cjslcfc Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 Equally Cardiff's losses in the cups to Northampton and Macclesfield helped them have a good season with a small squad. There's no science to it IMO. Agreed. There's two sides to it and neither are necessarily correct, so it's best to have a go at the cup, right?
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 Tell them what a fantastic job Pearson's doing, that'll shut them up. Now, now.
Thracian Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 I want to see us taking the cups seriously this season. Bollox to all the 'save it for the league' stuff. I'd like to see the club enjoy a decent run in the cup as well as competing well in the league. Having been lucky enough to see us doing well in the League Cup, I know how exciting it can get and the momentum it can give the team. One of my biggest disappointments last season was the way in which we went out of both cups in a pathetic fashion. I really don't want to see that happen again.
iamafox Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 I'm sure Pearson will put out a team that is more than capable enough of beating a League 2 club, Burton aside.
SmithyFox12 Posted 6 August 2013 Posted 6 August 2013 Going to this as I missed Boro last Saturday. Would like to see Bakayogo given a decent run-out as he looked quite good against Northampton. Also would like to see Vardy and Waghorn play most of the game.
NEfox Posted 6 August 2013 Posted 6 August 2013 i would not make too many changes. I would just bring in Knockaert and Bakayogo. Making too many changes may affect the team, which is what may have happened with Huddersfield cup game last year. Although being only the second game of the season, it probably will not matter.
coolhandfox Posted 6 August 2013 Posted 6 August 2013 Need to generate as much revenue as possible so two good cup runs would help!
Captain... Posted 6 August 2013 Posted 6 August 2013 Need to generate as much revenue as possible so two good cup runs would help! Interesting point, with FFP will clubs be taking the cups more seriously as it increases reveue?
phillo Posted 6 August 2013 Posted 6 August 2013 We should send a decent team and give these a hammering to keep the momentum moving
