Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 Hearing that he was instrumental in their promotion, looks like a good bit of business for ourselves. I'm also liking "screamer against Leeds". Hell, I'd even take "middle finger against Leeds"
Tom17LCFC Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 Good signing, got a right shot on him as well if I remember rightly. Happy with this.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 Great signing and good DM too. However, on one of the Albion forums they say he doesn't play a fast game
Jace Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 I think it's the latter. Remember him being very good for Saints in the championship! Reckon it's a shrewd signing by Nige, especially where we needed more experience in CM. Maybe the hard working battler we've all wanted? Hopefully a young Richie Wellens
Guest Col city fan Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 A defensive midfielder AND a natural leader on the pitch!!? Yes!! lol I'm loving Nige tonight!!
Ashley Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 Is this a free transfer or have we paid money for him?
Jimothy Posted 30 August 2013 Author Posted 30 August 2013 Is this a free transfer or have we paid money for him? Southampton's official twitter says undisclosed fee.

Hell, I'd even take "middle finger against Leeds" A shot on target against Leeds would be enough for me after the last match
funkyrobot Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 Hopefully a young Richie Wellens Hopefully he's much better than that.
Bert Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 I hope all of those who slated Bert have the balls to come out and opologise. They won't do, too busy hiding behind their keyboards.
Harry - LCFC Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 Impressed by the number of appearances he made for Brighton last season. They were a good team so he must have done something right to play so many games for them.
Number 6 Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 Seems like one of those under the radar Pearson signings that could turn out to be very useful.
cjslcfc Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 A defensive midfielder AND a natural leader on the pitch!!? Yes!! lol I'm loving Nige tonight!! The exact type of player the majority of this forum has been harking on about getting in our squad. Perfect for a three in midfield and perfect for when the going gets tough. The fact he has captained a side to the premier league can only be a good thing!
crisp packet Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 At last expierience ! Very happy with this!!!
theessexfox Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 How many games will it take for the fans to get on his back?
KFS Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 Best mate is a Saints fan, says he was instrumental from League one to the Prem. He said he's quite slow, but sounds like what we've needed for a while!
Micky Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 They won't do, too busy hiding behind their keyboards. The sad fact is that the are envious because they would like to have some contacts on the inside. Silly little boys and girls.
Jace Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 The great thing about this signing is he lives in the South so no need for any long car journeys from the North
Craig Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 Midfield of James, King, and Hammond? James to play a slightly more attacking role? Hope so, he's certainly capable.
LCFC FOX Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 Midfield of James, King, and Hammond? James to play a slightly more attacking role? Hope so, he's certainly capable. Would sooner King play the more attacking role
cjslcfc Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 Midfield of James, King, and Hammond? James to play a slightly more attacking role? Hope so, he's certainly capable. oooft, Hammond breaking up play, King running box to box and james having more of a free role?
Harry - LCFC Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 oooft, Hammond breaking up play, King running box to box and james having more of a free role? Sign me up for some of that!
