September 2013 Posted 20 September 2013 Lingard to Birmingham, one month loan initially.
