Micky Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 I am amazed that people would consider dropping Drinky. A great midfielder, with a big future ahead of him. So much of our play goes through him. IMO Pearson will not drop him.
Dan Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 Cracking signing given what the Saints fans have been saying. Exactly the type of player who'll get you out of this league. Good work Pearson - and credit to Bert too.

IMO Pearson will not drop him. Drinky isn't as good a player as James or King in my opinion so its understandable that his place is most at threat from this signing.
Jimmy Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 hopefully this will release King to bomb on and get the goals like he did before Pearson returned, quality signing

IMO Pearson will not drop him. They all have a role to play. This just gives us some experience which we've been lacking!
johnny the fox Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 Im reserving judgement till he passes nigels headbutt test.
MikeyT Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 Know absolutely diddley squat about him. But welcome to the club and good luck

Poakey Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 Ohhhhhhhh ooohh, ohhhhhhhh ohhh , oooooooohhhh ohh, oooooohhh dean hammond, na na na na na na na Dosent have the same ring to it. Well done Pearson!!, cheers for the info Bert!!
Bluetintedspecs Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 Don't know a great deal about him tbh, however an experienced head in the middle of the park will be invaluable during the campaign. Pleased!
EnderbyFox Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 Good player at this level. Brighton fans don't seem too disappointed to lose out on him http://www.northstandchat.com/showthread.php?283537-Dean-Hammond-UPDATE-Signs-for-Leicester-City/page6 This one has done his research Leicester have seriously bulked up their squad with mediocre players this year. Can only see that helping us (and other play-off hopefuls)

GingerrrFox Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 The interesting bit was "can't see Leicester appreciating him do a twirl then pass it backwards". Isn't that what Drinkwater gets slated for?...
theessexfox Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 They also said they can't imagine many teams affording his wages.
hackneyfox Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 Doubt he would be on a lot if he never played in the Premier, either that or Pearson really wanted him.
Leicester_Numan Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 That's the experienced DM we've wanted since pre-season last year and he's a permanent signing. Full marks all round including to Bert
deep blue Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 The great thing about this signing is he lives in the South so no need for any long car journeys from the North Isn't Leicester more or less equidistant from Manchester and London? But at least he won't be travelling with the Manc mafia.
Guest Col city fan Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 Where's Babs and his comments about DM's?
Guest Bilo Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 Exactly the kind of player we need, if not the most exciting transfer. He'll strengthen the engine room in midfield and give us some more bite. A decent signing. As has already been said, one or two more signings and we have a very good squad that could potentially be looking at promotion again.
