Dave Richards- new chairman?

Recommended Posts

@GaryLineker: Football clubs do some remarkably strange things. LCFC have Terry Robinson as DOF & Sir Dave Richards as 'advisor' Jeez

Gary Lineker â€@GaryLineker 5m

Seem to recall Sir Dave being very critical of our actions when we salvaged the club from administration all those years ago. Hey ho!

Maybe he is a consultant rather than a full-time appointment?

That can't be a bad thing, although I get the feeling his advice is solely available to Leicester.

DOF looks like a permanent fixture though.

By employing a footballing advisor and DOF? Hardly.

For gods sake, get with the programme and please overreact accordingly.

We've pressed the self destruct button

We pressed that when we started running losses of £30m a season in the championship and paying players over 30k a week.

Trying to control that, is what I would call the opposite of pressing the self destruct button.

It isn't that bad is it? Somebody to get rid of the deadwood and a chairman who has worked with Pearson before? He helped make the Premier League the best league in the World... things are being blown out of proportion

I agree, but couldn't we find someone better ffs.

Ah but it is not easy to get rid of deadwood if they do not want to go? These players are all on a contract to get rid you will either have to sell them (no one wants them as their salaries and demands are too high). Or pay off their contracts. Which will mean we are worse off.

Biting the bullet and either playing them as Lcfc players or even treating them as part of the squad may help. Not isolating them or making them train with the youth players or reserves. After all they are contracted to play for our club so you may as well use them for this purpose. You never know it may even work.

I do not get why LCFC need to employ another bod to bring the spend down? Surely anyone can say no to giving a player 30k a week if the club can not afford it.

Spot on mate! The club seems to be being run by first class idiots.

do you even support Leicester? every post I see you make is always negative

Mmm, I'd double check on that one. I'm probably the most pro Nigel Pearson and the players person on here. I'm not a fan of the owners after firstly, they employed Sven, then tried to employ Redknapp behind Pearson's back. Two dreadful pieces of business.

based on what? newspaper reports?

Sven wasn't exactly as bad as you made out, if you think about it. From a financial part, it wasn't brilliant but we are dealing with that now. He got us out of a slum Sousa got us into, put us on the map a bit more as a football club and boosted the name 'Leicester City Football Club'

Couldn't agree more, he may have over spent, but show me a manager with an open cheque book that wouldn't.

Mandaric employed Sven.

The redknapp stories was likely bullshit, possibly a redknapp PR stunt, and maybe just what astute people do.

Mandaric employed Sven are you sure?
