Are you ever impressed with anything? lol

I've been impressed by Man City ripping teams to shreds this season, Arsenal and Man Utd for example. Impressed by a 1-0 away performance? Nah. Do me a favour. This is the Premiership we're talking about. The amount of money spent on that Chelsea side makes me expect them to entertain me. That's why I'm watching it after all.

Now Leicester, they've been impressive :)

If you don't think a clean sheet away at a team like that is impressive then I just despair.

I can't be the one who gets wound up by that fake Yorkshire **** on the Hotels4U ad.

Tactically it was a masterclass. Big sides have gone to Man City and been annihilated. Mourinho set up to counter and did so brilliantly and should've won by 3 or 4.

City looked shite because Chelsea dominated them all over the park.

They had about 3 or 4 chances, Man City had about 2 or 3 sitters. They were definitely the better team but let's not make the game out to be something it wasn't. They were comfortable, they didn't batter them from start to finish though.

No doubt Mourinho got his tactics right but a 'masterclass' is something I reserve for a special display. There's only so special you can be in an away performance like that. Most of it was defensive work coupled with a few effective breaks. There was a period in the first half where they penned them in and looked to score more but it didn't last more than 15 minutes.

A masterclass is like us against Derby. A team completely dominating the ball and playing sublime attacking football.

So you despair because Man City were well below their best. Right.

It's impressive in a way but it's not get out of my seat and clap impressive is it?

They hit the post 3 times and missed 2 or 3 other very good chances (including a 4 vs 1 counter attack). They could've won by 3 easily.

I'll repeat it again, everyone who has been to Man City this season has been absolutely whammed. Chelsea dominated them. Because Mourinho was tactically superb and all the players put in top performances. Simple.

Dominated means having most of the ball and camping in the oppositions half. The second half was nothing like that. It was a scrappy game which never looked likely to produce another goal on the whole.

I'm not disputing Chelsea did well on the night and deserved to win. I just dispute people wanking over it like it was liquid football and a performance for the ages.

But not all brilliant performances are 6-0 wins with silky football etc all night.

Some brilliant performances are 0-1 away wins when you execute your tactics perfectly and beat your biggest title rival.

Man City looked quite ordinary tonight! To give some credit to Chelsea they defended pretty well and didn't give Man City time on the ball. Man City's defending tonight was shocking! there defending at the start of the season was poor and i thought though they sorted that all out recently but Chelsea have just shown that problem is still there. They can still win the league of course but that result was certainly a major set back!

Derby were well below their best but you called our game against them a tactical master class?

Perhaps City were below their best because they were simply out played, something no manager has done to them at home in the League in ages.

Chelsea did everything right in terms of getting a win away at what is probably the toughest place to go in Europe at the moment. For me, that is very, very impressive.

Pains me to say Hazard was impressive, but he was. Not many wingers in the PL beat Zabaleta like he did tonight.

hahaha I love Jose. Still pretending he isn't even trying to win the league this year. "Ey no we are a team for next season, I can't try and win the league this year".

Kept Silva, Toure, Negredo, Navas and Dzeko quiet for the whole game while remaining the more deadly and creative side scoring and hitting the woodwork 3 times. First time a team in the league has kept a clean sheet at the Etihad since 2010 I think.

Definitely a tactical master-class in my opinion.

Roughly translated that means 'Hell yeah we can win the league' lol

So if we went to the Eitihad next season and won 1-0 you wouldn't be impressed? You do make me laugh sometimes, that Chelsea side is there to win things not entertain you, that's what the money's spent on.

Agreed that Aguerro and Fernandinho could have made a difference but regardless top 6 sides, including the one current sat top of the Prem, have gone there and been absolutely handed, and it'll be interesting to see how Barcelona do against them. That was text book counter attacking football, Manchester City didn't play badly of their own accord they were made to play badly, very reminiscent of Madrid's 2-1 win at the Nou Camp in 2012 which effectively won Madrid the title. It is not coincidence that a lot of these excellent sides are often undone by a Mourinho team, The all conquering Man United side, Juve and Milan, Barcelona and now City. It is easy to say money is the answer as to why he always does well but money could not buy that Barcelona side he pipped to the title, and he was hardly handed a blank cheque book at Inter or Porto yet still succeeded at domestic and European level, ironically it's when he's spent the most money that he's failed to win the Champions League. When it comes to the big games Mourinho does his home work and he get's it right with scary consistency. His major weakness for me is his arrogance and failure to prepare for teams like West Ham who are there for a point but that's another story, they deserve the points tonight.

Bet Yaya Toure wondered what hit him tonight.

Matic was absolutely brilliant, kept Yaya Toure very quiet, out strengthened him on many occasions, won quite a few tackles against him as well. While Matic was also capable of going forward with pace and skill, and linking well with team mates.

Thought Cahill was absolutely superb as well, solid as a rock, that's what we need to see with the World Cup coming up.

I've knocked Cahill a lot but him and Terry are solid as a pair. We need Terry at the World Cup.
