jock2612 Posted 8 August 2013 Share Posted 8 August 2013 I have just read the LM with regard to NP being unhappy at outside transfer pressure on the players.I am not sure if it is me but he seems to indicate that he is out of the loop as to Konch info and being told that agents are suggesting our players are available.Does anyone think this is a dig at the director of football not telling him whats going on or just fed up with speculation? I never thought that NP was the sort of character to accept a DOF,I can see trouble not far off!!!!

Storm clouds are a gathering, only wins can keep the Dragons at bay, as the willy puller awaits his place on the Kings throne. Is it me or does that sound like a trailer for that Sky soft porn medeval series, Game of Thongs?
Craig Posted 8 August 2013 Share Posted 8 August 2013 "I don't know anything about it (Konchesky to QPR reports), it is as simple as that. I suppose I will find out in good time." The key line.
Micky Posted 8 August 2013 Share Posted 8 August 2013 So if Pearson gets the bullet, will Tony Pulis be favourite for the job?
Bryn Posted 8 August 2013 Share Posted 8 August 2013 He probably doesn't appreciate it, but it's the way English football is going. Might as well get used to it sooner rather than later.

RobHawk Posted 8 August 2013 Share Posted 8 August 2013 Just read the article in question! Having read i think hes moaning more about agents and the press (probably stringer). We don't even know if there is a bid for Konch so assuming there an issue with the DoF seems a bit premature at this stage. For me this is typical Nig trying to go about his business quietly and respectfully and only announcing signings when the happen. He's always done it this way and never likes talking about potential transfers so why would that change! There's been a lot of talk this summer with little action so he's probably fed up of all the crap that's been said and reported! Can't blame him really! Fox92 Posted 8 August 2013 Share Posted 8 August 2013 Not suprised if true. Nige doesn't seem the type to have a DOF.
Happy Fox Posted 8 August 2013 Share Posted 8 August 2013 You have got to wonder if the owners wanted this scenario to put NP even under more pressure to deliver, I am not fussed either way because it is NP's last chance saloon with his contract running out at the end of the season. Captain... Posted 8 August 2013 Share Posted 8 August 2013 I think it is more about the claim by an agent he could get any player from Leicester. I think he is just sick of all the speculation and crap floating around, not just here but in all aspects of football it is ridiculous, I've heard more about transfers that haven't happened than those that have. Bale, Suarez and Rooney are splashed all over the back pages but actual transfers that get made get very little coverage, it is weird.
stevelcfc Posted 8 August 2013 Share Posted 8 August 2013 Agents are the biggest problem in the game, the reason for little loyalty, reason for high prices and the reason why NP is pissed. AGENTS OUT!!
Guest Posted 8 August 2013 Share Posted 8 August 2013 When Beckford was sold the management and coaching staff only found out when they reported his non attendance at the training ground (with the youth set up) and were told he'd been sold. That may be true but it would not have been a surprise as everyone (including everyone on here) new he was in talks with Bolton weeks before an agreement was reached! DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 8 August 2013 Share Posted 8 August 2013 I'm wouldn't be at all surprised. I stated from the outset that Robinson would be the "puppet master", and have NP dancing to his tune. II it is true, then it hasn't taken long.

The transfer to Bolton saga had been going on for weeks in the media, so that can hardly claim to be a shock to anybody
Mack Posted 8 August 2013 Share Posted 8 August 2013 Anyone interfering with Nigel's vision for the playing squad at the club is going to get both barrels at some point.
artursteppe Posted 8 August 2013 Share Posted 8 August 2013 The hierarchy at the club are keeping all options open. The Konch and St Ledger situation, and you can probably include Danns and Gallagher, and maybe Dyer and Waghorn as well suggests to me that the negotiators at the top are intent on getting rid of as many from that list as possible, either sold within this window, or out on loan later with a view to selling in January, with a requisite loanee list to at least January keeping us not only competitive, but possibly much improved. This would then, if the plans were to be successful, put us in the situation of keeping Pearson, dependant on his success over the next few months, or getting shot. The aim being in January that some funds could be available, whether it be for quality loan players or purchases, for either Pearson or his successor. There is no point in asking for Pearson's approval of this plan, because he would try to demand too much money for incoming players whilst his medium to long term tenure at the club is undecided.
