Spudulike Posted 7 June 2013 Share Posted 7 June 2013 I really hope not. Can't imagine 6,000 fans (or less) will generate much cash and make it worthwhile. Anyone know who the 3 are (Walsall aside) ?? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22820143
Voll Blau Posted 7 June 2013 Share Posted 7 June 2013 Sad to see this kind of thing happen with any club. Wish them all the best in finding a new home within their own city.
Kitchandro Posted 7 June 2013 Share Posted 7 June 2013 Aren't there any shithole little grounds in Coventry they can use?
Finnaldo Posted 7 June 2013 Share Posted 7 June 2013 Hinckley would be funny. Plus their my local team and could really use the money.
Finnegan Posted 7 June 2013 Share Posted 7 June 2013 Hinckley would be better. They're not confident of getting more than six k anyway, surely they'd get better value from Hinckley who are nearer and could well use the rent.
Yojoe36 Posted 7 June 2013 Share Posted 7 June 2013 They wouldn't share with us due to the egg chasers. Nuneaton?
Guest Posted 7 June 2013 Share Posted 7 June 2013 They wouldn't share with us due to the egg chasers. The police are concerned about 40k plus people in Leicester on match day, think they could handle 26 (Tigers plus Cov). Not that I want the little feckers anywhere near our stadium. AnotherShitSeason Posted 7 June 2013 Share Posted 7 June 2013 Surely Northampton would be perfect for them? Right size. Direct train line for fans on match days. Seems the obvious choice.

Fox92 Posted 7 June 2013 Share Posted 7 June 2013 This isn't nice to see, as a football fan. I really hope they actually get somewhere eventually in the City of Coventry. Fairly big club are Cov, I do wish them the best. Shouldn't have moved from Highfield Road.

Dan LCFC Posted 7 June 2013 Share Posted 7 June 2013 "Within a 30 mile radius". That worries me as we're just within 30 miles of them are we not? Ground sharing would be a travesty.
VLC86 Posted 7 June 2013 Share Posted 7 June 2013 Ground sharing would be a travesty. Why exactly? Other than having dirty chavs in our ground it wouldn't be the end of the world. Plus, more revenue to balance the books
MarkHowieLCFC Posted 7 June 2013 Share Posted 7 June 2013 Is this for real? Are they really gonna ground share! I wouldn't be completely opposed but they got the Ricoh built-so what's happening with that!

Plus, more revenue to balance the books Can't be arsed with more fixture changes, more fvcked up pitch (of which ours is excellently kept) and worst of all, having Coventry City playing there? Massive no from me. I hope they sort themselves out but the idea of them playing in Leicester is terrible.

Leicester_Numan Posted 7 June 2013 Share Posted 7 June 2013 I think any objections to them using our ground for a while are a bit childish. Wouldn't we want to be helped out if we needed it? I seem to remember us sharing Forest's ground while the Carling stand was being built at Filbo. Do you really want to be seen as less noble, hospitable and helpful as them? Deucalion Posted 7 June 2013 Share Posted 7 June 2013 If we make money on the deal then it has to be a good thing. It will also get right under their skins, it is almost worth doing it for that reason !! On another point, why is our capacity being quoted as 32 312? It is often quoted as 32 500 but I thought the actual capacity was something like 32 562. We are 250 seats short !!
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 7 June 2013 Share Posted 7 June 2013 It's very sad really. So the club have no ground whilst the Ricoh sits empty and unused, and the football club has to rent another ground from a local rival. Who's gaining from any if this? It's all to do with segregation and the suchlike I guess.
AKCJ Posted 8 June 2013 Share Posted 8 June 2013 This is certainly a 'not in my back garden' moment. I'm hoping Cov get a new ground, but please, if there is a God, don't let Cov share the KP with us.
