johnny the fox Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Last minute lucky goal grabs us a point against Scunthorpe. Lowest crowd in Coventry for a league game in something like 50 years. no need to worry.. pressley see's good signs.....
block15ccfc Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 no need to worry.. pressley see's good signs..... He said he was proud of his team and they played well. Absolutely laughable that is
Voll Blau Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 LCFC has a lot of major connections and support in the game, compared with cov.. plus the base support would cause such fookin ructions in the city it would not be worth any carpet baggers efforts to try to get away with it.. for me the opposition to SISU has been half hearted from the fans and city.. Not so sure mate, plenty of apathy among our support. Would like to think you're right in waht you say though.
Dan Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 What would you do though? We have tried pretty much everything to try and get SISU out and they will not go. I have protested across the country with Coventry and was even one of those who watched every Sixfields game from the hill outside the stadium. Trust me, there is nothing that will make SISU go. Turn violent. Pitch invade every game. Embarrass them.
Fox92 Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Genuinely think they're the next Darlington. There are a lot of big sides around the Conference these days. The likes of Grimsby, Lincoln, Wrexham, Bristol Rovers...
Asha Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 There are a lot of big sides around the Conference these days. The likes of Grimsby, Lincoln, Wrexham, Bristol Rovers... Darlington aren't in the Conference, they went bust and are several divisions lower than that now.
Fox92 Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Darlington aren't in the Conference, they went bust and are several divisions lower than that now. I know yeah I was just adding on to that comment.
Leicesterpool Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 There are a lot of big sides around the Conference these days. The likes of Grimsby, Lincoln, Wrexham, Bristol Rovers... Plus not forgetting Stockport County, now playing in the conference north.
block15ccfc Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Turn violent. Pitch invade every game. Embarrass them. Done that a few times when we moved to Sixfields. It resulted in 3 year bans for people and negativity from the press. SISU don't even have a representative at league games, they probably don't even know last nights score.
Crinklyfox Posted 12 February 2015 Posted 12 February 2015 In my youth Coventry were big Midlands rivals and the games against City normally had a bit of spice to them. Coventry are a bigger club than some that have been in the PL in recent memory, and I'm genuinely sorry to see a club like Coventry where it is now. There are several big clubs that have gone down through the divisions (Wolves spring to mind) and come back. Hope they have better times ahead.

Collymore Posted 12 February 2015 Posted 12 February 2015 Plus not forgetting Stockport County, now playing in the conference north. Weren't they in League 1 when we were? That's a fall from grace...
Corky Posted 12 February 2015 Posted 12 February 2015 We had Stockport and Bristol Rovers who are now both non-league, Hartlepool are heading that way and Hereford no longer exist.
block15ccfc Posted 12 February 2015 Posted 12 February 2015 Weren't they in League 1 when we were? That's a fall from grace... They were the first team we played following our relegation from the Premier League.

Guest kristianity77 Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 Bad set of results for them as well today with 3 of the bottom 4 winning. Midweek games as well involving teams at the bottom (but not Coventry). Could finally be in the bottom 4 next time they play. Vanishing without a trace it seems!
SpacedX Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 I watched a training session, back end of last season. Steve Pressley is a gentleman, very courteous and takes time to listen to the opinions of others and seems to be very well respected at the club. It's a shame Moussa didn't stay IMO and the money from Callum Wilson has been spirited away by SISA. There is practically no money available for SP to spend their main hope lies in the academy and nurture similar homegrown talent to Callum Wilson. They should have persuaded Cal Crutchlow to think again about opting for a career on a motorcycle even though Moto GP is the two wheeled equivalent to the Premiership for a rider. I always hated Cov but I'd rather have them around where they belong. This is a sad indictment on the state of the game and a reminder of the increasingly yawing chasm between the 'haves and have nots' which could engulf them altogether.

Sheffield United away on Saturday, not a good time to face a side as good as them!
Asha Posted 21 February 2015 Posted 21 February 2015 Coventry in the relegation zone now after binning a 2-0 lead against Sheffield United.
SemperEadem Posted 21 February 2015 Posted 21 February 2015 Went and watched them at united today. They played well, John Fleck looks far too good for them.
Fox92 Posted 21 February 2015 Posted 21 February 2015 Was surprised Fleck went there in the first place.
block15ccfc Posted 21 February 2015 Posted 21 February 2015 Gave away a 2-0 lead against a side with 10 men today. Currently sitting in the relegation zone with MK Dons up next.
block15ccfc Posted 21 February 2015 Posted 21 February 2015 Went and watched them at united today. They played well, John Fleck looks far too good for them. Had so much potential a few years back, but has been pretty woeful this season.
